Retired in December of 1999 as Director of Human Resources for the Department of Education after 30 years service. 8 year Perry Township Trustee, Franklin County, active member of Worthington Christian Church, Board President of Christian Childrens Home of Ohio, Wooster, Oh., Past Master and Secretary of University Lodge #631 F&AM, Past Masters Unit of the Aladdin Shrine (Assistant Director and Vice President), Scottish Rite, Valley of Columbus, Horace W. Wright #226 R.A.M.; West Gate Council #129 R&SM; Mt. Vernon Commandery #1 K.T. Graduate of West Virginia University in 1964 and Keyser High School in 1959. Preceded in death by parents Arvil (Tom) Ross Cathell and Nell (Hovatter) Cathell, and sister Helen Cathell. Survived by his wife of 31 years, Joyce; daughters, Donna (Mark) Slaughter of Bloomington, Ind., Tahna Cathell of Westerville; grandson, Matthew Slaughter; brother, Gene (Shirley) Cathell of Keyser, W.Va.; half-brother, Keith (May) Hovatter of Rising Sun, Md.; half-sister, Mary Knotts of Short Gap, W.Va.; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (* mile south of I-270), where Masonic service will be held Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at 10 a.m. a memorial service will be held at the Worthington Christian Church, 8145 N. High St., Columbus. Dr. Marshall Hayden officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Larry Cathell was an exceptional man of great integrity, who was well respected and shared his love of life, family and friends with everyone. Preceded in death by parents Delmar V. and Emma Mae Coleman, Sr. Survived by son, Derek (Teresa) Kinzer; daughters, Michele Bridges, Alisha (Terry) Moore, Tameka Coleman and Tina Kinzer; 13 grandchildren; brothers, Delmar (Barbara) Coleman, Jr. and Kevin (Flora) Coleman; sisters, Dola (Joe) Davis, Beverly (Donnie) Muse, Brenda L. Hackett, Gwynnith K. Coleman and Patricia Mayercin; aunt, Gladys Taylor; ex-wife, Dorothy Coleman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends, including special friends, Cathy Ferguson and best friends, Mickey, John and Terry. COX David O. Cox, age 83, of Dunedin, Fla., died Wednesday April 18, 2001 at Mease Dunedin Hospital. He was born in Mobile, Ala. He worked for more than 40 years for Ross Laboratories (later purchased by Abbott Laboratories), where he served as President starting in April 1969. He retired in 1983 as Corporate Vice President of Abbott. As a community leader, he was a 21 year Trustee and Past President of Children's Hospital and Children's Hospital Research Foundation and Board Chairman of Columbus State College. He was active in civic programs in Columbus, including the Buckeye Boys Ranch, Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Columbus Metropolitan Career Center. Member of the board of the Central Ohio Red Cross Association, the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce, the United Way, and Rotary Clubs of Columbus and Dunedin. He was the first Chairman of the Board of Infant Formula Council and a Trustee of Mease Dunedin Hospital. He was a Past Commodore and Heber Award recipient of Buckeye Lake Yacht Club. He was an Army veteran of WW II, serving in anti-aircraft artillery with the rank of Major. Survivors include his wife, June Headlee; sister, Betsy Cox Upsher; 2 sons, David O. Jr., Madison, Oh. and Fredrick M., Buckeye Lake, Oh.; daughter, Carolyn Cox Batcheller, Cleveland Heights, Oh.; step-son, Marty Headlee, Westerville, Oh.; step-daughter, LaRae Anderson Peters, Clearwater, Fla.; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren. DUNN Nancy K. Dunn, age 57, of Columbus, Oh., April 24, 2001 at Kobacker House after a 2* year courageous battle with lung cancer. Retired from Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Survived by devoted daughter, Kathleen (Ed) Hayman of Westerville; loving grandchildren, David, Nicholas and Emily; uncle, Julius (Fran) Rassin of Cleveland, Oh.; dear friend, Melissa King of Westerville. Preceded in death by parents A. David and Sophia Kronemer and sister Tina Ament. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. DUTCHER Margaret M. Dutcher, age 43, went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, April 23, 2001 at mt. Carmel Medical Center. She worked for Grange Insurance for 22 years and attended Good Shepherd Community Church, Obetz Rd. Preceded in death by brother Jimmy Watson. Survived by loving son, John Krivicich; mother, Ordie Watson; father, Ronald Dutcher; sister, Kaylene (Michael) Clark; brothers, Robert of Phoenix, Ariz., Ronald (Tina) of Bamburg, S.C., Mark (Robin) Watson of Columbus; nieces, nephews and many friends. Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. FENTRESS Raymond Fentress, age 70, Friday, April 20, 2001 at Grant Medical Center. A U.S. Air Force Veteran. Preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Willia Fentress. Survived by his wife, Martha; brothers, Robert, Tenn., Lawyer, Ind.; daughter, Debra Hayes, Charlene Morgan, Mischelle Morgan, Cherrita Fentress, Quanette Fentress and Jamia Fentress; sons of Columbus, Tommy Fentress, Donald Morgan, Dart Brown, Shawn Fentress, Samuel Payne and Dion Fentress, Raymond Jr. of El Paso, Tex.; 18 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; best friends, Goody Bell, David Crockett of Columbus, Shirley Blassingame and Beverly Fentress; many other relatives and friends. Funeral 12noon Wednesday at the Christ Southern Missionary Church, 727 Stambaugh Ave. Pastor Ronald L. Bell and Co-Pastor Evangelist Nina M. Bell, Officiants. FISHER Carol Emily Fisher, age 75, passed away April 5, 2001 at her home in Mesa. She was born in Holbrook and was raised in Lakeside. She lived in Columbus, Oh. from 1951 to 1985 when she returned to Mesa. SHe married John H. Fisher, Jr. in 1945. He passed awy in 1977. Carol was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling and visiting her family. She had traveled the world over, and was a collector of many things. She also loved the outdoors and was an excellent cook. Mrs. Fisher is survived by 2 sons, Robin Fisher of Fenton, Mich. and John H. Fisher III of Circleville, Oh.; 3 daughters, Linda Fisher Luther of Woodstock, N.Y., Kottia Jarvis of Marengo, Oh. and Barbara Namme of Pleasantville, N.J.; 3 brothers, Max Hansen, Rex Hansen and Fred Robin Hensen; 3 sisters, Julia Westover, Geniel Twitchell and Veon Schunzel; 10 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held April 9, 2001 at Lakeside, Ariz. OWENS MORTUARY of Show Low, Ariz. handled the arrangements.

FREEMAN David R. Freeman, 34, of London, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001 in London. Born August 1, 1966 in Columbus. Employed by Forrest Trucking in West  Jefferson as a driver and mechanic. Survived by wife, Sheri (Mayes) Freeman; daughter, Cortney Freeman; son, Cody Freeman; mother, Issy (Dautel) Freeman; father, Tom (Edie) Freeman; sister, Patty (Kenny) Johnson; brothers, Tim (Geri) Freeman, all of London and Donald Freeman of Mt. Sterling; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the EBERLE FUNERAL HOME, London. Interment follows in Somerford Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.

