Ralph O., beloved husband of the late Ruth Jentz, survived by many friends. Monday, June 11, 2001, age 78. Mr. Jentz had a 20-year career in the military, serving in both WW II and Korea as a Regular Army Medic. Friends are invited to attend the graveside service Saturday, 10 A.M. (meet inside gate at 9:50 A.M.) at Oak Hill Cemetery, 11200 Princeton Pike, Springdale, OH 45246, (just south of the Tri-County Mall). Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati, 4310 Cooper Rd., Blue Ash, OH 45242. Hodapp Funeral Home, Carthage (513-821-0805), handling arrangements.

BYRNES
Kathryn Grace ""Katie", age 5, on Tuesday, April 24, 2001. Loving daughter of Jayne (Stoffregen) and John J. Byrnes, sister of Jack Byrnes, granddaughter of Evelyn H. Stoffregen of Maumee, OH and Jeanne L. and John H. Byrnes of Bradenton, Fl, niece of John C. Stoffregen, Maureen (Byrnes) Hallagan, Thomas R. Byrnes and Richard P. Byrnes. Though only five, Katie leaves behind many, many friends in both the deaf and hearing communities, as well as her friends at Lakota Early Childhood Center, Children's Hospital and St. John the Evangelist Church. She touched deeply the lives of most whom she met. Katie was featured in several newspaper articles in The Washington Post, Cincinnati Enquirer and Cincinnati Post, which chronicled her determination to overcome physical hurdles with enthusiasm and glee, and as a deaf child learn American Sign Language despite the limitations of her hearing parents. She was featured prominently in a video made to illustrate Lakota Schools' successful support of diversity, when LECC won the educational category of the Cincinnati Inclusion Network Award for 2000. Friends will be welcomed Sunday, April 29 from 2:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 9080 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd., West Chester with the Mass of Christian Burial following immediately thereafter. Her funeral will proceed from St. John's Church to Spring Grove Cemetery at 10 A.M. on Monday, April 30. In lieu of flowers, the Byrnes family requests memorials in Katie's name be directed to the Deaf Institute, 3515 Warsaw Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45205. Hodapp Funeral Home, West Chester serving the family.

DAUGHERTY
Dorothy E. Beloved wife of the late Andrew Daugherty. Dear mother of Andrew E. (Ilene) Daugherty Jr., Charles R. (Sue) Daugherty and the late Mary Louise Cluxton. Loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Monday April 9, 2001. Residence Harrison, OH, Age 90. Friends may call in the John C. Winkler, loving grandfather of Daniel L. and Erica M. Winkler, Brian D. and J. Brent Calkins and Nathan W. and Amanda W. Pulley, great grandfather of Justin Geyer and Sarah N. Winkler, dear brother of Province M. Winkler, Violet W. Steffans and June Hartman. Monday, April 30, 2001, resident of Cincinnati formerly of Sarasota, FL, age 90 years. Jennifer, passed September 14, age 34. Survived by loving parents Grace Wilson and King Wilson, a brother Nolan Gibbs, three nieces, one nephew, great niece and nephew. Nine Aunts, seven Uncles, cousins and many dear friends. Nancy L. (nee Hillman), beloved wife of the late Joseph W. Undercoffler, devoted mother of Gretchen (Greg) Sewell and Suzy (Terry) Greer, loving grandmother of Lindsey, Andy, Chelsey and Brett, dear sister of Betsy Birko of Pittsburgh, PA, also survived by an aunt Nellie Harper and several nieces and nephews. Hazel (nee Gose), 82, of Morrow, died Monday, April 30, 2001. Visitation Thursday, May 3, 2001 from 6-8 P.M. with funeral services Friday, May 4, 2001 all at the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home, Morrow.

WHALEY
Thomas Harry. Age 51, born on December 2, 1951 at U.S. Army Hospital, Camp Gordon, Augusta, GA. Beloved son of Ruby L. (Martin Whaley) Bond and Thomas Gaines Whaley. Stepson of Eileen Whaley. Brother to Kim of Barstow, CA, Karen, James and Paul (Tonya) of Batavia, OH, and Mark (Michele) of Florence, KY. Stepbrother to Thomas, Darlene, Peggy and Pam Bond. Uncle of James II (Amy), Andrew, Lauren, Paul and Sarah. Great Uncle to Austin, Jordan and Nathan. Thomas passed away (drowned) on Sunday, September 28, 2003. Preceded in death by his mother. Andrew Todd, 73, a retired electrician, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001 at his home in Lakeland, FL. Mr. Wallis came to Lakeland in 1998 from Cincinnati, OH. He is survived by his wife Aileen of Lakeland, FL, Andrew Wallis (son) of Oxford, OH, Cherry B. Miller (daughter) of Peraland, TX, Jenny L. Heizman (daughter) of Cincinnati, OH, Carolyn A. Marine (daughter) of Cincinnati, OH, John Wallis (brother) of Lakeland, FL, Florrie Peters (sister) of Ft. Myers, FL and Annalee Farrill (sister) of Conyers, GA. He was preceded in death by his first wife Callie (Griffith) Wallis. He was born November 23, 1927 in College Park, Georgia the son of John and Madeline (Coleman) Wallis, Sr. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ALS Assoc., 1810 MacKenzie Dr., Suite 120, Columbus, OH 43220 or to a charity of your choice. Memorial services will be held Sunday, May 6, 2001 at 1 P.M. at The Presbyterian Church at 23 S. Front St., Hamilton, OH.
