Billie Joe Perry
Billie Joe Perry, age 73, of Zanesville, Ohio, died at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2002, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House.

He was born January 19, 1929 at McLuney, Ohio the son of the late Oscar and Lillian Milligan Perry. Mr. Perry was a retired foreman at the Essex Wire Corp. on Ceramic Ave., Zanesville where he worked for 40 years. He was a Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley A. Gribben Perry of the home, one daughter; Lynn K. (Jeff) Willey of Chandlersville, three sons; Billie J. (Cathy) Perry of South Zanesville, Doug M.Perry of Zanesville, and Andrew J. (Opal) Perry of White Cottage, eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Letha B. Eveland, and Ruth Ann Hiles, by one brother Tom Perry, and a special pet Scooter.

Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Friday August 9, 2002 at the Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave. Zanesville, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Tim Patton officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold military services at the gravesite.

John A. Rollins

John A. Rollins, age 63, of Zanesville, Ohio, died at 9:35 PM Saturday, December 7, 2002 at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born April 25, 1939, in Bridgeville, Ohio, to Sopha  Taylor Rollins and the late Norval C. Rollins. Mr. Rollins was a former film maker for the Eastman Kodak Co. at Rochester N.Y. He was an Army veteran, a member of the American Post 29, lifetime member of the DAV, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles # 302.

Surviving his mother, Sopha  Taylor Rollins of Zanesville, four sons, Rodney D.(Mary) Rollins of East Liberty Oh., Rick D.(Tami) Rollins of Zanesville, Russell D. Rollins of Marysville Oh. and Roger D.(Melissa) Rollins of Huntsville, Oh., an Ex-wife, Wanda J Rollins of East Liberty, OH, one sister, Frances (Delbert)Brock of Zanesville, one brother, Tom (Kay) Rollins of Zanesville, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter and a great grandson.

Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at the Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave. Zanesville. Eagles services will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday December 11, 2002 at the Bolin Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow at St Paul Cemetery near Sonora with V. F. W. George Selsam Post 1058 holding military services at gravesite.

Joseph ( Joe) Hartman

Joseph ( Joe) Hartman, age 76, 0f Zanesville, Ohio, died at 5:18 AM Wednesday December 4, 2002 at the Genesis Bethesda Hospital. He was born October 14, 1926, in Duncan Falls Ohio, the son of the late Joseph & Marybelle Favorite Hartman. Mr. Hartman was a retired building contractor,an Army Veteran World War II (82nd Airbourne Div.), member of the American Legion at Duncan Falls, Life member of the NRA, and a member of the Amateur Trap Shooting Association.

Surviving is his wife, Elizabeth (Betty)  Jones Hartman whom he married April 10, 1955,of the home, three daughters, Beth (Larry) Bean of Delaware Oh, Paula Hartman & husband Mark Wieder of Kinnelon N. J.,and Julie Hartman of Zanesville; one son Brady Joe (Connie) Hartman of Sunbury, Oh.;two sisters, Margaret Fitz of Philo, and Betty (Robert) Gardner of Bristow VA.;
five grandchildren, Duncan Joseph, Sydney Annette and Brady Ryan Hartman, all of Sunbury, Joshua David Wieder of Kinnelon N. J. and Andrew Blake Hartman of Zanesville.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Richard, Donald and Paul Dean Hartman.

Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday December 5, 2002 at Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville whereservices will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday December 6, 2002 with Rev. Reginald Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold military services at the gravesite.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America or to the Genesis Health Care Foundation.

Betty Jane Beall Hooper

Betty Jane Beall Hooper, 84 of Zanesville died at 5:15 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2002 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born April 28, 1918 in Roseville a daughter of the late Herbert D. & Verda Sagle Beall. She retired as a Decorator for Mosaic Tile Company and was a methodist by faith.

Surviving is a son, Charles M. Hooper of Zanesville, daughter, Dixie Somerville Rousculp of Newark; granddaughter, Jodi Rousculp and grandson Jeffrey Rousculp both of Columbus.

She was preceded in death besides her parents, her husband, Robert C. Hooper; three brothers, Rolland, Jack & Russell Beall; two sisters, Helen Walker and Ruth Phillips; 1/2 brother Paul Tague Jr.

Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2002 at Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville with Rev. Joy French officiating.

Evelyn B. Myers
Evelyn B. Myers, age 87, of Newcomerstown, Ohio, former Zanesville resident for many years, died at 8:06 am Saturday, November 30, 2002, at the Coshocton Memorial Hospital. She was born May 14, 1915, in Barnesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles H. & Frances L. King Mellott.

Mrs. Myers was a member of the Euclid Ave United Methodist Church in Zanesville.

Surviving are one son, Gary L.(Eloise) Myers of St. Petersburg FL, three grandchildren, Michael E. (Marla) Myers of West Lafayette,Debbie R. (Mark) Pickett and Teresa Speakman, both of Lancaster, Ohio, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest L. Myers (3/8/1989) and two brothers.

Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 Tuesday, December 3, 2002, at the Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave. Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Clarence M. Dinnen officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.

