Former member of St. Mary Church, German Village, where she actively participated in the Women's Club and Choir. Preceded in death by her father Elmer Stiles, brothers Harold and William Stiles and sister Leatha Wakeman. Survived by her children, Judith Miller, Glen (Tanis) Fine, Howard (Helen) Fine and Ruth Kennedy; grandchildren, Scott (Lori) Fine, Michael Fine and Jessie Kennedy; 2 great-grandchildren; mother, Ada Gleitsman of Cherry Valley, Calif.; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Friends may call Saturday, April 28 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. from 2-5 p.m. with Prayer Service at 4:30 p.m. Private interment at a later date. GASBARRO Charles A. Gasbarro, Tuesday, Arbors At Hilliard, age 63. Employee of Nationwide Insurance for 45 years and a longtime resident of Grandview Heights. Preceded in death by parents Arthur and Rose. Survived by sister, Antoinette (Robert) Paullus; nephew, Michael (Linda) Paullus; niece, Julianne (Steven) Geise; great-nieces, Ashley and Allie Paullus, Jennifer Geise; great-nephew, Andrew Geise; aunts, uncles and cousins. GEORGE Helen H. George, age 100, of Columbus, died Monday, April 23, 2001 at St. Ann's Hospital. Retired from H.L. Greene stores. Preceded in death by husband James E. George and son George J. George. Survived by children; Mary Kathryn (Robert F.) Kapel, Lena V. (Robert G.) Federer, Ginny (Fred) Testa, Charles E. (Barbara) George, Richard T. (Betty) George; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service Friday 10 a.m., April 27, 2001, SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (* mile south of I 270), where friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Rev. Paul Reynolds officiating. Interment Union Cemetery. She lived a full and happy life. Was loved and will be sadly missed by friends and family.

HAMPTON Philip McCune Hampton, who lived in New York City until 1996, former vice chairman of Banker's Trust Co., died on April 20, 2001 in Naples, Fla., where he maintained a home. The cause of death was cancer. He was 68 years old. Mr. Hampton was born in Whittier, Calif. and grew up in the Columbus, Oh. area. He graduated from Bexley High School in Bexley, Oh. and in 1954 earned a BA degree from Miami University in Oxford, Oh. In 1965, he was awarded a degree in graduate banking studies from Stonier School of Banking at Rutgers University. In 1954 Mr. Hampton joined Bankers Trust Company in New York City. Over the next 35 years, he rose through the ranks from assistant treasurer to senior vice president and head of the US Banking Department in 1978. He held senior positions in marketing, operations and strategic planning before becoming head of worldwide banking and investment activities. He was vice chairman and a director of Bankers Trust Company and Bankers Trust New York Corporation at his retirement in 1989. Upon Mr. Hampton's retirement, the chairman's message stated: "The loss is great for the company. What we have been able to accomplish simply would not have been possible without the standards that Phil set for commitment to our goals and collegial style." After retiring from Bankers Trust, Mr. Hampton became chairman of Metzler Corporation, the US affiliate of the German private bank B. Metzler Seel. Sohn & Co. He joined R.H. Arnold & Co. in 1997. He has served as director of a number of corporations including Bibb Co., Hemasure and Tyco International Ltd. His professional affiliations included directorships of the Empire State Chamber of Commerce and the New York State Bankers Association. He was a village trustee of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y. Mr. Hampton retained a strong interest in his alma mater, Miami University of Ohio. He established the Philip and Elaina Hampton Fund for Faculty International Initiatives at Miami University in Oxford, Oh. For the last 25 years Mr. Hampton has been a trustee of Carnegie Hall and a director of the New York Pops where he was chairman in 1997. Mr. Hampton is survived by his wife of 29 years, Elaina Frutiger Hampton; 2 sons, Mark L. Hampton of Durham, N.C. and John Andrew Hampton, USN of Virginia Beach, Va. Their mother, Jean Trout Hampton, died in 1971. There are 3 grandchildren. Two sisters also survive him, Lucy H. Sohm of Scarsdale, N.Y. and Linda H. McWhinney of Santa Fe. N.M. Though Mr. Hampton lived most of his adult life in New York City and Westchester County, he maintained ties with relatives in Ohio and in the Richmond, Ind. area, site of the Hampton family farm, as well as with boyhood and high school friends. A long time friend said, "Phil Hampton has been known during his entire life for loyalty, superb judgment, good humor, and integrity." In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Phil's memory to the New York Pops at 881 Seventh Ave., New York, New York 10019. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in the New York area.

