GEIST Norman S. Geist, age 80, of Worthington, died Monday, April 2, 2001 Friendship Village of Columbus. A native of Des Moines, Iowa and a graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School in Des Moines. Preceded in death by parents Arthur Lee and Lola Jane Miller Geist. Received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering in 1942 and his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1947 both from Iowa State University. A 50 year member of the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society, and a member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers, The Metallurgical Society of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers and was awarded a plaque in recognition of more than thirty years of continuous service to the Society and the field of metallurgy. 50 year member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and retired plant superintendent with ASARCO after 38 years service. Member of the board of trustees of St. Stephens Community House. Veteran U.S. Army WW II 84th Infantry Division. Awarded two purple hearts after being wounded at the Battle of the Bulge. A Bronze Star recipient for heroic service in connection with military operations against the enemy in Germany, February 23,1945. Charter member of St. Andrew Christian Church, Disciples of Christ and a former member of Karl Rd. Christian Church in Columbus. Survived by Marjorie, his loving wife of 47 years; son, Steven (Marcia) Geist of Lawrenceville, Ga.; daughters, Diane (Tom) Lewis of Gahanna, and Barbara (Matt) Hawkins of Centerburg, Oh.; brother, Robert (Eunice) Geist of Chatham, Mass.; grandchildren, Michael Geist, Stephanie Marchese, Ben and Sammy Lewis, Hannah and Emma Hawkins; nephew, William (Nancy) Geist of Alpharetta, Ga. HAINES Owen R. Haines, II, age 54, of Pataskala, passed away on Tuesday April 3, 2001. Beloved husband, father, brother and friend. Thirty one year employee of AT&T Long Lines/ Lucent Technologies. Veteran, U.S. Army, Vietnam. Preceded in death by his father Owen R. Haines, Sr., in 1986. Survived by his wife, Harriet Haines; sons, Owen R. Haines, III and Zachary H. Haines; mother, Lorna Haines; sisters, Andrea Sapon and Amalia Haines; relatives and dear friends. Funeral Service 1 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2001 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. HARDY Eva M. Hardy, age 72, of Columbus, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Survived by her daughters, Judy, Patricia, Cora and Diane; sons, William, Larry and Jack; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Dollie Holley. Friends may call at the RUTHERFORD-SHROYER FUNERAL HOME, 1278 West Broad St., Columbus, on Thursday from 10 a.m.-12noon. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2001 at Eastlawn Cemetery.

HOLBERT Edward Lee Holbert, age 58, passed away Monday, April 2, 2001 at Wright Patterson Medical Center, Dayton, Oh. after a long illness. Retired from U.S. Army and veteran of Vietnam Conflict. Preceded in death by parents William and Gertie Holbert of Zanesville. Survived by wife, Phyllis; sons, Wesley Holbert of Columbus and Brandon Holbert of Wright State University, Dayton, Oh.; brother, Harold (Henrietta) Holbert; sisters, Rachel (Lee) Russell and Thelma (James) Williams; numerous nieces and nephews; host of friends. Friends may call at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St., Thursday from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:30 p.m. Rev. Terry Newman officating. HUGHES Richard Lyle Hughes III, 43, of Columbus, died Monday, April 2, 2001 at his home. He was self employed as an Antique Dealer with Appleseed Antiques. He was a graduate of Loudenville High School in 1976. He is preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by wife, Carolyn; son, Richard L. Hughes IV; parents, Richard, Jr., and Lois Hughes; brother, Stephen (Robin) Hughes; sisters, Sharon Mills, Cynthia (Ron) Smith, Deborah (Jack) Wheeler; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received Thursday, April 5, 2001 from 5-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, where service will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2001. Rev. David Trout officiating. INTRIERI Donna Willeford Intrieri, age 50, of Grove City, passed away Monday April 2, 2001 in O.S.U. Hospital after a long illness. She was born August 5, 1950 in Lima, Oh. Donna was employed with Sears for over 30 years, was a member of the First Baptist Church of West  Jefferson and a graduate of West  Jefferson High School. Survivors include husband, Robert Intrieri, whom she married February 11, 1985; daughter, Tammi (Dan) Iannarino of Columbus; son, Eric (Katherine) Weber of Galloway; step-son, Kevin (Jennifer) Intrieri of Dublin; parents, Charles and Helen Willeford of West  Jefferson; 3 sisters, Carolyn (Larry) Conley of Weatherford, Tex., Sandra (Gene) Adams of Orlando, Fla. and Brenda (John) Jester of West  Jefferson; 2 brothers, Charles (Susie) Willeford of Florissant, Mo. and Kevin Willeford of Nashville, Tenn.; 4 grandchildren, Naomi, Nicholas and Jared Iannarino and Darlene Weber; 11 nieces and nephews; 10 great-nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service 1 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church of West  Jefferson with Rev. Glade May officiating. Burial will follow in Hampton Cemetery. Family and friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the RADER-McDONALD FUNERAL HOME, West  Jefferson and in the church 12noon-1 p.m. on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation.

