Preceded by her step-mother Millie (Leach) Jennings. Retired High School teacher Big Walnut School District, where she taught 27 years; retired in 1976. Graduate Otterbein College. Member of Condit Presbyterian Church, Friendly Club, Church Women United, Columbia Chapter #33 OES, Search Light Club, Secretary of the Residents Council at Huber Village, Reading Volunteer Pointview Elementary School. Tutored many students after her retirement. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Nan and Keith Wampler; grandson, Jay Wampler all of Granville; brother, Dr. Ray (Helen) Jennings, Gallipolis; sister, Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Brenner, Sunbury. Preceded by husband Bernard J. Searles. Private family burial will be held at the Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rabbi Cary Kozberg. Shiva will be observed (Mon.-Wed. 5-8 p.m.) at Les and Harriet Kallenberg residence. ARNOLD Richard Jett Arnold, Lieutenant Colonel, United States Army, retired, age 79, died April 15, 2001 at his home. Preceded in death by Ruth Holland Arnold, first wife. Survived by Helen Irving Arnold, second wife; sons, John Arnold (Barbara) and Robert Arnold (Peggy); daughters, Kathryn Marcou and Christine Arnold; step-sons, William Horton (Rita) and Charles Horton (Mary); step-daughter, Catherine Klingler (Tim); grandchildren, Michael and Stephen Marcou, Sarah McKee Lucas, Benjamin, Corrine Arnold; step-grandchildren, Patrick and Elizabeth Horton, Lisa Smith, LTJG William Scott and Jennifer Horton, Grace and Mae Klingler. Born in St. Louis, Mo. Attended University of Nebraska and was graduated from The Ohio State University. Past President of Northern Kiwanis. Served in the U.S. Army for 23 years, earning the following medals: Silver Star-Germany, 1945, Bronze Star for Valor with Oak Leaf Cluster, Germany, 1945, Korea, 1950, Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster-Germany, 1945, Korea, 1950, American Campaign, 1943-44, European Campaign, 1945 with 3 Battle Stars, Victory Medal, 1945, Army of Occupation Medal-Germany, 1946, National Defense Service Medal, 1947-50, Korean Campaign with 3 Battle Stars, 1950-51, Vietnam Service Medal, 1965, United Nations Korean Service Medal, 1951, Republic of Viet Nam Tet Offensive, 1960. Later employed by The Ohio State University in the Facilities Planning Department. Funeral service to be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 700 High St., Worthington, April 19, 2001, 3 p.m., where family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service in the church atrium. The Rev. BATEMAN Edna W. Bateman, age 84, of Columbus, died Sunday, April 15, 2001 at Worthington Christian Village. Preceded in death by husband Melvin Bateman and son John Bateman. Survived by daughter, Gail (William) Waters of Beverly Hills, Fla.; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Rose Klamn; several nieces and nephews. Member of First Church of the Nazarene for over 60 years. Funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME, 2383 N. High St., Columbus, where friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Interment Obetz Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Columbus Alzheimer's Association.

BELL Jerry Lee Bell, age 57, of Grove City, died Saturday, April 14, 2001 at home. Jerry was an associate of the Dana Corporation and was formerly in the U.S Army Reserves. Jerry competed in weight lifting and in 1978 set a world record by lifting 702 lbs while competing in the 165 lb weight class, and was inducted into the power lifting Hall of Fame in Toledo in 1988. He was a dedicated and committed Husband, Father and Grandfather. He is survived by wife, Mary; father, Roy Bell, Toledo; sons, Eric (Carolyn) Bell, San Diego, CA., Jerry Bell, Columbus; grandchildren, Mikaela Bell, Josephine M. Bell and Sidney C. Fleming; brothers, Roger Bell, Raymon (Caroline) Bell, Gene (Jacqueline) Bell; sister, Dolores (George) Davies, all of Toledo. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Church, 3710 Broadway, Grove City with Fr. John Swickard officiating. Friends may call Tuesday 5-9 p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. Interment of remains will be at Grove City Cemetery at a later date. Prayer service 7 p.m. Tuesday.

BUCHHOLTZ Rev. Paul Harnly Buchholtz, age 82, of Columbus, died Saturday, April 14, 2001 at Columbus West Park Nursing Home. Born May 21, 1918 in Roseville, Oh., son of Rev. Dr. William E. and Fern (Harnly) Buchholtz. He was a member of the Hilltop Lutheran Church. Survived by wife, Margaret L. Burley; sons, Paul W. (Karen), Robert W. (Judy) of Columbus, Jonathan Z. (Amy) of Springfield; daughter, Miriam L. (Scott)  Johnson of Vienna, W.Va.; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Also survived by sisters, Mary E. Foster, Wilma Swingle and Grace Brown; sisters-in-law, Naomi Buchholtz and Reta Buchholtz. Preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Graduate of Wittenburg University and of Hamma School of Theology. Served parishes in Orrville, Lucas, Curtice, Toledo, Columbus and Barberton, all in Oh. Veteran of WW II, Navy Chaplain. Retired Chaplain (Lt. Colonel) Ohio Army National Guard. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., Tuesday April 17, 2001. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Hilltop Lutheran Church, 12 Terrace Ave. at West Broad St. Bishop Callon W. Holloway Jr. officiating. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Crooksville Cemetery, Crooksville, Oh. Contributions may be made to Hilltop Lutheran Church.

