Audrey Kellis, teacher
Retired educator Audrey Listach Kellis, 64, of Avondale, died Sunday.
The Louisiana native taught at several Cincinnati Public Schools, including Hoffman, Fairview, Clifton and South Avondale, as well as Corryville Catholic School. She retired in 1989 after teaching 32 years.
The Grambling State University graduate also studied at the University of Cincinnati and Xavier University, where she earned a master's degree.
Mrs. Kellis was a member of Zion Baptist Church, Avondale.
She leaves daughters Ro zlynne Renee Kellis of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, and Charlotte Kellis of Cincinnati; son, Edward Listach Kellis of Cincinnati; sisters: Cora Fitch Kendall and Gracie G. Rucker, both of Cincinnati, Learmia L. Conerly of New Orleans and Gloria L. Henderson of Baton Rouge, La.; brothers, Nora Listach Jr. of Natchitoches, La., and John Lewis Listach Sr. of Cincinnati; and two grandchildren.
Services: noon Thursday at Zion Baptist Church, Avondale. Visitation: 11 a.m. Thursday at Renfro Funeral Service, Avondale.

Ann Schuler, arts volunteer
Ann Isabel Eaton Schuler, 86, was known for her good works and particularly her contributions to Cincinnati's fine arts.
The longtime Delhi Township resident died Saturday.
She was founding chairwoman of the Performing Arts Series Committee of the College of Mount St. Joseph. She also chaired the Western Hills Women's Committee of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and was Western Hills co-chair of Cincinnati's United Fine Arts Fund drive.
Flowers were Mrs. Schuler's passion. Red and yellow roses, daisies and other blooms filled her yard.
Mrs. Schuler was a member of Our Lady of Victory and St. Simon churches.
She leaves a son, William T. Schuler of Green Township; daughters, Sue Ann Painter of Fairview and Karen Lybrook of Portsmouth, R.I.; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband, John F. Schuler, and a daughter, Miriam Hume Meyer Nord, preceded her in death.

Herbert A. Meinerding, exec
Herbert A. Meinerding, founder and chairman of the Meinerding Distribution Co., died Thursday. He was 80.
Mr. Meinerding founded his business in the late 1940s.
"He was the consummate professional salesman," said his son, John Meinerding. "First and foremost was treating his customers fairly. He was a man of impeccable integrity, a devoted husband, and a loving father."
A veteran of World War II, he served extensively in the China-Burma-India theater.
Other survivors include his wife, Antoinette Meinerding; daughters, Clare Otto and Paula Flynn; a brother, Robert Meinerding; a sister, Sister Mary Virgila, S.B.; and nine grandchildren.