 Jones Aletha (Alice) May Jones, daughter of Arthur and Celia (Taes) Haycook, was born June 29, 1910 in Newark, Oh. and died at 10:25 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2001 in Madison County Hospital, London, at age 90. She resided during her early adulthood near Grove City where she was an extremely active member of the Salem Heights Methodist Church. She spent her later years near her youngest son outside of London, Oh. Alice was preceded in death by her husband Edward A.  Jones on July 25, 1984 and by her brother Neil Haycook, both of Columbus. She is survived by her sons, Harold (Nyla)  Jones of Columbus and David (Penni)  Jones of London; her brother, Dean Haycook of Tucson, Ariz. Alice is survived by her grandchildren, Peggy Thomas, Guy Thomas, Jay Jones, Jodi Jones, Bethany (Mike) Fout, Russell Jones; step-grandchild, Jeremy Speakman. Alice also has several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 4, 2001 from 6-8 p.m. at the EBERLE FUNERAL HOME, 103 N. Main St., London, Oh., where service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Ervin Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.

 Jones Mr. Jamie Lee Jones, 55, Thursday, March 29, 2001, Doctors North Hospital. Survived by father, Johnny  Jones of Columbus; brothers, Willie (Bonnie Lou)  Jones of Columbus and Sammie Lee  Jones of Washington, D.C.; nephew, Jamar S.  Jones of St. Louis, MO; host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Service Thursday, 11:30 a.m., Chapel of WAYNE T. LEE FUNERAL SERVICE, 1370 E. Main Street. Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until time of Service. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.

KAISER Wayne Alan Kaiser, age 37, passed away suddenly April 2, 2001 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. A resident of Covenant House. Preceded in death by father Raymond Kaiser, sister Lori Barker. Survived by mother, Norma Kaiser of Columbus; sister, Cheryl (Brad) Ulrey of Tallahassee, Fla. Friends may call at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 2990 Bethel Rd., Thursday 6-8 p.m., where service will be held Friday 10 a.m. Interment to follow at the Jerome Cemetery.

KEISER Edward William Keiser, Jr., died of cancer at St. Rita Home (Hospice Care), on March 31, 2001. Edward was a retired long haul truck driver and lifelong resident of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sue Cook Keiser. Survivors include sister, Ramona Keiser Harper of Metairie, La.; brother-in-law, Robert Harper; Edward's cousin, Dolores Streng Telerski extended loving kindness during his late illness. Edward is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Edward's family wishes to express sincere gratitude to his beautiful neighbors, John, Pat Gramelt and family and Mary Webster. Funeral service will take place at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St. on Thursday April 5, 2001 at 11:30 a.m. Fr. Mark Hammond officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery.

