Rhea E. Augustine, teacher and pianist
Pianist Rhea E. Endter Augustine, 91, of Los Angeles, formerly of Hyde Park, died Dec. 28.
Mrs. Augustine was a 1928 graduate of the College of Music, now the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She taught piano at Wittenburg University before her marriage to Lee Augustine, who went on to become a prominent Cincinnati businessman.
For years, she was a member of the two-piano team of Augustine and Whitmire, which performed in concert with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Her affiliations included Matinee Musicale, Sigma Alpha Iota, the Women's Music Club and the Cincinnati Women's Club.
Mrs. Augustine leaves a daughter, Mary Lee Fleischer of Los Angeles; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
