LEONARD Rueben Y. Leonard, age 68, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 6, 2001 at Kobacker House. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Viola Leonard, Greensboro, NC.; wife, Elizabeth Lynn Leonard, Columbus, 1999 and brother, Keith Leonard, West Palm Beach, FL. He is survived by his sons, Nelson (Victoria) Leonard, New York, NY., Christopher Leonard and Ms. Dana Mueller, St. Pete Beach, FL.; daughter, Elizabeth (Scott) Sweet, Westerville, OH; grandchildren, Andrew and Hannah Sweet; sisters, Kay Gallant and Judith Kiser, Greensboro, NC. He was a retired executive vice president of business accounts for Nationwide Insurance Companies following over 32 years. He was a graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was editor of the Tarnation Magazine and a member of Sigma Epsilon Fraternity. Rueben will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and his generosity and will be missed by many friends and family. Family received friends 7-9 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2001 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road. Private interment at a later date. LLOYD Wayne Allen Lloyd, age 76, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2001. He was a retired field coil insulator for the railroad. Member of the IUE #745. Avid fan of OSU, Browns and Indiana. Wayne was a born again Christian. Preceded in death by wife Juanita. Survived by daughter, Karen Lloyd of Westerville; sons, Mark (Irene) Lloyd of Lockbourne, and Timothy Lloyd of Reynoldsburg; grandchildren, Christi and Sheree; sister-in-law, Marge Lloyd; special friends (his pets), Lady, Peppy and Tiny. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m.Tuesday at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 225 E. State St., where the funeral service will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. Rev. Mike Nichols officiating. Interment Union Grove Cemetery. A special thanks to the nursing staff at Riverside 4th floor who helped Wayne.

LORENZO Isidro Cardenas Lorenzo, age 55, passed away Friday, April 6, 2001 at home. Born in Santiago, Cuba. Survived by loving wife, Sunetta Carol Ferguson Lorenzo; stepson, Joel Ferguson; daughter-in-law, Misty Cochran; granddaughters, Shianna and Rasheeda; sisters-in-law, Valerie Mott, Ellen Moss, Mary Ferguson, Alice (Doug) Scott; special nieces, Ronrica and Camille Mott; special friends, Allonda Seleimat, Duane Boyde, Gino Rodriquez, Fernando Seleimat, Penelope Nunez; a host of other relatives and friends. LOWE Bruce W. Lowe, 71, of Worthington, died Friday, April 6, 2001 at his residence. Retired from Oakwood Homes and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Preceded in death by his parents Jay S. and Cora (Pollitt) Lowe and brothers Wayne and Jay Lowe. He is survived by his wife, June; children, Karen S. Hartmann of Westerville, Mary Ellen (Daryl) Weininger of Worthington, Bruce W. (Christina) Lowe of Woodland Hills, Ca., Keith A. (Amanda) Lowe of Davis, Ca. and Cynthia M. (David) Tucker of Powell; grandchildren, Erin, Stewart, Jonathan, Emily, Adrienne, Taylor, James, Cory, Hannah and Haley; sister, Mary Stull; brothers, Howard and James Lowe; nieces and nephews. Funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High Street, Worthington. Burial will follow in Kingwood Memorial Park. MANLEY John A. Manley, age 79, passed away Friday, April 6, 2001. Retired from Schuler Leukart Company and was an independent painting contractor. Preceded in death by parents Albert B. and Dorothy D. Manley; wives, Catherine Mae and Fronia Virginia Manley. Survived by daughters, Donna Manley Schnieder, Cathy (Paul) Smith and son, Jack Edward Manley; step-children, Paul George and Ralph White, Martha (Kenney) Keller; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Betty Graul, Rose Caldwell, James (Patricia), Jerry Manley of Columbus, and Donald (Karol) Manley of Md.; special friend, Ada Flatt of Okla.; and many friends, nieces and nephews. Member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she served on the Guilding Light Guild and Hospitality Committee. Member of Walnut Creek Civic Association and Volunteer and member of YMCA-Seniors. Retired Habilitation Specialist from State of Ohio. Predeceased by parents Clarence and Daisy Pittman; son Jeffery Moorer; daughter Ozella Pittman; brothers Herman Sr., Sonny, and Clarence Pittman; niece/sisters Doris Countryman and Maxie Ree Mansfield. MURRAY John F. Murray, age 78, passed away April 7, 2001. Retired Vice President of the Ohio Company. Past President of Bond Club. Veteran of WWII as Lieutenant in Army Air Corp. Member of St. Andrews Catholic Church, and was a avid golfer. He is survived by beloved wife of 56 years, Kathleen. A loving father to his daughters, Mary Lynn (Peter) Jensen, Kathleen (Robert) Pietrick, both of West Lake, Oh., Sheila Davison, Colleen (Brad) Stockert, both of Pickerington, Oh.; and sons, Jay Michael (Nancy) Murray of North Royalton, Oh., Timothy (Mary Lynn) Murray of Troy, Oh.; grandchildren, Sara (Ryan) Keating, Peter Jensen, Robert (Vicki) Pietrick, Jay Pietrick, Kathleen (Chad Karmol) Pietrick, McKenzie and Campbell Davison, Samantha and Trevor Stockert, Megan and Jessica Murray, Lisa and Laura Murray; great granddaughter, Maggie; brother, Donald (Monica) Murray; sister, Adele Gallagher; many nieces and nephews. MacDONALD Alex E. MacDonald, age 93, Friday, April 6, 2001 at Franklin  Woods Nursing Home. Served U.S. Army from 1927-1933, honorably discharged as a Sgt. Major from Office of Chief of Infantry. Graduated from Catholic University of America College of Law, Washington, D.C., in 1938. Worked at the general accounting office in Washington from 1936-1947. Chief budget and fiscal officer for the State Department in Seoul, Korea from 1947-1950. Assistant Chief of Accounting at the U.S. Army Depot from 1951-1953. Member of the U.S. District Court and U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia since 1937. Retired from the City of Columbus on July 1, 1972 after serving as the Deputy Finance Director and Director of the City Annexation Program. Member St. Mary Magdelene Catholic Church where he served as an usher for 40 years, Former 4th degree member Knights of Columbus. Former member Oakhurst Country Club. Golf instructor for several years at Wee Bonnie Golf Course. Longtime member of U.S. Golf Association. Preceded in death by parents James and Cora; brothers Robert, James and Thomas; sister Mary Quigley. Survived by wife of 64 years, Mildred; sons, James (Laurel) MacDonald of Columbus, Oh., and Lawrence (Rose Ann) MacDonald of Flint, Mich.; 15 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. McKINNEY James E. McKinney, age 78, Saturday, April 7, 2001 at Doctor's Hospital North. Retired from Carl Zipf Lock Shop. Preceded in death by wife Clara Ruth McKinney; brother William McKinney. Survived by children, Debra (Sam) Ferrell, Lucy (Artie) Nelson and Billy McKinney; grandchildren, Michelle Lafferty, Thomas Ferrell and Billy McKinney; several nieces and nephews. Owner and Franchisee of several Domino's Pizza stores in the Sarasota and Naples, Florida area. Former manager and area supervisor of Domino's Pizza in Columbus and Detroit. Former president of the Domino's Franchisee & Owners Association. A 1980 graduate of Westerville North High School and attended the University of Dayton. Mark is survived by his former wife, Denise Smith of Sarasota; son, Mark Jr., and daughter, Brianna; father, Charles Smith of Columbus; sisters, Gabrielle Tammer of Columbus, Virginia (David) Huffman of Upper Arlington, Ann Margaret Heiser of Louisville, Ky.; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jeannine and Joseph Zing of Tampa; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
