A. Rex Adams

Age: 82
PAULDING A. Rex Adams, 82, died at 8:55 p.m. (EDT) Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, at his sons residence following an extended illness.
He was born Oct. 13, 1920, in Oakwood, the son of the late William and Minnie (Grimes) Adams. On Aug. 25, 1951, he married Lavoon Naomi Klingler, who preceded him in death on March 29, 1991.
Mr. Adams was employed at Grizzly Manufacturing, Paulding from 1948 until his retirement in 1980. He was housekeeper for the Paulding County Hospital until retiring in 1985. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a staff sergeant.
Survivors include:
Sons Robert R. (JoAnn) Perl of Paulding and Gail (Judy) J. Perl of Van Wert
Brother Curtis Adams of Paulding
Sisters Fanny May (Alvin) Long of Oakwood and Reva Hammon of Jewell
Eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Nancy Perl and Rose Ellen Ross and a great-grandson, Josh Perl
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. (EDT) Tuesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Paulding, the Rev. Kenneth Van Loon officiating.
Calling hours are 2-9 p.m. (EDT) today at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
Michael Jon Cunningham
Died: Friday, August 29, 2003
Age: 51
DEFIANCE Michael Jon Cunningham, 51, died at 1:12 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind., shortly after admission as the result of an ATV accident in Paulding County Thursday evening, Aug. 28, 2003.
He was born on Jan. 14, 1952, in Defiance, the son of Norma I. (Robnolte) Cunningham of Defiance and the late Robert E. Cunningham. On Feb. 3, 1973, at Rose Hill Church of God in Paulding, he married Jean Ann Wollum, who survives in Defiance.
Mr. Cunningham was a 1970 graduate of Oakwood High School and a 1972 graduate of Northwestern Business College of Lima. Early in his career he was a securities broker for the Ohio Company of Columbus. He was a sales representative for Palmer-Donavin Manufacturing Company of Delphos and Columbus, retiring in 2000 after 25 years of service. He was presently the managing general for Cunningham FLP of Defiance. He has found lifes answers, and is now at peace in the arms of God.
Other survivors include a daughter, Kerianne Cunningham of Southworth, Wash., and one son, Ryan P. (Melissa) Cunningham of Defiance.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. (EDT) Wednesday at Rose Hill Church of God, Paulding, the Rev. Samuel D. Wollum officiating. Burial will follow in Sherman Cemetery, Brown Township, Paulding County.
Calling hours are 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and an hour prior to service Wednesday at the church.
Preferred memorial is Oakwood EMS.
Mary M. Mueller
Died: Thursday, August 28, 2003
Age: 85
Mary M. Mueller, 85, of Van Wert died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born Oct. 15, 1917, in Mercer County, the daughter of the late Rev. Clayton Manley and Sarah Elizabeth (Reynolds) Proffitt. On Feb. 2, 1942, she married Albert Lewis Mueller, who preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1982.
Mrs. Mueller was a homemaker.
Survivors include:

Seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Benny Clayton Mueller, a sister, Pauline Clark, and three brothers, N.D. "Dave", Rev. Carl and Glenn Proffitt.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. Burial is to follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
DELPHOS - Ella Marie Jacomet
Died: Friday, November 8, 2002
Age: 89
DELPHOS - Ella Marie Jacomet, 89, died at 2:25 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at Medical College Hospital, Toledo.
She was born June 14, 1913, in Allen County, the daughter of the late Oscar Butler and Nora Miller Butler.
In 1932, she married Donald G. Jacomet, who preceded her in death in February 1971.
Mrs. Jacomet was a homemaker.
Survivors include:

Stepdaughter - Patricia of St. Marys
Sister - Eileen (Walter) Byrne of Delphos
Seven grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Jacomet Jr.; four brothers, Gary, Elbert, Lloyd and Paul Butler, and two sisters, Goldie Nottingham and Mildred Clinger.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Ron Lumm officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
GROVER HILL - Owen J Tumblin
Died: Friday, November 8, 2002
Age: 71
GROVER HILL - Owen J. Tumblin, 71, of Grover Hill died at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at his residence.
He was born March 31, 1931, in Paulding County, the son of the late Jesse and Golda (Stewart) Tumblin. His first wife, Bonnie Harter Tumblin, preceded him in death. On July 30, 1960, he married Evelyn Hill, who survives.
Mr. Tumblin worked at B.F. Goodrich, Woodburn, Ind., for 32 years and was also a farmer. A member of Middle Creek United Methodist Church, Grover Hill, he served as president of the Black Swamp CB Club in Grover Hill for many years.
Other survivors include a son, Roger Tumblin of Oakwood; four daughters, Terry (Keith) Geiger of Ottoville, Karen Sanderson of Fort Wayne, Ind., Deborah Lehman of Van Wert and Robin Tumblin of Grover Hill; one brother, Irvin (Anna Marie) Tumblin of North Creek; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Gregory and Dewayne Tumblin; a brother, Justis Tumblin; one sister, Mary Lou Tumblin, and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Middle Creek United Methodist Church, Grover Hill, the Rev. Bill Sherry officiating, assisted by the Rev. Terry Porter. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery, Grover Hill.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Preferred memorials are church building fund or Paulding Area Hospice.
DELPHOS - Linda Carroll Siefker
Died: Thursday, November 7, 2002
Age: 57
DELPHOS - Linda Carroll Siefker, 57, of Delphos died at 4:32 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, at SCCI Hospital, Lima.
She was born March 29, 1945, in Lima, the daughter of Betty Louise Mort Lammers and the late Ralph F. Lammers. On Nov. 9, 1963, she married Lloyd Ray Wreede. They later divorced and on July 31, 1970, she married Daniel Bruce Hennon. The couple later divorced. On Sept. 24, 1988, she married Gerald J. Siefker, who survives.
Mrs. Siefker had worked at Montgomery Wards for 14 years, then 20th Century Lanes for 10 years, then Teleflex for seven years. She was a FOE Aerie 471 Auxiliary member in Delphos and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. She was a 1963 graduate of Elida High School.
Other survivors include two sons, Lloyd Ray (Jackie) Wreede of Polk City, Fla., Daniel Lee (Rachel) Hennon of Spencerville; three stepsons, Michael Seifker of Delphos, Jerry J. Siefker Jr. of Van Wert and William J. Siefker of Oakwood; two daughters, Elizabeth (Joe) Baker and Carla (James) Baker, both of Delphos; one stepdaughter, Lorie (Mark) Ditto of Oakwood; one brother, Ralph A. (Marcia) Lammers of Pandora; one sister, Donna J. (Tom) Long of Cairo, Ga., and 17 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Delphos.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Orians Funeral Home, Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 8 p.m. today.
PORTLAND
Died: Wednesday, November 6, 2002
PORTLAND, Ind. - Ronald O. Barcus, 60, of Portland died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind., following a stroke at home.
He was born Aug. 12, 1942, in Van Wert, the son of Leota (Stemen) Barcus of rural Bryant and the late Floyd Barcus. On May 23, 1988, he married Donna Holbrook, who survives.
Mr. Barcus owned and operated Barcus Small Engine.

Sister - Charlene (Max) Blowers of rural Bryant, Ind.
Nine grandchildren and a great-grandson also survive.
He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Donald Barcus, and a daughter, Barbara L. Barcus.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Pennville Chapel of Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home, the Revs. Bob Sutton and H.R. Burkett officiating. Burial will follow in IOOF Twin Hills Cemetery, Pennville.