KELLY Ruth Loretta Kelly, age 91, Monday, April 1, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born December 16, 1909. Retired from Riverside Methodist Hospital. Member Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by husband Herbert L. Kelly; brother-in-law Robert Kelly; sisters Freda Totsch and Ethel Leindecker; brothers Harrison Leindecker and Arthur Leindecker. Survived by son, Bruce (Cyndy) Kelly; sister, Dorothy Alexander; nieces, Rita Alexander and Connie Huffman; nephew, Bill (Mary) Totsch; numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends. Arrangements completed at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 2693 W. Broad St. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday. Inurnment Sunset Cemetery. KENNEDY Helen L. Kennedy, age 59, April 2, 2001 at OSU Medical Center. Preceded in death by husband Frank Kennedy, mother Marie Conley and brother Frederick Allen Conley. Survived by sons, Danny and Robert Hega; brothers, Fred Conley, Bill Conley and Harry Conley; sisters, Barbara Rader, Gladys Elmore, Janice Everhart, Vicky Purdin and Vivian Stone; step-daughers, step-son and numerous step-grandchildren. Family suggests contributions to the American Diabetes. Foundation. KEYS Harry J. Keys, M.D., of Hilliard, formerly a longtime resident of Upper Arlington, died Monday, April 2, 2001 at Kobacker House. He was a private practice obstetrician/gynecologist physician for 50 years retiring in 1990. He is survived by his wife, Betsy (Cushman) Moore Keys; daughter, Karen Denney; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Melissa Keys; granddaughters, Samantha Denney and Megan Keys; great-grandchildren, Breanna and Breizon Denney, all of Columbus; step-sons, John (Teresa) Moore, Dublin and Mark (Robyn) Moore, Hilliard; step-daughter, Jackie (Chuck) Dana, Columbus; 10 step-grandchildren; nephews and niece, Alan (Pam) Clifford, Columbus, Marcia Randolph, Westerville, Harry Keys Clifford, Lafayette, Calif., Joseph M. Clifford, Columbus; compassionate friend, Whisper. He was the son of the late Harry J. and Ruth (Vogan) Keys and also preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Connie Wellington Keys, 1985, sister Mary E. Clifford and step-daughter Jill Higginbotham. Graduate of The Ohio State University, 1941, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta. Dr. Keys served his internship at Kings County Hospital and his residency at St. Johns Hospital in New York. He was a veteran of WW II serving as a major in the U.S. Army stationed in England and France. Dr. Keys is a Fellow; American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists; the American College of Surgeons and the Academy of Medicine of Franklin County and on staff at White Cross, Riverside, University and St. Ann's Hospitals. He was Professor Emeritus at The Ohio State University and a member of Ohio State Medical Association, Columbus OB/GYN Society and Alpha Omega Alpha. He was a 60 year member of Humboldt Lodge #476 F&AM; Scottish Rite and Aladdin Temple Shrine, Valley of Columbus. Dr. Keys was a charter member of Republican National Party and an active supporter of Crittenton House. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2001 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 125 East Broad St. The Rev. Mary  Johnson officiating. Private interment Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions be made to further Alzheimer's research c/o Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio, 3380 Tremont Rd., Columbus, Oh. 43221 in his memory. The family will receive friends at a reception at Scioto Country Club at 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd.

KIRCHER Marian E. Kircher, of Columbus, died on March 27, 2001 at home. She was born in 1922 on Christmas Day in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of George H. and Lucille (nee Benethum) Petersen. She was the widow of Richard D. Kircher and Cortlandt Barry. Survivors are sisters, Janet Dew, of Medina and Ruth Bay, of Columbus; daughters, Deborah Meyerhoff and Deidre Jo Spurgeon; grandchildren, Samantha Spurgeon, Cortney Meyerhoff and Matthew Meyerhoff; nieces and nephew, Sarah Jane Dew, Michael Bay and Margaret Bay; and great nephew, Nels Wightman Schimek; as well as many relatives and friends. She retired from the Hospitality Management Department at Columbus State Community College and was a member of the Gourmet Society, IFSEA and the Bridge Bunch. A memorial service will be held at North Congregational United Church of Christ, 2040 Henderson Road, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2001. The family will receive friends after the service in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Those who wish may make a contribution in Marian's memory to Hospice at Riverside/Grant or to the North Congregational Church Foundation. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road.
