Survived by son, William Gallagher of Columbus; sisters, Mary Newman of London, Oh. and Dorothy (Herschel) Morrison of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews. HANRAHAN Loma J. Hanrahan, 89, formerly of Delaware, Tuesday, April 17, 2001 in Santa Barbara, Calif. Born April 15, 1912 in Sunbury to the late Perle and Winona Whitney Stanforth. She had worked at Ohio Wesleyan University in the alumni records office. An active member of St. Mary Church, past president of the Altar and Rosary Society. Volunteered with a number of local organizations including Meals on Wheels, American Red Cross, past president of the Sarah Moore Home Service Board and the Jane M. Case Hospital Auxiliary. Enjoyed sewing, playing bridge, gardening and especially tending to her roses. Survived by daughter, Mary Sue Marks of Livermore, Calif.; son, Bill Hanrahan of Santa Barbara, Calif.; grandson, John Patrick Marks of Pleasanton, Calif. Preceded in death by her husband in 1978, John P. Hanrahan, who operated the former Hanrahan-Pletcher Funeral Home in Delaware and sister Angeline Baker. HORISBERGER Jeannette A. Horisberger, age 68, of Plain City, died Friday, April 20, 2001 at her residence. Born February 2, 1933 in Winesburg, Ohio. Insurance Agent for Smucker Insurance for 17 years. Member of Plain City United Methodist Church and sang in the church choir for a number if years. Member Silent Hand Circle of King's Daughters & Sons of Plain City and Ceramics Anonymous of Columbus. She is preceded in death by her father Hans Grossniklaus in 1964; and her sister Suzette "Snooks" Grossniklaus in 1986. Survived by husband, Hans Horisberger, whom she married November 8, 1950 in Fort Wayne, Ind.; children, Don H. Horisberger of Lake Bluff, Ill., Trudy A. (Michael) Scheiding of Whitehouse, Oh., Heidi L. (William) DeLong of Marysville; grandchildren, Jonathan and Rachel Scheiding; mother, Alice J. (Burkhalter) Grossniklaus of Wilmot, Oh.; brother, Don "Sonny" Grossniklaus of Wooster. Celebration of Life 11 a.m. Wednesday Plain City United Methodist Church, 202 N. HUGHES Urias "Uri" Russell Hughes, 44, of Indianapolis and formerly of Columbus, joined his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins in the House of the Lord on April 20, 2001 in the Saint Francis Hospital, Beechgrove, Indiana after a lengthy illness. Born August 19, 1956 in Columbus a son of Urias and Florence (Drummond) Hughes. Uri was a 1974 graduate of Westland High School, a member of Columbia Heights United Methodist Church, worked as a data processor for various banks, operated a decorator consultant service in various cities, and was an honorary Kentucky Colonel. Survived by parents of London, Ohio; sisters, Linda (Don) Gibbs of Granger, Indiana; Candace Murvine (Danny Hicks) of Westerville; nieces and nephews, Trent and Troy Pettry; Ashley, Adam and Alissa Hicks; William Hughes Gibbs; Dakota and Megan Pettry; many aunts, uncles, cousins and many devoted and dear friends, especially, Freda Lockhart, Mr. and Mrs. John Sims and John, Jr. of Indiana. KETTLEWELL David E. Kettlewell, 78, of Sunbury, Tuesday morning, April 10, 2001 at his residence. Born in Glen Dale, W.Va. to the late John H. and Olga (Daggett) Kettlewell. He was a WW II Army Veteran with the 102nd Infantry Division. Graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in Chemistry in 1950. Employed with American Electric Power and subsidiary companies, Ohio Power and Appalachian Power, for 37 years and retired as Manager of the Chemical Engineering Section in 1988. Member of the Edison Electric Institute, American Chemical Society, American Institute of Chemical Engineers and American Society of Testing Materials. A member of Ohio #1 Masonic Lodge of Wheeling and Condit Presbyterian Church. Survived by wife, Marilyn J. (Ake) Kettlewell; son, David of Moundsville, W.Va.; daughter, Ann (Richard) Border of