HARRISON Vonda Lee Harrison, age 65, of Pickerington, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at her residence. She retired from the Pickerington School System with 20 years of service, was a member of Peace United Methodist Church, Evans Chapter #191 O.E.S., a graduate of Pickerington High School and attended the College of Wooster. Vonda is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Gerald "Jerry" Harrison; her daughter and son-in-law, Holly Ann and Michael Dunham; step-grandchildren, Marshall and Jeannie Dunham, all of Houston, Tex.; sisters, Marilyn (Jack) Stotts of Austin, Tex. and Suzanne Vaughn of Granville, Oh.; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter C. and Esther L. (Dozer) Burnham. Friends may visit Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Road North (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington, where the funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Craig D.  Jones officiating. HEINMILLER John E. Heinmiller, age 19, of Eden Prairie, Mn., April 22, 2001 as a result of an accident in Garrison, N.Y. John was a cadet at the United States military Academy, West Point, N.Y. and was a member of the Army Hockey Team. He is survived by his loving parents, John and Julie Heinmiller; brothers, Joseph and James; sister, Susan; special friend, Maria Sorich; maternal grandparents, David and Elaine Vogel; uncles and aunts, Michael (Mary) Vogel, Peter (Martha) Vogel, Susan (Peter) Ivy, all of Mn., Jeanette Bosworth, George (Marianne) Vargo, Thomas (Julie) Rubadue, Richard (Rita) Rings, Christopher (Ruth) Wilt, all of Oh.; numerous cousins, former teammates and many friends. John graduated from Eden Prairie High School in June of 2000, where he was Captain of the Varsity Football and Varsity Hockey Teams. John received academic honors and athletic awards. Visitation will be held at Pax Christi Catholic Church, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie, Mn. on Thursday at 2 p.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial 5 p.m. Burial with full military honors immediately following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the John E. Heinmiller Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o U.S. Bank, 601 Second Ave. S., MPFP 60406, Mpls., Mn. 55402-4302. HOMEWOOD Robert T. Homewood, age 61, died Sunday, April 22, 2001 in Little Rock, AR. Former resident of Columbus. Retired after 30 years in Marketing and Advertising with Burger King, Marriott Corp. and TCBY. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann and devoted son, Jeff and wife, Leigh Anne Homewood; sisters-in-law, Nancy Kingston, Barbara (Terry) Flanagan, Kathy Harmon; brother-in-law, Tom (Mary) Scholl; nephews, Alan, Tom and Steve; nieces, Tammy, Karen, Erin, Teresa and Tara. Robert is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Catherine Homewood Sr. and brother David. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. HUTSON James Harvey Hutson, entered into rest in Santa Clara, Calif., April 15, 2001, age 53. Born July 18, 1947 in Columbus, Oh. Preceded in death by father William Harvey Hutson in 1984 and brother John S. Hutson in 1999. Loving husband of Janet; cherished father of Laura and Andy; caring son of Ruth Hutson Lasure and step-father, Cecil Lasure of Columbus, Oh.; loving brother of Nancy Hutson; caring uncle of Matthew Rosenberg, Joshua Hutson and Jason Van Gastle. Graduated from Whetstone High School and The Ohio State University. James was an Electricial Engineer at Stanford University for 5 years. Previously employed by NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, Calif. Family prefers donations to Stanford University Scholarship Fund.