John M. Reed
John M. ( Freed) Reed Jr. age 20, of Zanesville, Ohio, died November 29, 1998.He was born July 19, 1978 in Zanesville, Ohio. John played baseball at Y-City and was a member of the FFA. He was a former employee of Sanese Services,the Longaberger Co.and the Lumilite Candle Co.

Surviving are a daughter, Haley Lynn Brown Hicks of Zanesville, his Mother and stepfather, Sara Jane (Donald) Robinson of Zanesville, his father John M. Reed Sr. of Roseville, a sister Shannon Krouskoupf of Zanesville, one niece, Katlyn Anderson and one nephew, Dylan Tahyi, both of Zanesville, a grandfather Lawrence Reed of Roseville, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents,Harry Sr. & Delores June Krouskoupf and his paternal grandmother Margaret Reed.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday November 30, 2002 at the Church in the Wildwoods at 2960 Ridge Rd. with Minister Tony Maple officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Bolin Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.

Coleen G. Snyder Hoodlet

Coleen G. Snyder Hoodlet, 79 of Chillicothe, formerly of Zanesville died at 11:12 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2002, at Westmoreland Place, Chillicothe. She was born in Roseville, November 30, 1922, a daughter of the late Harry D. & Ida E. Cartwright Moody. She retired from General Electric and was a member of Northside Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving are one son, Rev. Robert S. ( Judith) Snyder of Chillicothe; two sisters, Lahoma Hauke of Zanesville and Sandra Haymond of Pensacola, Fl.; two brothers, Harry D. Moody Jr. of Zanesville, Marvin L. Moody of Fultonham; two grandchildren, Rob Snyder and Tammy Olsen both of Chillicothe; two great grandchildren, Victoria Olsen & Jeffery Olsen

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her first husband, Robert Henry Snyder, who was killed in the service in 1944, her second husband, Raymond E. Hoodlet, in 1986, three sisters, Virginia Dillinger, Bernadine Dollings and Shirley Tignor; one brother, Delbert Z. Moody.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at the Northside Church of the Nazarene, 739 Francis Street, Zanesville, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 29, 2002, with Rev. Richard Jordan officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville.

Aneada Clorinda Spoerl

Aneada Clorinda Spoerl, age 91, 0f 1856 Adams Lane, Zanesville, died at 12:50 AM Tuesday, November 26, 2002, at the Adams Lane Care Center. She was born January 5, 1911 in Brownsville PA. the daughter of the late Frank and Goldie Fisk Morrelli. Mrs. Spoerl was a supervisor at the former Essex Wire Corp.

Surviving are a daughter, Beatrice Smigel of New Philadelphia, Ohio, three grandchildren, Mary Roe of Canal Winchester Ohio, Clorinda Brace of New Philadelphia, and Marsha Graham of Boise, ID. Also Six great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Spoerl (June 13, 1963), one brother Raymond Morrelli and two sisters, Leona and Lela.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday November 29, 2002, at the Zanesville Memorial Park with Pastor John  Johnson officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 AM till 10:30 AM Friday at the Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave. Zanesville.

Donald L. Ore
Donald L. Ore, 68 of Zanesville died at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, November 24, 2002 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital emergency room. He was born September 1, 1934 a son of the late Benjamin Ore & Wilma Sanders Plum. He was a self-employed Drywaller, was a U.S. Marine & Army veteran of Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW George Selsam Post 1058, American
Legion, D.A.V. & Eagles.

Surviving is his wife, Karen Clapper of Zanesville; three sons, Donald Lee Ore Jr. of Zanesville, Dennis Scott ( Rose) Ore of Roseville, Larry Edward ( Teri) Clapper of Zanesvile; daughter, Trenda ( John ) Barker of Dresden, step-son, Derrick ( Judy) Clapper of Zanesville; three step- daughters, Stephanie ( Randy) Tyo of Beallsville, Stacey Nutter of Virginia, and Kristina (
Tyrone) Tigner of Zanesville; twenty grandchildren; four brothers, Willard Ore of Columbus, Glenn Ore & George Ore both of Zanesville, Raymond Ore of Florida; two sisters, Beatrice  Jones & Hazel Plum both of Zanesville.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, his former wife, Carol M. Harper Ore and one brother, Harold Ore.

No calling hours will be observed.Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at Greenwood Cemetery. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold military rites at the grave.

Monetary contributions may be made in Memory of Donald Ore to Bolin Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.

Shirley L. Franks

Shirley L. Franks, 63, of Zanesville died at 8:52 a.m. Thursday, November 21, 2002 at Genesis Bethesda Hospital emergency room. She was born May 26, 1939 at Somerville, Mass. a daughter of the late Charles F. & Louise Ivester Bullens. She had worked for United Technology and as a Home Health Care Giver. She was a Methodist by faith.

Surviving is her husband, Daniel L. Franks of the home, whom she married October 4, 1958, son, Daniel Steven Franks & Fiancee Nancy Lehman of Roseville; daughter, Tammie Franks Coss & Husband Jeff Coss of Zanesville, five grandchildren, Heather, Chris, Paige, Steven & Dustin; brother, Edward ( Sally) Bullens of Coshocton; sister, Carole Crites of Naples, Fl. several nieces & nephews and special friends.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by a grandson:Corie Spring.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. till service time Monday, November 25, 2002 at Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. John Earhart officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
