MOELLER Iris Irene (Troyer) Moeller, 96, died peacefully on April 1, 2001, at her home in Kensington Place in Columbus. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Rev. Paul Moeller of Columbus; daughters and sons-in-law Joan (Richard) Deyoe of Olympia, Wa.; Mary (Michael) Benis of Columbus; sons and daughters-in-law Phil (Marcia) Moeller of Denver, Co.; Bob (Wanda) Moeller of Sharon, Ct.; grandchildren John Deyoe of Olympia, Wa.; Keith (Louise) Deyoe of North Bend, Wa.; Doug Moeller of Berkeley, Ca.; Jason Benis of Columbus; Alison Benis of Chicago, Il.; Adam, Nathan, and Brittany Moeller of Denver, Co.; and great-granddaughter Erin Deyoe of Vancouver, Wa. Iris was a graduate of Ohio State University, a former teacher, long-time student of nature, faithful servant of God, and a blessing to all who knew her. Private burial will be in Continental, Oh., followed by memorial services on Friday, April 6, at 1:30 p.m. at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 23019 Kellogg Rd., Grand Rapids, Oh., and on Saturday, April 7, at 10:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 211 N. Merkle, Columbus. The family will receive friends after the services. In lieu of flowers those who wish may contribute in her name to either Hosanna or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or to a charity of their choice.

NICKENS Gregory Stephon Nickens, age 42, April 3, 2001 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Former employee of Kroger on Eakin Road. Preceded in death by children Aaron Thomas, Arronana Ruth Nickens and grandfather Willis C. Nickens Sr. Survived by children, Latisha and Antwan Miller, Courtney and Brandy Nickens, Raymond and Gregory Jr., Nickens and Sabrina James; father, Willis C. Nickens Jr.; mother, Carolyn Kinney; four grandchildren; grandmother, Amaryllis Nickens; brother, Rev. Franklin Howard (Andrea) Nickens; sisters, Kim Smith, Lashanda (Robert) Peacock and Jodi Clemons; companion, Marsha Brazzleton; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. PILLOW William C. "Buck" Pillow, age 76, of Westerville, Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at Grant Hospital. Lifetime member of VFW (Stelzer Road). Veteran of WW II. Preceded in death by parents William and Hattie, several brothers and sisters. Survived by sister, Georgia G. Pillow Ferko of Columbus; brothers, Willis Pillow of Ravenna, Oh., Melvin Pillow of Racine, Oh. and Ralph Pillow of Westerville, Oh.; many nieces and nephews. PLUNKETT Leonard Lewis Plunkett, age 71, of Columbus, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2001. Retired from Gulf Oil. Member of Ascension Lutheran Church. Survived by wife of 51 years, Jo Plunkett; sons, Steve (Rosemary) Plunkett of Seattle, Wash. and Jeff (Vicki) Plunkett of Toledo, Oh.; grandchildren, Michele, Steven, Christa and Justin; great-grandchild, Scott; brother, Gil Plunkett of Dallas, Tex. Preceded in death by parents Ruth and Paul Plunkett, brothers Harold and Cliff Plunkett, sister Violet Burns. A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1479 Morse Road, Columbus. A private family interment will be held in Toledo Sunday. REED Robert C. Reed, age 63, of Sunbury, Oh., April 4, 2001. Employed by the Village of Sunbury where he was former two-term Mayor and Village Council member. Survived by wife, Martha; daughters, Renee Dobson of Delaware and Michelle Johnston of Columbus; grandchildren, Adam Polt of the residence, Nickolas Johnston and Alle Reed; sisters, Mary Nelson and Linda Balis; brothers, Robert Reed, Douglas Catron, Richard Reed and Douglas Catron; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by mother Frances Catron, brothers Leroy and William Reed and Donald Nolan. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Ann's Hospital. RODGERS Roger Ray Rodgers, age 53, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at his residence. U.S. Navy Veteran. Charter member of the Good Shepherd Community Church, Ralph R. Rickly Masonic Lodge #670 and Scottish Rite. Roger formerly coached little league football and baseball for Cedarwood Cardinals and Sills Ball Park. Preceded in death by parents Raymond and Mary Rodgers, son Ryan and nephew Michael. Survived by his faithful wife, Judy; son, Ritchie; granddaughters, Mahala and Shalom Rodgers; brother, Michael (Sally) Rodgers; sister, Donna (Bill) Tompkins; nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St., from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday. SCARBERRY Fred Scarberry, age 67, of Columbus, April 4 at Grant Medical Center. Retired from General Motors after 36 years. U.S. Army veteran. Preceded in death by father Robert, mother Elizabeth, brothers Robert Jr., Edgar and Ernie, sister Mary Lou, brothers-in-law Crafton Exline and Paul McKinniss. SHILING Ira Dean Shilling, 53, of Columbus, Ohio went home to be with herr Lord on Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at 7:59 p.m. in her residence. She was born June 14, 1947 in Soperton, Ga., the daughter of Robert Lee and Clara Mae (McDougald) Thompkins. She was an avid bowler. She is survived by her parents, Robert Lee and Clara Thompkins; her husband of 26 years, Kenneth E. Shilling; two daughters, Mitizi Cain (Herbert Cornett) and Kendra Shilling, both of Columbus; one son, Shane (LaTricia) Thompkins of Columbus; 5 sisters, Maurine Brinson of Columbus, Cynthya Kull of Delaware, Cora McClendon of Columbus, Ramona King of Dublin, Ga. and Renna Moton of Soperton, Ga.; one brother, Ronald (Debbie) Thompkins of Columbus, Oh.; 2 grandchildren, Britney Suel and Ja'Quan Thompkins, both of Columbus; mother-in-law, Alteha Shilling of Columbus; sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Charles) Wolf, Denise Shilling (William Wilson), all of Columbus; brothers-in-law, Floyd (Gwen) Shilling, Dennis (Barbara) Shilling, Gary Shilling, all of Columbus, and Terry (Precy) Shilling of Trenton, Ohio; and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by husband Joseph Tortorello, Longtime and active member of St. Timothy Parish. 25 years of nursing at Mt. Carmel West. Devoted mother and wife. Survived by daughters, Anne Tortorello (Kirk Wall), Donna Tortorello, Lynn Tortorello, all of Columbus; sons, Paul (Rebeccah) Tortorello, St. Louis, Joseph (Lindsey) Tortorello, Chicago and Timothy Tortorello, Columbus; grandchildren, Michael J., Jacqueline, Donald, Colleen, Mathew, Joseph and Michael P.; 3 sisters; 2 brothers; and many nieces and nephews. WACENSKE Kaitlyn Elizabeth Wacenske, infant daughter of Kurt and Kelly (Poziviak) Wacenske, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She is survived by parents; grandparents, Michael and Judy Poziviak of Columbus, Richard W. Wacenske of N.Y., Sharon Wacenske of Ga.; great-grandmothers, Elizabeth Poziviak of Pa., Radah Wacenske of N.Y.; great grandfather, Ralph Buys of N.Y.; uncles, Tim (Tracy) Poziviak of Galloway, Jeff Poziviak of Ky., Karl (Stephanie) Wacenske of Ala.; aunts, Karen (Martin) Truckok of Pa. and Kay (Judd) Schweitzer of Ga.; and many other loving family members. WEBER Gary P. Weber, 50, of Dublin, died unexpectedly on April 2, 2001. Husband of 25 years to Laurie; father to Gary R. and Steven George. Vice President of CIT Group. Member of the Emmaus Group, a committee member of the Worthington United Methodist Church Boy Scout Troop 365 and a member of the Scioto Touchdown Club.
