Louise was a 55 year member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, was secretary/treasurer of the Grove City Parkinson Support Group and enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls. Preceded in death by her former husband, Ralph. Louise is survived by her loving husband, Charles Cook; sons, Randy Lee (Marta) and Richard A. (Partricia) Hill; 6 grandchildren; brothers, William (Peggy) and Lee Born and sister, Alma (Walter) Stidham, Alice (John) Stile, Carrie Belle Baker and Dorothy May (Victor) Wiesner. Calling hours 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where the funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2001.  Jones (MARCUM) Virginia L. "Ginny" Jones, age 78, died Friday, April 6, 2001 at OSU Hospital East. Preceded in death by husband Orville "Red" Jones, many brothers and sisters. Survived by sons, Jerry Lee (Arlene)  Jones of Strongsville, Oh., Dale Q. (Francine)  Jones of Columbus; daughter, Shirley J. (Zane) Bever of Columbus; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Everett Marcum and Harry Marcum; sister, Rachel Brewer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. LEONARD Rueben Y. Leonard, age 68, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 6, 2001 at Kobacker House. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Viola Leonard, Greensboro, NC.; wife, Elizabeth Lynn Leonard, Columbus, 1999 and brother, Keith Leonard, West Palm Beach, FL. He is survived by his sons, Nelson (Victoria) Leonard, New York, NY., Christopher Leonard and Ms. Dana Mueller, St. Pete Beach, FL.; daughter, Elizabeth (Scott) Sweet, Westerville, OH; grandchildren, Andrew and Hannah Sweet; sisters, Kay Gallant and Judith Kiser, Greensboro, NC. He was a retired executive vice president of business accounts for Nationwide Insurance Companies following over 32 years. He was a graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was editor of the Tarnation Magazine and a member of Sigma Epsilon Fraternity. Rueben will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and his generosity and will be missed by many friends and family. LONG Hazel Marie Long, died April 5, 2001 at the Whetstone Care Center in Columbus, OH. Hazel was the daughter of the late Rev. Samuel C. and Ethel Nickley Long. Rev. Long served as minister of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Waldo, Oh. for 38 years. Hazel graduated from Waldo High School. She graduated from Kent State University and received her Masters degree from The Ohio State University. She was a teacher of the Educable Mentally Retarded in Ohio Schools. Preceded in death by brother Colonel Paul Howard Long Colorado Springs, CO. Survived by sister, Ruth; brother, Ted; sister-in-law, Jean; many nieces and nephews. A private Memorial Service will be held. Pastor John Kindsvatter Jr. of North Community Lutheran Church officiating. LOWE Bruce W. Lowe, 71, of Worthington, died Friday, April 6, 2001 at his residence. Retired from Oakwood Homes and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Preceded in death by his parents Jay S. and Cora (Pollitt) Lowe and brothers Wayne and Jay Lowe. He is survived by his wife, June; children, Karen S. Hartmann of Westerville, Mary Ellen (Daryl) Weininger of Worthington, Bruce W. (Christina) Lowe of Woodland Hills, Ca., Keith A. (Amanda) Lowe of Davis, Ca. and Cynthia M. (David) Tucker of Powell; grandchildren, Erin, Stewart, Jonathan, Emily, Adrienne, Taylor, James, Cory, Hannah and Haley; sister, Mary Stull; brothers, Howard and James Lowe; nieces and nephews. Funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High Street, Worthington. Burial will follow in Kingwood Memorial Park. MANLEY John A. Manley, age 79, passed away Friday, April 6, 2001. Retired from Schuler Leukart Company and was an independent painting contractor. Preceded in death by parents Albert B. and Dorothy D. Manley; wives, Catherine Mae and Fronia Virginia Manley. Survived by daughters, Donna Manley Schnieder, Cathy (Paul) Smith and son, Jack Edward Manley; step-children, Paul George and Ralph White, Martha (Kenney) Keller; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Betty Graul, Rose Caldwell, James (Patricia), Jerry Manley of Columbus, and Donald (Karol) Manley of Md.; special