Glen Dale, W.Va.; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Olga E. LYLE Newton G. Lyle, age 87, received by our heavenly father on Thursday, April 19, 2001. Preceded in death by wife Marie H. Lyle. Survived by his dearest, Mona Boster; his sons, Daniel (Patty) Lyle and Thomas (Bonnie) Lyle; grandchildren, Bill Lyle, Tim Lyle, Jennifer (Dave) Malik, Heather (Kevin) Martin and Joshua (Kathy) Lyle; great-grandchildren, Billy, Ryan, Samantha, Tyler, Caitlin Lyle and Nathaniel Martin; special family, Rita and Kenny Purrell and children, Kenny Joe, Stephanie, Scott, Chrissy. Retired from Borden's after many years of service. Newtie will be missed and most remembered for his humor and being grandpa fix-it. MANN Audrey E. Mann, 90, died Saturday, April 21, 2001 in Tampa, Fla. She was predeceased by her husband Robert C. She leaves a daughter, Audrey "Fritzie" Silcott; a son-in-law, Paul; a grandson, Robin; a granddaughter, Susan; and four great grandchildren. Survived by brothers, Cecil D. Rose, Jr., Robert V. Rose, James V. Rose and sister, Mary Moon. NATIONAL CREMATION SOCIETY.

MANN Herbert Partee Mann, age 93, Friday, April 20, 2001. Born May 12, 1907. Lifelong resident of Columbus, Ohio; born and raised in Hilltop and 52-year resident of Clintonville. Preceded in death by wife Gladys Lynn Mann; son Roger Lynn Mann; and parents William and Blanche (Partee) Mann. Survived by daughter-in-law, Nancy (Mann) Houser and husband, Lyle; and grandchildren, Marcia (Mann) Rector and husband, Raymond; Roger Mann and wife, Debra; and Sara (Mann) Copenhaver and husband, Chip; ten great-grandchildren also survive: in birth order: Ashley, Dorco-Copenhaver, Cole Dorco-Copenhaver, Rebecca Mann, Landon Mann, Jennifer Mann, Ryan Rector, Tyler Copenhaver, Megan Rector, Boyd Copenhaver, Zachary Mann. Retired from Timken Roller Bearing Co. in Columbus, Ohio. Herb was an avid rose gardener and received many awards from the Ohio Rose shows including numerous recognition certificates for his time and contributions to the Rose Society. A member of the American Rose Society for over 50 years and honored as a Consulting Rosarian Emeritus. A member of the Columbus Rose Club since the 1940's, he served as President in 1962 and was awarded their Bronze Medal for outstanding service. A charter member of the Central Ohio Rose Society when it formed in 1950, served as President in 1960 and honored with a Life Membership. Survivor of the 1913 flood and participated in recent years in the Survivors of the 1913 Flood group. Active member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church since 1943. Family will receive friends Monday 2-3 and 7-9 p.m. at WEIR-AREND FUNERAL HOME, 4221 N. High St. (3 blocks south of Henderson Rd.). Service will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 7 West Henderson Rd. Interment Sunset Cemetery. Dr. Joel S. Baer officiating. MAXWELL Sharon Maxwell, age 64, of Columbus, died Friday, April 20, 2001, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Retired teacher from the Knox County area Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband Smiley William Maxwell of Cardington, Ohio. Sharon is survived by daughter, Jody (Tim) Scarbrough of Columbus; mother, Zelma Haas of Columbus; brother, Greg (Anita) Haas of Columbus; grandchildren, Kelslan Lee Scarbrough and William Maxwell; nephew Andrew M. MILLER Edna Edith Miller, age 82, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2001 in Riverview, Florida at home while under the care of Lifepath Hospice. Member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and the Dingaling Women's Choir in Ft. Meyers, Florida. Preceded in death by husband Roman Miller. Survived by daughter, Janice (Randy) Denney of Riverview, Florida; sister, Alwilda Markley; grandchildren, Steven and Roman Lee Denney of Florida; great granddaughter, Ashleigh; neices and nephews.
