Former owner of Art and Litho Printing Co. and Typographic Printing Co. Recently employed by the Inkwell Printing Co. Preceded in death by parents John and Helen Morbitzer; brother John and sister Helen Kurelic. Survived by wife, Patricia; children, Cindy Burnside, Tim (Penny), Beth (Richard) Scanlon, Thomas (Lisa), Amy Brumfield, Jill (Joe) Schmitz, Lisa (Tim) West; 14 grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Rebecca), Steve (Laurel); sisters, Anne (John) Leahy, Kathie Morbitzer; brother-in-law, Rudy Kurelic; many nieces and nephews. MORRISON Mary F. Morrison, age 81, of Worthington, died Monday, April 16, 2001 at Forum at Knightsbridge. Mary is survived by her husband of 48 years, George Morrison; children, Scott (Susan) Ross of Hilliard, Libby Williams of Worthington, and George (Pam) Morrison Jr. of Pine, Colo.; grandchildren, Darcie Ross of Dublin, Heather Williams of Worthington, Nicole Oudenhoven of Lakewood, Colo., Carley Morrison and Dustin Morrison, both of Pine, Colo.; brother, Bill Maurer of Ravenna, Oh.; and nieces, nephews and many friends. Mary was a member of Worthington Presbyterian Church, Worthington Historical Society and Worthington Women's Club. An avid golfer, she played at various area courses with the "Whiffers" for many years. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, 614-885-4006. McMULLEN Robert Clarence "Bob" McMullen, age 84, of Lynchburg, Oh., died Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at his residence. He was born October 31, 1916 in Ft. Thomas, Ky., the son of the late Benson Foraker and Mary Gertrude (Exler) McMullen. He was a member of the Lynchburg United Methodist Church and had received certification to be a Lay Speaker in the Methodist Church on February 10, 1967. He had been a Boy Scout Leader for 28 years, had served the Lynchburg Board of Education for 16 years, had been a member of the Lions Club since 1954, was a member of Promise Keepers. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Robert C. and Linda McMullen of Cincinnati, John R. and Bonnie McMullen of Columbus; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Hall of Hillsboro, Carolyn and Roger Rom of Mt. Orab, Kathy and Steve Cooper of Cincinnati; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren. Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Lynchburg United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Survived by daughters, Justine (Louis) Capretta of Dublin and Vickie (Thomas Jr.) Yezbak of Sunrise, Fla.; grandchildren, Craig (Arlinda) Capretta, Barry Capretta and Nicolette Ross; great-grandchildren, Kelley Capretta, Toni Capretta and Javi Maltes. NEWSOM Virginia L. Newsom, age 66, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at the residence. Preceded in death by husband Johnny, mother and father, infant daughter, and a brother. Survived by children, Alan Holbrook, Kenneth (Lilia) Boggs, Gloria Boggs, Sherman (Elaine) Boggs, Timothy (Laura) Boggs, Randy Boggs, Kelly M. (Richard) George and Ellen (Alfred) Helton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ellen Duchesne of California; many nieces and nephews. PAINTER Carlisle B. Painter, 78, of Delaware, died Tuesday evening, April 17, 2001 at the Kobacker House of Hospice at Riverside Hospital. He was born on February 23, 1923 to Lee (L.L.) and Ethel Carlisle Painter. He touched many lives as a farmer, a toolmaker for Denison Engineering, a Concord Township Trustee, a Deacon and Elder for his churches, and held numerous offices for Riverside Grange. As a loving and wonderful father, grandfather and husband, his primary endeavor was to serve Jesus Christ and make Him known by living an honest life of integrity. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lowe Painter, whom he married on August 18, 1946; his son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Karen Painter of Centerville, Oh.; his daughters and sons-in-law, Carla and Gary Wilber of Troy, Oh., Cathy and Douglas Dickson of Powell, Oh.; his grandchildren, Cristian and Victoria Painter, Jennifer and Mathew Klint, Emily and Abigail Wilber, Christopher and Amanda Dickson, Angela and Brett Carlson, Heidi and Matthew Shelton; his great-grandchildren, Maddison and Alexander Klint. Preceded in death by 2 brothers Charles and Virgil. Viewing hours will be at Dublin Baptist Church, 7195 Coffman Rd. from 4-8 p.m. on Friday and 10-11 a.m. on Saturday prior to the Funeral Service. The Funeral Service will also be held at Dublin Baptist Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Darrel Gabbard. The Graveside service will be at Oller Cemetery following the Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to H.E.L.P. Cancer Support Group, Right Start Radio at Grace Brethren Church and to the Dublin Baptist Memorial Fund. PIPER Sue Ellen Piper, 62, of Westerville, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at Bennington Glen, Marengo, Oh. Member of Peace Lutheran Church in Gahanna. Retired from Lazarus as a Bridal Consultant. Taught in elementary schools in Columbus and Pickerington. Graduate of Middletown High School and Capital University. Survived by son, David (Arleen) Piper of Westerville; daughter, Laura (Tim) Hudson of Dublin; grandchildren, Joshua, Rachel, Kelly and Holly. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2001 at Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Clark State Rd., Gahanna, Oh. Pastor Earl Fritz officiating. Burial Blendon Central Cemetery. PITT Ruby Ellen Smith Pitt, 79, of Columbus, died April 17, 2001 in the Franklin  Woods Care Center. She was born February 10, 1922 in Ross Co., the daughter of Lewis and Alweda Before Smith. She was retired from General Motors in Columbus. Her parents, son Elwen (Buddy) Pitt, a grandson, 4 brothers and 6 sisters predeceased Ruby. She is survived by daughter, Mary Lou (Jerry) Donaldson, Sr., Columbus; sister, Imogene Curry, Circleville; granddaughters, Diane (Mike, Sr.) Fortner, Johnstown, Cathy (Dennis) Price and Melissa Foster; grandson, Jerry Donaldson, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Michael and Samantha Fortner, Kristi, Michelle and Julie Price, Gregory and Kimberly Pitt; numerous nieces and nephews, all of Columbus. Funeral service will be Thursday 10:30 a.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston, with burial in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call at Hill's Wednesday from 6-9 p.m.

RYAN A funeral service for Mary Katherine Ryan of Columbus, will be held at 11 a.m. at The Salvation Army, 409 S. Grant Street, with the Rev. Allen Ryan and Captains Ronald and Diana DeMichael officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery. Mary, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, peacefully went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2001 at 5:15 a.m. She was born December 17, 1932 in Baltimore, Ohio, to the late Charles and Lucille (Kinney) Leach. She was an active member of The Salvation Army Church, where she was a member of Home League and League of Mercy. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Richard Ryan; daughter, Diana (Ronald) DeMichael of Newark, Oh.; son, James (Virginia) Ryan of Bell Buckle, Tenn.; daughter, Martha (Robert) Scott of Columbus; 10 grandchildren, Bryan, Misty, Tricia, and Patrick DeMichael, James Jr., Jamie, and Jennifer Ryan, Beverly Bennett, Kelly Marchi, and Jessie Harden; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Alice Hawk, Gene Rose Wielgos, Geraldine Peak, Carol Taylor; brothers, James Leach, Richard Leach, Donald Leach; sister-in-law, Edith Evans; brothers-in-law, Allen and John Ryan; special friend, Nick Kiger; and numerous nieces and nephews. Survived by her loving daughter, Judith (William) Senter, Columbus; granddaughter, Marilyn (Carl) Snezek, Atlanta, Ga.; great-granddaughters, Elise and Jackie; brothers-in-law, Paul and Carl Schaadt. Preceded in death by her husband John Stein and 2 brothers Clement and Lawrence Griffith.
