Paul E. Breece 10/02/2005
Paul E. Breece, age 60 of Delaware, Ohio died Sunday October 2, 2005 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born on June 13, 1945 to the late Clifton and Anna (Geckle) Breece.
Paul was a graduate of Ashley HS and was employed part time as a laborer by Sun Home Health Care until his health failed. He was a member of Cardington First United Methodist Church and was noted as the family historian.
A service was held at the First United Methodist Church in Cardington on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 with Pastor John Jackson officiating. His burial was in the Windfall Cemetery.
Gompf Funeral Service assisted the family with the arrangements.
Phillip Ealey 09/25/2005
Phillip Ealey, age 33, of County Road 165, Cardington, died early Sunday morning, September 25, 2005 at Morrow County Hospital. He was born March 31, 1972 in Crestline.
Phillip was a 1990 graduated of Cardington-Lincoln High School. He worked as a construction laborer.
Survivors include his father, Timothy Ealey, of Florida; mother, Varance (Moodispaugh) Ealey (Mike Willey) of Cardington; 2 sons, Phillip Mark Ealey, II of Cardington and Justin Mathew Williams of Mt Gilead; grandmother Almeda Ealey of Florida; siblings, Leigh Ealey (Jarrod Morgan) of Sunbury, Amie (Matt) Crum and Jessica Ealey all of Cardington, girlfriend, Nella Porteus of Cardington; nieces and nephews, Maci Morgan, Elizabeth, Dallas, Dakota and Isabelle Crum and Mason Trevino.
Preceding Phillip in death were his grandparents, Benjamin Ealey and Charles and Mary Moodispaugh.
Friends may call Thursday, September 29, 2005 from 5-8PM at Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington and from 10 to 11AM on Friday, September 30, 2005 where funeral services will be held at 11AM. Burial will be in Fulton Cemetery. A gathering will be held at the Cardington Community Center following the service.

Robin A Cooper 09/22/2005
Robin A Cooper, age 43, of Dallas, Texas died September 22, 2005. He was born February 3, 1962 in Mount Gilead to Robert P. and Bonnie L. (Hindman) Cooper who both survive in Cardington.
Robin was a 1980 graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School. He began college for two years at the Ohio State University and worked on the Raven Magazine. Robin was a graduate of the Northwood Business College. He worked as a mortgage broker and was very active in Republican Party politics.
In addition to his parents, Robin is survived by five siblings; Dominique Adkins of Cardington, Carmel Cooper of Georgia, Carleen and Terrill Miller of Waldo, Damiana Cooper of Cardington, and Carl and Mary Cooper of Cardington; eight nieces and nephews; grandmother, Ann Cooper of Cardington, aunts, Kathleen and Mary Cooper; and uncle, Doit and Judy Cooper.
Robin was preceded in death by his twin brothers, Paul and Peter Cooper and grandparents, Carl Cooper, Roy Hindman, Mabel (Teat) Hindman Cooney, and John Cooney.
A private family service was held on Monday, September 26, 2005 at the Church of the Sacred Hearts. Followed by burial in Glendale Cemetery.

Ruby Freeman 09/13/2005
Ruby Freeman, age 68, of Marion Williamsport Road, Caledonia, died early Tuesday, September 13, 2005, at her residence. She was born May 8, 1937 in Terry, Montana to Soren and Marie (Tesnes) Hanson.
Ruby was a 1955 graduate of Harding High School in Marion. She was a homemaker and loved woodworking, ceramics, bird watching, crocheting and reading.
On June 19, 1955, Ruby married Robert W. Freeman and he preceded her in death on February 24, 2003.
Ruby is survived by her children Diana L. (Alan) Beccard of Modesto, CA, Robert A. Freeman of Caledonia, David L. (Kathleen) Freeman of Cardington, Barbara A. (John) Bayles of Edison, Ray E. Freeman of Caledonia, Fred C. Freeman of Caledonia, Michelle R. (Paul) Gattshall of Marion and Michael J. Freeman of Caledonia, 12 grandchildren, Austin, Ashlea, Ali and Cody Beccard, Rebecca and Daniel Freeman, Melissa, Katelyn and Jessica Bayles, Dakota, Wyatt and Mackenzie Gattshall; 2 sisters, Mary Peterson of Kennewick, WA and Doris Warren of Mt Vernon, OH; 2 brothers, Stanley Hanson of Walla Walla, WA and Williard Hanson of Marion.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ruby was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Friends may call at Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington Friday, September 16, 2005 from 2:00 to 4:00PM and 6:00 to 8:00PM where funeral services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 11:00AM. Reverend Star Sanchez will officiate and burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.

Donna "June" Gompf 09/13/2005
Donna "June" Gompf, age 79, of Center Street, Cardington, died early Tuesday morning, September 13, 2005 at Morrow County Hospital. She was born June 15, 1926 in her parents' home near Edison, to the late Arthur M. and Kate (Loyer) Smith.
June was an active member of her church and community. She was a member of the Cardington First United Methodist Church and served on the Altar Guild. She was a member of the Jenkins-Vaughan American Legion Auxiliary Unit # 97, the Morrow County Society for Crippled Children and Adults, the Cardington Garden Club and worked on projects for the American Cancer Society. June graduated from Edison High School in 1944 where she worked as a secretary until 1948. She also worked as a secretary at the Cleveland Plain Dealer and at HPM in Mount Gilead. In 1981 she became co-owner and secretary-treasurer of Gompf Funeral Service in Cardington. June was a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother. Her favorite activity was to surprise her family with something home baked.
On June 6, 1948 at her parents' home near Edison, Donna June married Robert E. (Bob) Gompf who survives in Cardington.
Survivors also include a daughter, Barbara Gompf of Cardington; daughter and son-in-law, Julia and David Flickinger of Cortland, OH; a son and daughter-in-law, Gene and LeAnne Gompf of Mount Gilead, a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Betty Smith of Edison; and 8 grandchildren, Mindy (Daniel Vanes) Flickinger, Jennifer and Lisa Flickinger, Michalene (Ryan Oates) Gompf-Oates, Brittany (Aaron) Levering, Gregory, Leslie, and Geoffrey Gompf.
In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Friends may call at Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington on Saturday, September 17, 2005 from 2:00 to 4:00PM and 6:00 to 8:00PM. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, September 18, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church, 300 S. Marion Street, Cardington. Reverend John Jackson will officiate and burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery.

Mary L. Wright-Adams 09/12/2005
Mary L. Wright-Adams, age 79, formerly of Cardington, OH died early Monday morning, September 12, 2005 at Marion Manor Nursing Home. She was born June 9, 1926 in Hamilton, OH to the late William H. and Nannie (Richards) Freeman.
A Hamilton High School graduate in 1942, Mary had worked as a sales clerk and was retired from Elder-Beerman Department Stores. She was a member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Trenton, OH and taught Sunday School for 12 years. She has been carried on St. John Lutheran Church "friends list" for many years. Formerly Mary was active in the Jr. relief Corp and volunteered for 12 years with the Parent Teacher Association. For 3 years Mary had knotted and tied blankets for the "Linus Project" in Marion.
On February 14, 1987 At Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus, Mary married Clarence E. Adams and he survives in Marion.
Additional survivors include her son, Darrel L. Wright of Richwood, OH; a daughter, Deborah L. and Dick Noll of Cardington, 5 grandchildren, including Dan, whom she was especially close to, and 1 great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Meyers and a brother, William Freeman.
Friends may call at Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington Thursday, September 15, 2005 from 6:00PM to 7:00PM where the funeral service will be held at 7:00PM. Pastor Donald Pletcher will officiate. Graveside services will be in Butler County Memorial Park at 10:00AM Friday, September 16, 2005.
