CHRYSLER Barbara Chrysler, age 72, of Xenia, passed away Friday, March 30, 2001. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Neva Chapman, as well as 2 brothers Ward and Lowell Chapman and a sister Ila Chapman. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dick; 2 daughters, Betty Hosta and Susan Chrysler, both of Xenia; 3 sons, Jack and wife, Janice Chrysler of Columbus, William and Rick Chrysler, both of Xenia; 7 grandchildren, Corey, Ryan, Brandon, Jordan and Kelly Chrysler, Tara and Cody Hosta; brother, Neil Chapman and wife, Patti of Columbus; sister-in-law, Anna Bahnsen of Palmeto, Fla. Barbara was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She and Dick operated Kil Kare Dragway for 27 years, she lived and loved auto racing and the people who worked and raced there. They were recently awarded the NASCAR Regional Promoters of the Year for 2000 and were honored for their racing promotions work from RPM (Racing Promotions Monthly). A funeral service will be held at 12noon on Wednesday April 4, 2001 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. Rev. Chuck Thomas officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2001 and also from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery in Xenia, Oh. immediately following the service on Wednesday.

CLARKE Judy Clarke, age 48, Saturday at home. Preceded in death by mother-in-law Edith Clarke. Survived by loving and devoted husband, Robert L. CLEVENGER Eva Marie Clevenger, age 69, April 1, 2001 at Doctors North. Preceded in death by husband William M. Clevenger. Survived by children, William (Cathy) Clevenger Jr., Bonnie (Frank) Sparkman, Wallace Clevenger and Joy Kay (Joe) Taylor; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Inez (Fred) Tiller; many nieces and nephews; several beloved in-laws. Retired from Doctors Hospital North with 26 years of service. DICK Juanita M. Dick, age 86, died Sunday April 1, 2001. Preceded in death by husband Wendall Dick, sister Eva Shull and brothers Edwin and Albert Harris. Survived by son, William (Sandra) Dick; grandchildren, Larry (Pam) Dickson, Jim (Jody) Dickson, and Todd (Michel) Trepasso; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Harry Harris of Johnstown and Earl Harris of Calif.; sisters, Norma Coccia of Westerville, Grace Hall of Buckeye Lake, Ruth Sailor of Gahanna and Betty (Dale) Rowe of Ariz.; several nieces and nephews. DODGE Lorraine Gillman Dodge, of Grove City, passed away Monday, April 2, 2001 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Member of Grove City United Methodist Church. Lorraine came to Columbus in 1941 where she met her husband, Benjamin T. Dodge. June of 2001 would have marked 55 years of marriage. She is survived by husband, Ben; daughters, Brenda (Tim) Smith and Connie (Mike) Parrett; grandchildren, Jennie (Clay) Smith McCord, Mindy (Chris) Smith Sowers, Brandy Smith Grove, Christopher (friend Kellye Haines) and Angela Parrett; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and  Jackson McCord and Bailey Shane Smith Grove; sisters, Merle, Bessie, Easter, Reba, Nell, Gaye, Jean and Callie; brothers, Earl, Roger, and Stanley; sister-in-law, Delphine Darnell. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus St., Grove City. Funeral will be Thursday 10 a.m. at the Grove City United Methodist Church, 2684 Columbus St. Dr. Carl Wiley officiating. Interment Concord Cemetery. During Lorraine's illness she received and enjoyed many flowers sent by family and friends, and so at this time, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Grove City United Methodist Church or Mt. Carmel Hospice, 793 W. State St., Columbus, OH 43222-9988.

DRESSLER Ernest Nathaniel Dressler, age 90, died April 1, 2001 at Doctor's Hospital West after a long illness. He was retired from Kentucky Central Insurance Company. Member Westgate United Methodist Church, volunteer with Meals on Wheels of the Ohio Food Pantry for 30 years, member of Hinton, West Virginia Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of Columbus, Aladdin Temple Columbus. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by loving wife of 67 years, Sally Maye; son, Gary (Nancy) Dressler of Naples, Fla.; grandson, Charles; granddaughter, Tina (Mike) Hayes; great-grandson, J. Ryan Hayes; great-great-granddaughter, Tiffany Janea; sisters, Barbara (Dick) Withrow, Kathleen Loftus and Daisy Fink; numerous friends and relatives. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 2693 W. Broad St., Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where service will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Rev. Robert Iddings officiating.

DUGAN Janice Prior Dugan, age 61, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2001, joining her recently deceased husband of nearly 40 years Charles F. Dugan II and her father Henry C. Prior. She is survived by their loving daughters, Heather (Rich) Hartzell, Stephanie (Lee) Marxen, Suzanne (Richard) Van Schaik and Kathleen (Greg) Hadder and will be dearly missed by her 9 loving grandchildren: Zachary, Hannah, and Matthew Hartzell; Brittany and Charles Marxen; Michael, Christian and Baby Van Schaik; and Noelle Hadder. She also leaves behind her mother, Wanda Prior; sister, Monda Sue Prior; brother, Greg Prior; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Mary Dugan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Steve and Dodie Dugan; niece, Laura Meehan and nephew, Spencer Laemmle. All who knew her were struck by her profound faith in God, most recently evidenced by her continued love and trust in Him during her husband's battle with cancer. Her chosen calling, after a short teaching career, was raising her four daughters and developing a strong family. Her greatest delights were sharing her faith, serving others, and enjoying her many grandchildren. Her keen artistic sense was expressed in her watercolors, flower arranging, and decorating. She also enjoyed travel, monthly gatherings with her Partners in Gourmet (P.I.G.), numerous Bible studies and AGLOW. Janice graduated from Van Wert High School in 1957, the same year she served as Queen Jubilee XIII in the Van Wert Peony Festival. She met her husband, Chuck, at Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) where she obtained her teaching degree in 1961. She was a member of the Vineyard Church of Columbus, 6000 Cooper Rd., Westerville, where a Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2001. Pastor Dennis Stranges and Pastor John Taranto officiating. Family will receive friends Wednesday 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 W. Powell Rd. (Olentangy St.), Powell, Ohio (614-792-1471) and also on Thursday 10 a.m. until service time at church. Burial Oller Cemetery.