friend, Ada Flatt of Okla.; and many friends, nieces and nephews. MARINE Julia-Mason Lang Marine, passed away April 4, 2001, Delaware, Ohio. Mrs. Marine was born in Rockport, Indiana to Dr. and Mrs. Shirley Charles (Maud Mason) Lang June 26, 1908. She is survived by one of her two sons, Kent Lang Welborn of Delaware, Ohio; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a husband Joseph Emerson Welborn, M.D. of Evansville, Indiana; her son Joseph Keith Welborn, M.D. of Toleda, Ohio and a sister Shirley Lang (Mrs. Merrill) Snethen of Evansville, Indiana. Mrs. Marine's husband, Roy Milton Marine, died in November, 1997. She graduated from Monticello College and the University of Evansville, Indiana and earned a M.S. in Education from Indiana University. Retired as assistant Dean Emeritus of the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, The Ohio State University. Member of First Congregational Church and was president of its Women's Guild in 1977-1978; Phi Lambda Theta; Ohio State University's Faculty Women's Club and its president 1956-1957, O.S.U. Retirees Association and its vice president 1983-1984. Received the Ohio State University Distinguished Service Award at the August Commencement 1975. Visitation will be on Monday at the BENNETT BROWN RODMAN FUNERAL HOME in Delaware from 6-8 p.m. Graveside funeral service will be held in Union Cemetery at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. MILLER Rev. Bert Miller, age 88, of Columbus, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 5, 2001. Ordained a Minister in 1935 and instrumental in starting many Freewill Baptist Churches. In 1968 he founded and pastored Lockbourne Freewill Baptist Church in Lockbourne, Oh. In 1992 Rev. Miller oversaw the building of the new church on Rohr Rd. where he continued to pastor until his death. Past President for 16 years of TWU Local #208. Retired from COTA after 35 years. Preceded in death by brothers Cecil Miller and Gilbert Miller, sister Flossie Mead, grandson Anthony Miller and son-in-law James Wray Thornhill. Survived by beloved wife of 68 years, Ethel; children, Jean Thornhill, James B. (Marilyn) Miller and Roy (Anita) Miller; grandsons, Jerry (Diane) Thornhill, Jeff (KC) Miller and Nick (April) Miller; granddaughter, Patty (Mike) Hook; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Stella McKinster and Lola Adkins, both of Ky. MOORER Daisy Mae Moorer, age 69, was called home to be with the Lord Thursday, Arpil 5, 2001 at O.S.U. Hospital. Member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she served on the Guilding Light Guild and Hospitality Committee. Member of Walnut Creek Civic Association and Volunteer and member of YMCA-Seniors. Retired Habilitation Specialist from State of Ohio. Predeceased by parents Clarence and Daisy Pittman; son Jeffery Moorer; daughter Ozella Pittman; brothers Herman Sr., Sonny, and Clarence Pittman; niece/sisters Doris Countryman and Maxie Ree Mansfield. MacDONALD Alex E. MacDonald, age 93, Friday, April 6, 2001 at Franklin  Woods Nursing Home. Served U.S. Army from 1927-1933, honorably discharged as a Sgt. Major from Office of Chief of Infantry. Graduated from Catholic University of America College of Law, Washington, D.C., in 1938. Worked at the general accounting office in Washington from 1936-1947. Chief budget and fiscal officer for the State Department in Seoul, Korea from 1947-1950. Assistant Chief of Accounting at the U.S. Army Depot from 1951-1953. Member of the U.S. District Court and U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia since 1937. Retired from the City of Columbus on July 1, 1972 after serving as the Deputy Finance Director and Director of the City Annexation Program. Member St. Mary Magdelene Catholic Church where he served as an usher for 40 years, Former 4th degree member Knights of Columbus. Former member Oakhurst Country Club. Golf instructor for several years at Wee Bonnie Golf Course. Longtime member of U.S. Golf Association. Preceded in death by parents James and Cora; brothers Robert, James and Thomas; sister Mary Quigley. Survived by wife of 64 years, Mildred; sons, James (Laurel) MacDonald of Columbus, Oh., and Lawrence (Rose Ann) MacDonald of Flint, Mich.; 15 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