Gardner Nellie M. Gardner, age 93, April 23, 2001 at St. Raphael's Home for the Aged. Longtime member of Hilltop Lutheran Church. Past member and Noble Grand of Rebecca Lodge, Hilliard, Oh. Preceded in death by husband Donald V. Gardner. Survived by children, Betty (Peter) Casaro, Bill (Nancy) Gardner; grandchildren, Don, Kim, Pete, Peg, Kelly, Jeff and Jill; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. GASBARRO Charles A. Gasbarro, Tuesday, Arbors At Hilliard, age 63. Employee of Nationwide Insurance for 45 years and a longtime resident of Grandview Heights. Preceded in death by parents Arthur and Rose. Survived by sister, Antoinette (Robert) Paullus; nephew, Michael (Linda) Paullus; niece, Julianne (Steven) Geise; great-nieces, Ashley and Allie Paullus, Jennifer Geise; great-nephew, Andrew Geise; aunts, uncles and cousins. GEHRES Maxine Fay Gehres, age 97, of Dublin, died Monday, April 2, 2001 at Friendship Village of Dublin Healthcare Center. She was a retired business teacher at Cleveland John Hay High School for more than 40 years. She is survived by her niece, Jeanne Frantz, Fort Myers, FL.; nephews, Rodney Gould, San Diego, CA., Michael (Karen) Gould, Charlotte, N.C. She was preceded in death by her sisters Gwendolyn Gould, Marie McFarland and Bonnie Gehres. Miss Gehres was a member of College Club of Cleveland, D.A.R., Presbyterian Church, Women's Civic Club and the Alpha Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. Private graveside service Evergreen Cemetery, Waverly, Oh. A memorial service will be held 12noon Sunday, April 29 at the Convocation Room of Friendship Village of Dublin, 6000 Riverside Drive. Rev. George. Survived by children; Mary Kathryn (Robert F.) Kapel, Lena V. (Robert G.) Federer, Ginny (Fred) Testa, Charles E. (Barbara) George, Richard T. HARRISON Vonda Lee Harrison, age 65, of Pickerington, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at her residence. She retired from the Pickerington School System with 20 years of service, was a member of Peace United Methodist Church, Evans Chapter #191 O.E.S., a graduate of Pickerington High School and attended the College of Wooster. Vonda is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Gerald "Jerry" Harrison; her daughter and son-in-law, Holly Ann and Michael Dunham; step-grandchildren, Marshall and Jeannie Dunham, all of Houston, Tex.; sisters, Marilyn (Jack) Stotts of Austin, Tex. and Suzanne Vaughn of Granville, Oh.; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter C. and Esther L. (Dozer) Burnham. Friends may visit Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the DWAYNE R. HEINMILLER John E. Heinmiller, age 19, of Eden Prairie, Mn., April 22, 2001 as a result of an accident in Garrison, N.Y. John was a cadet at the United States military Academy, West Point, N.Y. and was a member of the Army Hockey Team. He is survived by his loving parents, John and Julie Heinmiller; brothers, Joseph and James; sister, Susan; special friend, Maria Sorich; maternal grandparents, David and Elaine Vogel; uncles and aunts, Michael (Mary) Vogel, Peter (Martha) Vogel, Susan (Peter) Ivy, all of Mn., Jeanette Bosworth, George (Marianne) Vargo, Thomas (Julie) Rubadue, Richard (Rita) Rings, Christopher (Ruth) Wilt, all of Oh.; numerous cousins, former teammates and many friends. John graduated from Eden Prairie High School in June of 2000, where he was Captain of the Varsity Football and Varsity Hockey Teams. John received academic honors and athletic awards. Visitation will be held at Pax Christi Catholic Church, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie, Mn. on Thursday at 2 p.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial 5 p.m. Burial with full military honors immediately following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. HOMEWOOD Robert T. Homewood, age 61, died Sunday, April 22, 2001 in Little Rock, AR. Former resident of Columbus. Retired after 30 years in Marketing and Advertising with Burger King, Marriott Corp. and TCBY. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann and devoted son, Jeff and wife, Leigh Anne Homewood; sisters-in-law, Nancy Kingston, Barbara (Terry) Flanagan, Kathy Harmon; brother-in-law, Tom (Mary) Scholl; nephews, Alan, Tom and Steve; nieces, Tammy, Karen, Erin, Teresa and Tara. Robert is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Catherine Homewood Sr. and brother David. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd.