FINK Robert "Bobby" Lee Fink, 64, of Pickerington, Oh., passed away March 31, 2001 following a battle with pancreatic cancer. Bob retired from the Columbus Fire Department in 1991 after 31 years service. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, playing cards and time spent with family and friends. He was an avid Street-Rodder who spent many hours restoring and showing cars. He was a member of the MOB, MHA and Z Rod Car Clubs. Bob will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by parents, Bob and Elsie Fink; wife, Ruth; brother, Jerry (Alice) Fink; daughters, Debbie Susil, Diana (Gary) Cossin and Robin (Bruce) Dudley; stepson, Bill (Kim) Ives; grandchildren, Angie (Mike) Platt, Matt, Kelly, Steven, Jason, Sarah, Rachel and Shawn. Funeral Service 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where friends may call from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Warren Reichert, of Resurrection Evangelical Church of Hilliard, presiding. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High St. Donations may be made in his memory to the Columbus Cancer Clinic.

FORSTER Helen A. Forster, 86, died March 30, 2001. Retired supervisor public employee retirement State of Ohio. 51 year member Moose Lodge #11, Robert Morris chapter #372 O.E.S. Thea Court #5 Losna, West High Alumni Association, Heart of Ohio Tolle Painters. Preceded in death by parents Fred and Hazel Snyder, husband William, sister Marjorie A., brother Pierce F. and niece Karen Snyder. Survived by brother, Robert Owen; nieces, Sharon Bernert and Linda Witchey; nephews, Fred Snyder and Robert R. Snyder; many great-nieces and nephews. No visitation. Memorial Service April 29, 1 p.m. at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 2693 West Broad Street. Rev. Roy Fisher officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

GILES Elizabeth A. "Betty" Giles, age 83, of Centerburg, Oh., Sunday, April 1, 2001 at Knox County Hospital. Member of St. John Neuman Church, Sunbury. Preceded in death by husband Elmer K. Survived by daughter, Judy (Eddie) Dick of Centerburg, Oh.; grandchildren, Steve Dick, Hugh Dick, Matt (Staci) Dick, Tim Dick, Gina Oswalt and Eric Clarke; great-grandchildren, Steve Waggoner, Josh Clarke, Justin and Jeremy Dick, Cheyene Dick, Clare, Heidi and Hunter Clarke, Alaina, Ashley and Alan Oswalt; sister, Helen (Willard) Koebel; nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at St. John Neuman Church, 9633 E. State Route 37, Sunbury, with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Interment Eastview Cemetery.

KEISER Edward William Keiser, Jr., died of cancer at St. Rita Home (Hospice Care), on March 31, 2001. Edward was a retired long haul truck driver and lifelong resident of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sue Cook Keiser. Survivors include sister, Ramona Keiser Harper of Metairie, La.; brother-in-law, Robert Harper; Edward's cousin, Dolores Streng Telerski extended loving kindness during his late illness. Edward is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Edward's family wishes to express sincere gratitude to his beautiful neighbors, John, Pat Gramelt and family and Mary Webster. Funeral service will take place at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St. on Thursday April 5, 2001 at 11:30 a.m. Fr. Mark Hammond officiating. KELLY Ruth Loretta Kelly, age 91, Monday, April 1, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born December 16, 1909. Retired from Riverside Methodist Hospital. Member Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by husband Herbert L. Kelly; brother-in-law Robert Kelly; sisters Freda Totsch and Ethel Leindecker; brothers Harrison Leindecker and Arthur Leindecker. Survived by son, Bruce (Cyndy) Kelly; sister, Dorothy Alexander; nieces, Rita Alexander and Connie Huffman; nephew, Bill (Mary) Totsch; numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends. KITCHEN Opal Kitchen, of Columbus, died Sunday, April 1, 2001 at Riverside Hospital. Preceded in death by her husband Clarence Kitchen. Opal is survived by her children, Herbert (Johanna) Kitchen of Powell, Ronald (Wanita) Kitchen, Janice (Darrell) Toler and Dottie (Roy) Toler, all of Columbus; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. KLEMM Robert A. Klemm, age 95, of Westerville, Sunday, April 1, 2001 at Manor Care Westerville. Member of the Home Plate Club. Preceded in death by wife Ethel G., many brothers and sisters. Survived by loving children, Karolyn (Terry) Yoakum of Westerville, Oh., Alan Klemm of Glandorf, Oh.; grandchildren, Mike, Julie, Amy, Jill, Steve, Brian, Eric, Chris, Kevin, Bridget, Kerry and Jamie; many great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. LAYMAN Ruth I. Layman (Poulson), age 75, of Westerville, passed away Sunday April 1, 2001. Retired from Public Employees Retirement Systems and Westerville Schools. Active member of Church of the Messiah United Methodist. Survived by husband of 50 years, Harrold Layman; son, Geoffrey (Roseann) Layman; grandson, Michael Layman, all of Westerville; many cousins and many friends.
