DELPHOS - Linda Carroll Siefker
Died: Thursday, November 7, 2002
Age: 57

DELPHOS - Linda Carroll Siefker, 57, of Delphos died at 4:32 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, at SCCI Hospital, Lima.

She was born March 29, 1945, in Lima, the daughter of Betty Louise Mort Lammers and the late Ralph F. Lammers. On Nov. 9, 1963, she married Lloyd Ray Wreede. They later divorced and on July 31, 1970, she married Daniel Bruce Hennon. The couple later divorced. On Sept. 24, 1988, she married Gerald J. Siefker, who survives.

Mrs. Siefker had worked at Montgomery Wards for 14 years, then 20th Century Lanes for 10 years, then Teleflex for seven years. She was a FOE Aerie 471 Auxiliary member in Delphos and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. She was a 1963 graduate of Elida High School.

Other survivors include two sons, Lloyd Ray (Jackie) Wreede of Polk City, Fla., Daniel Lee (Rachel) Hennon of Spencerville; three stepsons, Michael Seifker of Delphos, Jerry J. Siefker Jr. of Van Wert and William J. Siefker of Oakwood; two daughters, Elizabeth (Joe) Baker and Carla (James) Baker, both of Delphos; one stepdaughter, Lorie (Mark) Ditto of Oakwood; one brother, Ralph A. (Marcia) Lammers of Pandora; one sister, Donna J. (Tom) Long of Cairo, Ga., and 17 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Delphos.

Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Orians Funeral Home, Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 8 p.m. today.

Robert F. Barnett
Died: Tuesday, February 11, 2003
Age: 66

Robert F. Barnett, 66, of Van Wert died at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at Cleveland V.A. Medical Center, Cleveland.

He was born March 27, 1936, in Wheeling, W.Va., the son of the late William Joseph and Bessie Mae (Wilson) Barnett. On Sept. 4, 1971, he married Nancy L. Schnepp, who survives at the residence.

Mr. Barnett, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, retired as a painter from Alexander & Bebout. He attended Van Wert Victory Church and was a member of Isaac Van Wert Post 178, American Legion in Van Wert and Van Wert Eagles 886.

Survivors include three sons, Clarence Edward Barnett of Van Wert, Larry Kemp of Ohio and Bobbie Barnett of West Virginia; two daughters, Carol Barnett of Wheeling, W.Va., and Denise Barnett of Texas ; three stepchildren, Carol Ann Leppard and Paul Ray Thompson, both Van Wert, and Jaydee Thompson of Bellefontaine; one brother, Clarence Barnett of Florida; 12 grandchildren, and five stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, the Rev. Darryl Ramey of Van Wert Victory Church officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.

Calling hours are 4-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is the American Cancer Society.

Martha B. Burnett
Died: Tuesday, February 11, 2003
Age: 83

Martha B. Burnett, 83, of Van Wert died at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at her daughter's residence.

She was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Convoy, the daughter of the late Joseph and Carrie (Pyle) Horine. On Jan. 31, 1948, she married Mathew Max Burnett, who preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1999.

Mrs. Burnett retired in 1982 after 17 years at Kennedy Kit Mfg. in Van Wert. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Van Wert, Kennedy Kit Retired Ladies Club and Women's Circle of the United Methodist Women.

Survivors include one son, Ronald M. (Joyce) Burnett of Lima and Julie A. (Robert) Gamble of Van Wert; four sisters-in-law, Rose Ann Horine, Ruth Mosier and Freda (Dr. Fred) Culler, all of Van Wert, and Alice Burnett of St. Marys; two sisters, Mary (Wayne) Compton and Ruth Horine, both of Van Wert; six grandchildren, Jennifer Gamble, Rob Gamble, Jill Gamble, Sarah Burnett, Katie Worstein and Eve Burnett, and two great-grandchildren, Isaac Perez and Olivia Perez.

She was preceded in death by one brother, David Horine, and a sister, Edna Phillips.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, the Rev. Dr. James C. Dunaway officiating. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery, Converse.

Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are the Food Bank of First United Methodist Church or Angel Foundation of Community Health Professionals.

PAULDING - Emogene G. Adams
Died: Monday, February 10, 2003
Age: 77

PAULDING - Emogene G. Adams, 77, died at 11:35 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 8, 1925, in Paulding, the daughter of the late Isaac and Effie (Roark) Underwood. On June 20, 1946, she married Curtis E. Adams, who survives.

Mrs. Adams worked as a housekeeper for Paulding County Hospital and was a former cook at Barnes Hotel and Rusty Nail, Paulding.

Other survivors include:

Sons - Jerry (Joann) Adams of Paulding and Tony (Neva) Adams of Oakwood

Daughters - Sandra Parrish and Kelly (Tony) Ankney, both of Paulding, and Lynn (James) Nutter of Payne

Ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Junior Underwood, two half brothers, Wesley and Lawrence Rife, and two half sisters, Gazel Cook and Margaret Snow.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Den Herder Funeral Home, with Deacon Donald Coughlin officiating. Burial will be in Cooper Cemetery, Paulding.

Calling hours are 2:30-9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.

CONVOY - Lee V. Owens
Died: Monday, February 10, 2003
Age: 86

CONVOY - Lee V. Owens, 86, of rural Convoy, died unexpectedly at 1 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at Adams County Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Ind.

He was born Feb. 21, 1916, in Van Wert County, the son of the late Grover and Velma (Ramsey) Owens. He married Irene Draper, who preceded him in death. He then married Donna Ratliff, who also preceded him in death. In June 1985, he married Margaret Shaw, who survives in Convoy.

Mr. Owens, a U.S. Army veteran, retired from Central Soya in Decatur in 1974 after 36 years of service. A lifelong Harrison Township farmer and beekeeper, he also retired from the Convoy Equity Exchange in Convoy after seven years of service.

Other survivors include:

Sons - Terry Miller of Convoy, Darryl Hinkle of Spencerville and Paul Douglas Hinkle of St. Marys

Daughters - Bonnie Bennett of Convoy and Marla Sue Hinkle of Wapakoneta

Sisters - Nellie Miller of Convoy and Betty Klinger of Ohio City

Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Crystal Klinger, a twin brother who died in infancy, and a stillborn daughter.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, the Rev. Scott Fleming officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by Adams Post 43 American Legion.

Calling hours are 3-5 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

CLARKSVILLE - Isaac Joseph Lones
Died: Sunday, February 9, 2003
Age: 15

CLARKSVILLE - Isaac Joseph Lones, 15, of Clarksville, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile crash on State Route 380 in Greene County, Ohio.

He was born Dec. 12, 1987, in Muskegon, Mich., the son of Timothy (Tina) Lones of Van Wert and Brenda (Tom) Sherwood of Clarksville.

Isaac, a freshman at Clinton Massie High School, was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington, the 19-11-8 Skate Club, the Clinton Massie baseball team and the Clinton Massie Homecoming Court. He also played in several youth soccer leagues.

Survivors include a brother, Zachary Paul Lones of Clarksville; four sisters, Candie (Brent) Beck of Mason, Amber (Chris) McAllister of Lebanon, and Heidi Lones and Kylie Lones, both of Clarksville; two stepbrothers, Matthew Sherwood of Shelbyville, Ky., and Jordan Parrish of Van Wert; one stepsister, Devan Parrish of Van Wert; grandparents, Clifford and Janet Lones of Muskegon and Bud and Dolly Rose of Fruitport, Mich.; a niece, Lyla Rose McAllister, one nephew, Benjamin Grant McAllister, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington, 55 Megan Drive, Wilmington, the Rev. Kelly D. McInerney officiating. Burial will be in Clarksville Cemetery, Clarksville, Ohio.

Calling hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.

MONTPELIER - Marlo R. Semer
Died: Sunday, February 9, 2003
Age: 80

MONTPELIER - Marlo R. Semer, 80, of Montpelier died at 4:43 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born March 29, 1922, in Alvordton, the son of the late Ray and Myrtle (Freese) Semer. On June 22, 1946, in Angola, Ind., he married Alice J. Kosier, who survives.

Mr. Semer, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, retired in 1983 after 25 years as a city letter carrier for the U.S. Post Office in Montpelier. He was a former Madison Township farmer.

Other survivors include:

Daughters - Connie (Rex) Grice of Montpelier and Melinda (Robert) Kunsman of Bryan

Brothers - Harry (Dorothy) Semer of Montpelier and Glenn D. Semer of Pioneer

Sister - Leota (Herbert) White of Montpelier

Five grandchildren, Aaron, Michael and Beth Grice, and Jason and Matthew Kunsman, and three great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne, and a sister, Linda Knepper.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Montpelier, the Revs. Linda S. Carter and Stephen S. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Floral Grove Cemetery, Pioneer.

Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson Funeral Home, Montpelier.

CELINA - Delores I. Winget
Died: Sunday, February 9, 2003
Age: 80

CELINA - Delores I. Winget, 80, of Celina died at 12:12 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born April 7, 1922, in Rockford, the daughter of the late George Edwin and Edna (Koeppel) Bollenbacher. On Sept. 28, 1940, she married William E. "Bill" Winget, who survives at the residence.

Mrs. Winget was a homemaker.

Other survivors include:

Sons - Keith (Beverly) Winget of South Whitley, Ind., and Lowell E. Winget of Celina

Daughters - Patricia (Bud) Noel and Connie S. (Toney J.) Kidwell, both of Celina, Peggy (John) Richardson of Durango, Colo., Jean (Keith) Eblen of Tulsa, Okla., Toni (John) Mestemaker of North Star and Maryl Sellner of St. Marys

Brother - Marlin (Betty) Bollenbacher of Celina and Ford (Gretchen) Bollenbacher of Rockford

Sister - Betty (Roland) Drey of Prescott Valley, Ariz.

Thirty-five grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by a son, Welcome Edwin Winget on Aug. 8, 1973, three great-granddaughters and two brothers, Walter and Darlene Bollenbacher.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Steven Howell of Grace Missionary Church officiating. Burial will be in Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.

Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
