Survived by husband, Robert Hoy; children, Philip C. Shively, Steven D. (Joyce) Shively and Susan Mary (Michael) Windle; brothers, Henry DeMaria and James DeMaria; sister, Norma (Tony) Stratman; grandchildren, Alex and Jeff Shively, Luke Windle; step-daughters, Mary (Jim) Curran, Patricia (Tom) Young, Jean (Steve) Davis; step-sons, Daniel (Joan) Hoy and Tim Hoy; 16 step-grandchildren. IUS Julius L. Ius, age 69, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Monday, March 26, 2001. He had been a resident of the area since 1985, coming here from Germany. Mr. Ius was born in Northern Italy and came to America when he was seven years old. He was a graduate of Ohio State University and an avid golfer. Mr. Ius was a Civil Engineer for the Dept. of Defense for the U.S. Air Force for 15 years in Germany. He then was assigned to Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla. in 1985, where he worked for the Engineering Dept. until his retirement. Mr. Ius is survived by his wife, Barbara C. Ius of Panama City, Fla.; son, Randall C. Ius and his wife, Pat of Claremont, Fla; a daughter, Julie A. Orr and her husband, Brian of Palm Desert, Calif.; a son, Michael J. Ius and his wife, Claudia of Austin, Tex.; a step-daughter, Catherine J. Cassin and her husband, Christopher of Hinsdale, Ill.; a brother, Joseph. M. Ius and his wife, Carol of Columbus Oh. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Angela Ius of Columbus, Oh. A Memorial Mass was held 10 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2001 at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Panama City, Fla. Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at Resurrection Cemetery in Columbus, Oh. with Msgr. Michael Ellifritz officiating.  Jones (MARCUM) Virginia L. "Ginny" Jones, age 78, died Friday, April 6, 2001 at OSU Hospital East. Preceded in death by husband Orville "Red" Jones, many brothers and sisters. Survived by sons, Jerry Lee (Arlene)  Jones of Strongsville, Oh., Dale Q. (Francine)  Jones of Columbus; daughter, Shirley J. (Zane) Bever of Columbus; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Everett Marcum and Harry Marcum; sister, Rachel Brewer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (on U.S. Route 62, * mile northeast of Hamilton Rd.), Gahanna, where funeral service will be held 12noon Monday, April 9, 2001 with Harry Marcum officiating. Interment to follow at Mifflin Township Cemetery, Gahanna.

KEHLMEIER Daniel E. Kehlmeier, age 55, Wednesday at his residence. Attended East Baptist Church. Past member East Gate Lodge #603 F&AM. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Debi and Raymond Straight of Whitehall; son and daughter-in-law, David and Tina Kehlmeier of Canal Winchester; 1 granddaughter and 1 grandson; grandmother, Emma Kehlmeier of Florida; uncle, Melvin Moor of Gahanna. Preceded in death by parents Carl and Ruth Kehlmeier, sister Carolyn Peltz, aunt Marjorie Moor. Friends may call Sunday 2-5 p.m., EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E. KING Daniel R. King, age 65, passed away Friday, April 6, 2001. Preceded in death by parents Waller and Esther King, brothers Tom, Bill, Jack, Mike, Freeman and Jim, sisters Mary Catherine and Barbara Ann. Survived by wife, Maggie; sons, Jack D. (Diane) King, David King and Randy, Richard Holobaugh, all of Columbus; daughter, Christy Daniels; grandchildren, David and Danny King, Mason Holobaugh, Ashley, Bobby and Chelsea; sisters, Alice Sirbaugh, Donna McGuire, Linda McClish; brother, Richard (Catherine) King of S.C.; mother-in-law, Beatrice Whitmer; in-laws, Bob (Pat) Nance, Dave (Nancy) Passicka; many nieces and nephews. KLEIBER Laura Margaret Kleiber, 96, of Marysville, died Thursday, April 5, 2001 at The Gables of Green Pastures in Marysville. A homemaker, she was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She is survived by a son, Ralph (Grayce Ann) Kleiber, Raymond; 3 daughters, Elsie (Earl) Schlotterback, Garrett, Ind., Bernette (Loren) Nicol and Dorothy (Ray) McCarty, both of Marysville; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-granddaughter; 3 step-great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law, Bertha Kleiber, Katherine Blumenschein and Frances (Jim) Anderson, all of Marysville; brother-in-law, Alfred (Gertrude) Blumenschein, Marysville; and many nieces and nephews. Service will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Marysville. Rev. Thomas Hackett will officiate and burial will take place at the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-9 p.m. on Monday at the MANNASMITH-HALE FUNERAL HOME, Marysville. LEECH Sunrise 8/24/54 - Sunset 3/27/01 Mary Channie Leech, age 46, of Atlanta, Georgia and formerly of Columbus, Oh., passed on March 27th. "Channie" was a talented, gifted, and giving person. A member of Hillside Chapel and Trust she was a devoted Christian, and a devoted mother. She is survived by her mother, Mamie Leech; her daughter, Mosi T. Leech; sisters and brothers, Regina West, Clara (Rev. Joe) Foster; George Leech Jr., John (Barbara) Leech; sisters in spirit, Patricia Brantley and Penny Whitaker; brother in spirit, Abdullah Rabani; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. She was preceded in death by her father, George Leech Sr.

LONG Hazel Marie Long, died April 25, 2001 at the Whetstone Care Center in Columbus, OH. Hazel was the daughter of the late Rev. Samuel C. and Ethel Nickley Long. Rev. Long served as minister of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Waldo, Oh. for 38 years. Hazel graduated from Waldo High School. She graduated from Kent State University and received her Masters degree from The Ohio State University. She was a teacher of the Educable Mentally Retarded in Ohio Schools. Preceded in death by brother Colonel Paul Howard Long Colorado Springs, CO. Survived by sister, Ruth; brother, Ted; sister-in-law, Jean; many nieces and nephews. A private Memorial Service will be held. Pastor John Kindsvatter Jr. of North Community Lutheran Church officiating. MILLER Rev. Bert Miller, age 88, of Columbus, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 5, 2001. Ordained a Minister in 1935 and instrumental in starting many Freewill Baptist Churches. In 1968 he founded and pastored Lockbourne Freewill Baptist Church in Lockbourne, Oh. In 1992 Rev. Miller oversaw the building of the new church on Rohr Rd. where he continued to pastor until his death. Past President for 16 years of TWU Local #208. Retired from COTA after 35 years. Preceded in death by brothers Cecil Miller and Gilbert Miller, sister Flossie Mead, grandson Anthony Miller and son-in-law James Wray Thornhill. Survived by beloved wife of 68 years, Ethel; children, Jean Thornhill, James B. (Marilyn) Miller and Roy (Anita) Miller; grandsons, Jerry (Diane) Thornhill, Jeff (KC) Miller and Nick (April) Miller; granddaughter, Patty (Mike) Hook; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Stella McKinster and Lola Adkins, both of Ky. PATTERSON Kenneth E. Patterson, age 49, Thursday, April 5, 2001 at Mt. Carmel East. Senior System Engineer with Chemical Abstracts Service for 29 years. Avid donor of blood platelets for cancer patients. Enjoyed golfing and woodworking. Preceded in death by parents William and Margaret Patterson. Survived by wife of 29 years, Nina; son, Aric; sisters, Anna Moody and Nancy (Don) Dotson; brother, William C. (Betty) Patterson; half sisters, Margaret Ivy, Marie (Bob) Walker and Lillian McDaniel; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, 2693 W. Post #4044, F.O.P.A., Teamsters Retirees Club. Volunteer Lifecare. Retired from Suburban Motor Freight. Associated with Midwestern Auto Group. Survived by wife of 54 years, Mabel; sons, Terry (Jeanne) of Sterling, Va., Jerry of Columbus, Oh.; grandchildren, Andrea of N.Y.C. and Gregory (Melissa) of Columbus, Oh.; and great-granddaughter, Alexis.