CAMERON Albert F. Cameron, Jr., age 84, of Upper Arlington, died Saturday, April 14, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born October 8, 1916 in Lithopolis to Albert F. Cameron, Sr. and Mary Edwards Cameron. He was a graduate of North High School and attended The Ohio State University. He retired as an Agent with Great West Life Assurance Company where he was a member of the Million Dollar Round Table. For the last 23 years, he worked with his son at D & M Distributors, Inc. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church; Past Commander of the Upper Arlington American Legion Post # 443; and also a member of Capital City Lodge # 656 F. & A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Shrine Temple, and the Columbus Maennerchor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Edna L. Cameron, on December 18, 2000; brothers, Kenneth, Harold and Robert; and sisters Rosemary, Grace, and Elsie. Albert is survived by his sons, Thomas Carl (Norma) Cameron, Sr. and Albert F. "Jerry" (Debbie) Cameron, III, both of Columbus; daughter, Vicki Lee (Tim) Bailey of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren, Thomas II (Jennifer), Lucas, Todd, Allen (Suzon), Jeff, and Sarah Cameron, Maggie and Aaron "A.J." Bailey; great grandchildren, Thomas III and Cayla Cameron; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Dr. Arthur G. James; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2070 Ridgecliff Rd., Upper Arlington, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10-11 am. Rev. Thomas G. Albaum will officiate. A private interment will be held for the family later in Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Arthur G. Survived by wife, Phyllis; daughters, Dawn, Jeralyn and Beth; step-daughters, Melissa West and Lisa Whitten; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Sara West, Steven and Dennis III Roeder; sisters, Alice, Esther and Ruth; brother, David Dean. DEYO Mildred M. Deyo, 82, of Mt. Sterling, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 15, 2001 in Mt. Carmel West. She was born October 9, 1918 in Mt. Sterling, Oh., the daughter of the late Scott Augustas and Ella (Self) Truitt. She was retired from Credit Bureau of Columbus. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Margie Deyo and nephew, Billy (Louise) Truitt, all of Mt. Sterling; along with numerous cousins. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday April 19, 2001 at the PORTER FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Kenneth Kittlewell officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2001.

DRUMHELLER Woodrow W. Drumheller Jr., 57, Louisville, Ky., formerly of Canal Winchester, Oh., died Monday, April 9, 2001, Jewish Hospital, Louisville, Ky. 1962 graduate of Canal Winchester High School. Attended The Ohio State University. Served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Survived by companion, Rita Kent of Louisville, Ky.; daughter, Laura (Mike) Dickenson of Coquilla, Oreg.; parents, Mary Drumheller of Canal Winchester and Woodrow W. Drumheller Sr. of Delaware; sisters, Patricia James and Mary Jo Divers of Canal Winchester; brother, Robert (Margy) Drumheller of Upper Arlington; grandson, Jack; nieces and nephews and great-nephew. EDWARDS Norman Foresman Edwards, age 87, of Columbus, died Sunday, April 15, 2001 in Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church and the 4 S Club. Surviving him are daughters, Nancy Kesselring of Plain City, Oh., and Mary (Fred) Callahan of Columbus; son, Norman D. Edwards of Moreno Valley, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Friends may call WOODYARD EAST CHAPEL, 2300 E. Livingston Avenue, Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where Rosary service will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. FLEMISTER Rev. Frank R. Flemister, age 83, Friday, April 13, 2001 at Mt. Carmel West. A U.S. Army veteran. Founder and faithful dedicated Pastor of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church for 35 years. A retired employee of Columbus Southern Electric Co. Preceded in death by his wife Cora, daughter Connie, parents Grant and Frankie Flemister and brothers Ulysses, James and Robert. Survived by brothers, Homer (Bernice) Flemister and Willie (Barbara) Flemister of Los Angeles, Calif.; grandchildren, Richard (Minister Linda) Ellis and Cora L. Jones; great-grandchildren, Teea and Kia Ellis; great-great-granddaughter, Leah Ellis Carter; very loyal and faithful Church Clerk for many years, Glendora Clayton; many other relatives and friends. Funeral 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at the Chapel of C.D. WHITE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1217 Mt. Vernon Ave. Rev. Jack Watkins, Officiant. GREENE Mr. Joe L. Greene, Jr., age 84. Service of Memory Saturday 10 a.m., Chapel of DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long St. Mr. Greene will lie in state after 8 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends 9 a.m. until time of service.

GRIBBLE A Mass of Christian Burial for Catherine E. Gribble, 83, of Newark, Oh., will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Newark, Oh. with Rev. G. Michael Gribble officiating. Burial will take place on Thursday at 10 a.m., St. Joseph Cemetery, Newark, Oh. Mrs. Gribble died at Licking Memorial Hospital on Saturday, July 26, 1999. She was born in Bellaire, Oh. on December 31, 1917 to the late John J. and Susie (Mitchell) Kane. Catherine was retired from Newark Hospital and Licking Memorial Hospital, where she was an accounts payable clerk. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, the American Legion Post #85 Auxiliary, member and past president of the Business and Professional Women's Club, the P.I.M.E. Guilds, and a board member of the Licking County Unit of the American Heart Association. She is survived by 1 son, Rev. G. Michael Gribble of Columbus; 2 daughters, Susie K. Gribble of Newark and Rose M. Gribble of Columbus; 2 brothers and 1 sister-in-law, William K. Kane of Delaware and Robert E. and Shirley Kane of Newark; and many nieces and nephews. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years George W. Gribble in 1984, 3 brothers John M. Kane, Charles J. Kane and Richard B. Kane and 1 sister Mary Rose Paulsen. Friends and family may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17 and 2-4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18 at the Chapel of the Annunciation in St. Francis de Sales Church, where a Vigil Service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