 Jackson Lola M. Jackson, 92, of Delaware, passed away April 25, 2001 at Grady Memorial Hospital. Born January 5, 1909 in Pritchard, West Virginia to James Morgan Smith and Nanna (Canaday) Smith. A resident of Delaware since 1938, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Delaware, and was a retired teacher from Bellepoint Schools. She is survived by one daughter, Wanda "Doni"  Jackson of Hilliard; two sons, James L. (Sue)  Jackson of Winter Haven, Fla. and Anthony (Claudia)  Jackson of Delaware; 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; one brother, Jay Smith of Wayne, WVa. She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers Charlie, Arnet, and Jennings, and 2 sisters Sadie and Nettie. Friends may call at the BENNETT-BROWN-RODMAN FUNERAL HOME, Delaware, on Friday from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Rev.  Jackson Randle Clifton Jackson, born May 3, 1960, passed suddenly Saturday, April 21, 2001. 1978 graduate of Mifflin High School and a United States Army Veteran. Awarded the rank of Eagle Scout at the age of 13. Employed by Liberty Tax Services. Member of New Salem Baptist Church. Survived by parents, Gwendolyn M.  Jackson and George W. Jackson, Sr. of Columbus, Oh.; sister, Cheryl A.  Jackson of Dallas, Tex.; brother, George W. Jackson, Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M.; loving children, Gwendolyn L. Jackson, Randle C.  Jones Rev. Ammon Ray Jones, age 74, April 20, 2001 at the VA Medical Center in Cincinnati. Employee of the Columbus Convention Center and member of Christian Valley Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school and served as an assistant minister to Pastor Robert Davis. Preceded in death by daughter Lorraine Napier; parents William and Mary Jones; sisters Thelma, Molly, Anna, and Bessie; brothers John and Daniel. Survived by loving wife of 13 years, Shirley Jones; son, Leroy Jones; step-daughters, Shawneise and Cheryl Lunsford; grandchildren, La Toya, Demetria; great-grandchildren, Denaje, Daizon; brothers, William H., James E. KALTENBACH Ruth Kaltenbach, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, April 24, 2001, Westminster Thurber Village. She was blessed with 86 years of life. Born in Corning, Oh. in 1914. Graduate of Corning High School. Attended office training school. Employed by Bank One as a legal secretary for 41 years. Was a One Pass Worthy Matron of the Burma Chapter of Eastern Star, Tables Temple Daughters of the Nile. Worshipped at Hoge Presbyterian Church with her husband until his death and then with her sister at the Hilltop Church of God. Preceded in death by parents William and Lula Jones, husband Floyd "Dutch" Kaltenbach, beloved sister Naomi Raskey. Survived by niece, Ernestine (Alex) Shore of Columbus; nephew, Harry R. KEERAN David A. Keeran, 33, of Lancaster, Oh., died Monday, April 23, 2001 as the result of a motorcycle accident. He worked for Waste Management Co. He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Donna Keeran of Baltimore, Oh.; 3 children, Ashley, Kyle, and Brittany; sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Tim Boucher of Pleasantville, Oh.; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Lisa Keeran of Waverly, Oh.; grandmother, Mattie Tisdale of Gahanna, Oh.; very special friend, Janie Smith; nieces and nephews, Zach, Luke, and Sarah Boucher, Quinton and Marcus Keeran; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Loren and Mabel Durant and Norman Keeran. LAWSON Charlotta Mae Lawson, age 66, of Dublin, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001 at Regency Manor. She was longtime director of Tri-County Kiddie Kollege daycare center. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Wally; daughters, Ruth (Herb) Niehause, Va., Mary Jo (Al) Kenyon, Cincinnati and Penny Gillis, Columbus; son, Frank Lawson, Columbus; grandchildren, Josh, Jerry, Joey, Sandy, Erin, Jesse, Jed, Sarah and Timmy, who loved their Me-La very much.
