Roberta A. Smith

Roberta A. Smith, age 56, of Adamsville, Ohio died at 12:07 p.m.Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at her residence.

She was born August 24, 1945 in Logan Ohio the daughter of the late Roy & Leota Hiles Browning. Mrs. Smith was a unit clerk on 3 east at Genesis Bethesda Hospital and a member of the Norval Park Church of Christ.

Surviving are her husband, Bob J. Smith, whom she married July 20, 1964 at Rockville, MD), two daughters; Kimberly A. Devoll of Coshoction, and Scarlett L. (Doug) Steele of Adamsville, one son; James E. (Mary) Smith of Nashport, seven grandchildren; Andrew & Amanda of Nashport, Emily and Douglas of Adamsville, Zachary, Charlie, and Ryan of Coshocton, one nephew, Shawn Graham of Zanesville,one brother in-law; Gary G. Graham of Zanesville, and many loving and caring friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Sue Graham.

Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 Friday July 12, 2002 at the Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 13, 2002 at the funeral home with Evangelist Dallas Lockhart officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.

Mary L. Mills

Mary L. Mills, 75, of Zanesville, Ohio died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2002 at Adams Lane Care Center, Zanesville.

She was born February 23, 1927 in Zanesville, Ohio a daughter of the late John W. & Mae Melvin Bowers. She retired as a packer for Kerr Glass in Plainfield, Ill. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary.

Surviving are one brother, William Bowers of California and one sister, Leona Harris of
Zanesville and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, her husband, John " Bill" Mills, one sister, Lucille Girton, and one brother Clarence Bowers.

No calling hours will be observed. A caring cremation has taken place and burial will be at Zanesville Memorial Park at a later date. Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville is entrusted with arrangements.

Erika Marie Kessinger

Erika Marie Kessinger, 29, of McConnelsville, Ohio died at 11;55 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2002 at Grant Hospital, Columbus, Ohio as a result of an automobile accident.

She was born November 12, 1972 in Wyandotte, Michigan, a daughter of Edward & Carin Wildfang Kessinger of McConnelsville.

Goldie B. Moore

Goldie B. Moore, age 86, of Zanesville, Ohio died at 7:12 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2002 at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital.

She was born October 15, 1915 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late John & Lillie Hyatt Keller.

Surviving six daughters; Goldie (Harley) Holbert of Hopewell, Patricia ( Cliff) Stroud of Dallas TX., Carol Moore, Annie (Cliff) Wickham, Janet (Chip) Collins, and Debbie (Gabriel) Weatherspoon, all of Zanesville, four sons; Bernie (Darlene) Moore of Salesville, John (Carole) Moore of Kimbolton, Robert (Peggy) Moore, and Richard Moore,both of Zanesville, one
brother; Earl (Betty) Keller of FL., twenty six grandchildren and thirty three great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bernard J. Moore, who died May 27, 1993, two sisters, four brothers, three granddaughters, and one great grandson.

Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2002 at Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2002 with the Rev. Roger McElfresh officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Violet Lucille Wilson

Violet L. Wilson, age 82, of Zanesville, died at 11:55 p.m., Sunday, October 6, 2002 surrounded by her family at the Muskingum Co. Home.

She was born April 25, 1920 at New Straitsville, Ohio a daughter of Newton P.and Bertha Gaston Auker. She retired from the Muskingum County Home as a nursing assistant and was a member of First Assembly of God.

Surviving are five daughters; Ruth ( Virgil) Seenes- of Zanesville, Thelma ( Richard) Miller of Jamestown, Pa., Janet ( Norman) Stephenson Sr. of Zanesville, Mary Jane ( Dan) Grandstaff of Zanesville, Carole ( Carl) Upchurch of Maypearl, Texas, three step-sons; Rick ( Veronica) Wilson, Steve Wilson, both of Zanesville and Eugene Wilson of Roseville. one step-daughter;
Mary Jo ( Dave) Brink of Zanesville, many grandchildren, great granchildren and great great grandchildren, a sister; Helen Cavinee of Crooksville and many friends at the County Home.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her husbands, Raymond Brown & Clyde Wilson, four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 2-4-6-8 p.m.Tuesday, October 8, 2002 at Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville and one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2002 at the First Assembly of God, 503 McIntire Avenue, Zanesville, with Rev. Jim Peters and Rev. Todd Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Mt.
Horeb Cemetery, Crooksville.

Victor J. Gaumer
Victor James Gaumer, age 79, of Zanesville, died at his residence on Sunday October 6, 2002.

