Marylou Dunlap, 70, of Van Wert died at 12:05 p.m. (EDT) Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born Feb. 23, 1932, in Celina, the daughter of the late William O. and Mary E. (Emans) Agler.
On June 1, 1973, in Grover Hill, she married Robert W. Dunlap, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Dunlap was a homemaker.
Survivors include:
Sons -- Michael W. (Paula) Martz of Wolcottville, Ind., and Kevin M. (Tanya) Martz of Greensburg, Ky.
Daughter -- Donella L. Cornelius of Van Wert
A niece, Leanna Bell, one nephew, David Agler, 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Agler and Lynn Soul, and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point.
Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
DELPHOS - Gertrude A. Calvelage Neal

Age: 86
DELPHOS - Gertrude A. Calvelage Neal, 86, died at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002, at Vancrest Health Care Center of Delphos.
She was born April 15, 1916, in Delphos, the daughter of the late Henry Krebs and Elizabeth Wrocklage. She married Howard Neal, who preceded her in death in 1993.
Mrs. Neal was a waitress at the Star Cafe in Delphos.
Survivors include:
Sons - Fredrick (Ruth) Calvelage of Delphos and Robert (Betty) Calvelage of Fort Jennings
Daughters - Irma (Gene) Meyers and Norma (James) Vonsasson, both of Fort Jennings, and Carol (Sigmund) Ricker of Delphos
Sister - Catherine Tippie of Delphos
Twenty-seven grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Sylvester, Vincent and Carl Krebs, and a sister, Evelyn Krebs.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos, the Rev. Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Delphos.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Friday at Harter and Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos, where a wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

DELPHOS - Gertrude A. Calvelage Neal, 87, died at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002, at Vancrest Health Care Center of Delphos.
She was born April 16, 1915, in Delphos, the daughter of the late Henry Krebs and Elizabeth Wrocklage.
She married Howard Neal, who preceded her in death in 1993.

CONVOY - Jack Newton Pruett
Died: Wednesday, December 25, 2002
Age: 74
CONVOY - Jack Newton Pruett, 74, of Convoy died at 2:46 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 30, 1928, in Tazewell County, Va., the son of the late William Wade and Immogene (Creed) Pruett. On Oct. 23, 1949, he married Edna Mae Justice, who preceded him in death on March 17, 1992.
Mr. Pruett retired from United Telephone Service (Sprint) in 1991 after 37 years of service. He was a life member and past president of the Van Wert Sertoma Club.
Survivors include four sons, Jack (Chris) Pruett of Convoy, Greg (Robin) Pruett of Ohio City, Bruce (Kaye) Pruett of Lima and David (Linda) Pruett of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Deb. (Dennis) Bolenbaugh of Glenmore; one sister, Ada Sparks of Dry Fork, Va.; 13 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Bobby Jo Pruett, and 14 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Convoy.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are Community Health Professionals (VNA) or American Diabetes. Association.
Marjorie L Thatcher
Died: Tuesday, December 24, 2002
Age: 85
Marjorie L. Thatcher, 85, of rural Van Wert died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 17, 1917, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Harley and Maude (Wade) Green. On Nov. 24, 1940, she married Gordon Estel Thatcher, who preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 1998.
Mrs. Thatcher was a homemaker and a member of First United Brethren Church, Van Wert.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Dolores Thatcher of Van Wert and one grandson, Ian Thatcher of Delphos.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Gordon Thatcher, who preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1993, two brothers, and three sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, the Rev. Barry McCune of First United Brethren Church officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert County Hospital.
Arrangements were handled by Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert.
BROCKPORT
Died: Monday, December 23, 2002
BROCKPORT, Pa. - Mary Eleanor Jacobs, 88, of Brockport, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at Jefferson Manor, Brookville, Pa.
She was born July 24, 1914, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Francis L. and Minnie (Matthys) Allen. She married Richard A. Jacobs, who preceded her in death.
Other survivors include:
Son - Richard A. Jacobs of Granville
Daughter - Ann Loftin of Phoenix, Ariz.
Brother - John Allen of Van Wert
Sister - Ruth Mustian of Delaware
Three grandchildren also survive.
Private family services will be held at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
DELPHOS - Dorothy L Deffenbaugh
Died: Monday, December 23, 2002
Age: 77
DELPHOS - Dorothy L. Deffenbaugh, 77, of Delphos died at 10:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at Vancrest of Delphos.
She was born June 20, 1925, in Delphos, the daughter of the late William and Agnes (Laudick) Deffenbaugh.
Miss Deffenbaugh did secretarial work in both Ohio and Michigan for the W.T. Grant Co. and for the F.W. Woolworth Co. and the Mary Ann Dress Shop in Delphos.
Survivors include:
Brothers - James (Mary) Deffenbaugh, Robert (Connie) Deffenbaugh and Thomas (Mary Ellen) Deffenbaugh, all of Delphos
Sister - Jane (Elmer) Beckman of Delphos
Sister-in-law - Eleanor Deffenbaugh of Marion
Brother-in-law - Eugene Shenk of Penn Yan, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Deffenbaugh and John Deffenbaugh, and two sisters, Mary Showalter and Helen Shenk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery.
