Robert V. 'Mac' McCrery

MARION -- Robert V. "Mac" McCrery, 73, Marion, passed away at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at Fairhaven Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky.

Born Aug. 13, 1930, in Marion, he was the son of the late Vernon and Ethel Kline McCrery.

On Aug. 27, 1948, in Marion, he married Nancy Ell McCrery; she survives in Marion.

He was retired from maintenance with Union Tank Car Co. with 10 years of service and also with Erie Railroad for 28 years.

He is also survived by two sons, Dana J. (Janet) McCrery, Marion, R. Scott (Laura) McCrery, Marion; one brother, Charm (Dorothy) McCrery, Marion; a sister, Mrs. Jim (Artie) Green, Findlay; four grandchildren, Matt McCrery, Brett (Summer) McCrery, Matt Holland, Mrs. Dan (Megan) Hord; a great-granddaughter, Caden Hord; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill McCrery.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens with the Rev. Victoria Powers-Smith officiating. Friends may call 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, at Boyd Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County and the Ronald McDonald House.

Barbara E. Belt

DELAWARE -- Barbara E. Belt, 88, of Delaware, died unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, following a brief illness at Arbors of Delaware.

She was born Jan. 14, 1915, in Sandyville, W.Va., to Nakoda and Myrtle Thompson Morrison.

She was a lifetime Delaware County resident. She enjoyed gardening, canning, baking and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ralph Belt; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Robert Sellers of Radnor; a son and daughter-in-law, Barney and Ethel of Sunbury; five grandchildren, Michelle Belt, Beth and her husband, David Weber; Chris and his wife, Tammy Sellers, Bart Sellers and his fiancé, Wendy Milhon, and Kurt Sellers and his companion, Kelly Kubay; eight great-grandchildren, Caleb, Calley and Colton Weber, Michael Chapman-Sellers, Andrew Baer, Ashleigh and Zachary Sellers, and Logan Kubay; and one sister and brother-in-law, Vera and Avery  Jones of Radnor.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5 at Bennett Brown Rodman Funeral Home in Delaware, 92 N. Sandusky St., where funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in Radnor Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Doris F. Blanton

MOUNT GILEAD -- Doris F. Blanton, 76, of Co. Rd. 109, Mount Gilead, Ohio, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, in Morrow County Hospital.

She was born in Knox County, Kentucky on Sept. 30, 1927, the daughter of the late Andy and Ollie Young Marion. She moved here from Kentucky in 1943. She worked at the Leaf Restaurant before retiring. She enjoyed doing ceramics, painting, needlework and gardening.

She is survived by a son, Troy Lee Blanton of Sparta, Ohio; a daughter, Carolyn F. Sherman of Mount Gilead, Ohio; three grandchildren, Deena F. (Arun) Malhotra, Tim A. (Belisa) Sherman, and Melinda S. Bernard; four great-grandchildren, Allen R., Audrey F., Tye A., and Sly J.; and nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Odell Blanton, whom she married Sept. 10, 1943, preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1976. A daughter, Vonda Lynn Blanton; four brothers, Alonzo, Clayton, James, and Bobby Marion; and sisters, Gladys Williams, Juanita Garland and Helen Callebs also preceded her in death.

Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Marengo. Pastor Don Linn will conduct graveside services 11 a.m. Monday in Bloomfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Morrow County.

Linda Mae Holloway

MARION -- Linda Mae Holloway, age 43, of 457 Olney Ave., Marion, died at 4:20 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at her mother's home in Green Camp, Ohio.

She was born Sept. 29, 1960, in Marion, to Bert and Beverly (Ganson) Elam; her mother survives in Green Camp.

On May 13, 1982, in Marion, she married Stewart J. Holloway; he survives in Marion.

She was a 1978 graduate of Elgin High School, a homemaker, and a Marion resident for 43 years.

She is survived by one son, Dustin J. Holloway at home; one daughter, Sierra Mae Holloway at home; one stepdaughter, Angela Holloway of Reynoldsburg, one grandchild; one brother, Bart Elam of Green Camp; and one sister, Lucy (Jeff) Durant of Ashley.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, at Green Camp Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth McDonald officiating. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Monday at Boyd Funeral Home.

Donna Mae (Smith) Collins

LARUE -- Donna Mae (Smith) Collins, age 60, of 291 S. High St., LaRue, Ohio, died 8:51 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born May 30, 1943, in Oakdale, Ohio.

Her father, Charles Smith is deceased and her mother, Nellie (Ball) Smith survives in Glouster, Ohio.

She is survived by two sons, Lane Franklin Malone Jr., and Jonathon Bo Collins both of Marion; three daughters, Debra Marie (Ronald) Gates of Marion, Lisa Faye Tanner of Florida, and Amy Renee Benson of Kentucky; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Barbara Wyatt of Crooksville, Ohio, Judy Pugh and Alice Smith both of Glouster, Ohio, and Annamarie Simpkins of Millfield, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Richard Smith.

Mrs. Collins worked for R.M.S. Management as a case manager that provided assisted living services to many different clients. Her work was truly her life. Her clients became part of her family. As a result of her love of her work, she did many things that were very much above and beyond the call of duty. She was an avid antique collector, loved flowers, gardening and her family and especially her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2003, at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue, Ohio. Minister will be the Rev. C.L. Fuqua. Burial in Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home.

Those who wish may make contributions to the MARCA School and Industries in Marion.

Linda Lou Clark

FINDLAY -- Linda Lou Clark, age 54, 2101 Greendale Blvd., Findlay, Ohio, passed away 6:42 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, in Blanchard Valley Hospital. She had been in failing health for a number of years.

Linda was born in Marion on Oct. 3, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Ralph "Short" and Deloris Berry Price of Galion.

On April 14, 1981, she married Abraham Clark Jr. and he preceded her in death in 2001. Linda lived most of her life around Marion County and moved to Findlay in 1991.

Besides her mother, Linda is survived by her daughter, Tammy Teeters and her granddaughter Nachia McClease of Findlay. She leaves behind two brothers, Ed and Carl Price of Galion.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, in the Timson Allen and Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia with Pastor Tom Orr officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday where the family will receive them from 6 -8 p.m. in the evening. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