He was born June 26, 1923 in Zanesville, the son of the late Guy W. andTorria M. Bugg Gaumer. Mr. Gaumer retired from Anchor Glass of Zanesville (formerly Zanesville Mould) in 1984, where he had been employed for 31 years. A mould maker by trade, he was a life member of the American Flint Glass Workers Union #121. A veteran of the U. S. Army,Co."H" 149
Infantry/38th Inf. Division (The Avengers of Batan). He served in the South Pacific from 1943-1945. He was also a 50 year member of Amity Lodge F & AM No 5, Muskingum Co. Assoc. Valley of Cambridge-Scottish Rite 32 degree, Order of Eastern Star Chapter # 485, life member of the VFW George Selsam Post 1058, and the American Legion Post 29.

Surviving is his wife, Alberta M. Morgan Gaumer, whom he married Feb. 26, 1955, a daughter Mrs. Ron (Cindy L.) Harrison, a son Mr. Greg (Judy) Gaumer,both of Zanesville, a stepson Jeffrey C. Draper of AZ., a grandson Matthew Gaumer of Zanesville, two step grandchildren, Corinna & Eric Draper of AZ., and one great grandchild, Leanna Marie Draper of AZ., three
sisters, Gladys L. Barnes of KY., Ruby L. Keller of Zanesville and Bernice L. Jenkins of Columbus, a niece Bertha Glosser of Zanesville, two nephews, Philip Barnes of KY., and Ted Jenkins of Columbus, and his loving pet Kassie Lou.
A very special thanks to his home-care nurse aides Nancy, Debbie, and Krystal for for the generous comfort understanding and support they provided. And a special to all all the doctors nurses and the Washington Volunteer Ambulance Squad for their care & consideration.

Friends may call 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.Tuesday October 8, 2002 at Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville Ohio. Eastern Star # 485 will hold services at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday and Masonic Lodge of Amity F & AM # 5 will hold services at 7:00 p.m., both at the Bolin Funeral Home.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday October 9, 2002 at Bolin Funeral
Home with the Rev. Webster Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park with VFW George Selsam Post 1058 conducting military services at the gravesite.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rambo Memorial Center.

Michael A. Dicks
Michael A. Dicks, age 42, of Zanesville, Ohio, died at 7:00 a.m. Saturday October 5, 2002 at his residence.

He was born January 6, 1960 in Zanesville, the son of John J. Dicks and the late Shirley Bailey Dicks. Mr. Dicks was a Marine Veteran.

Surviving his father John J. Dicks and his step mother Mary Ann Dicks of Zanesville, one son Matthew Dicks of Zanesville, a sister; Nathalie A. Ridenour of Somerset, four brothers; Robert J. Dicks, John J. Dicks III, John Kiser, and Lewis E.Walsh, all of Zanesville, and several nieces
and nephews.

Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother John D. Dicks in 1977.

Friends may call 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 7, 2002 at Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2002 with the Rev. Joy French officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville, Ohio.,

Raymond Mayle
Raymond L. Mayle, 69, of Newark, Ohio died at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2002 at Newark Health Care Center.

He was born June 14, 1933 at Chesterhill, Ohio a son of the late Clarence & Halie Smith Mayle. He retired as a stock clerk for the Roper Corporation. He was a member of the Church of God, Newark.

Surviving is his wife; Marcia Dalton Mayle of the home, two sons: Ricky Mayle of Florence, Kentucky & Kevin Mayle of Newark, Ohio, two daughters; Debra ( Roy) Price of Heath, Ohio & Linda ( William) Cobun of Newark, Ohio, four grandchildren, one brother; Emmet Mayle of Baltimore, Ohio, three sisters; Edna Fowler, Emma Louise Williams, and Velma Stevens all of
Zanesville, Ohio.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2002 at Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2002 with Pastor Roger Decker officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Norma Stimpert

Norma Lee Stimpert, 69, of Zanesville died at 8:15 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2002 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus.

She was born March 20, 1933, in Lewisville, Ohio a daughter of the late George & Pearl Fiber Billman. She was a member of the Zanesville Northside Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Vernon E. Stimpert of the home, Children, Vickie (Chris) Conrad of Glendale, AZ, Michael ( Leora) Stimpert of Conesville, Ohio, Daren Stimpert of Los Angeles, California, Tonya ( Chris) Gammello of Winchester, Kentucky, grandchildren, Heather Conrad of Phoenix, AZ, Teresa Jansen of Tucson, AZ, Jason, Joshua, Sarah and Cody Stimpert of Columbus, Ohio, Hannah Gammello and yet to be born granddaughter Lexi Gammello of Winchester, Ky. Stepgrandsons, Jeremy Bradford and Joshua and Jordan Burris of Conesville, OH; brother, Denzel Billman of Zanesville, OH. and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by two sisters, Ruby Sloan & Zelda Stimpert, one brother, George ( Jr.) Billman.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio and from 10:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. at the church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2002 at the Zanesville Northside Church of the Nazarene, 739 Francis St, Zanesville with Dr. Richard L. Jordon officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Friendship Cemetery, Lewisville, Ohio.
