KNOEFEL A Mass of Christian Burial for Ann L. Knoefel, 77, of Newark, Oh. will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2001 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with the Rev. Dean Mathewson officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Newark, Oh. Mrs. Knoefel died at the home of her son on Tuesday, April 24, 2001. She was born in Columbus, Oh. on February 14, 1924 to the late August and Catherine (Wernz) Rudman. Ann was a devoted parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church for many years. She was a member of the Fruit of the Vine Prayer Group and the People of God's Love Community. Ann is survived by her 7 children and their spouses, Ellen C. and James R. Cooper of Granville, Oh., Dr. Janice E. Knoefel and Michael L. Berg of Alberquerque, N.M., Charles E. Knoefel of Mt. Vernon, Oh., Thomas F. and Karen Knoefel of Hebron, Oh., Barbara A. and James H. Luttrell of Louisville, Ky., Joseph A. Knoefel of Newark, Oh., Paul V. and Colleen Knoefel of Newark, Oh.; 18 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, William Schubert and Harold Little, both of Columbus, Oh.; sisters-in-law, Catharine Reinhart of Columbus, Oh. and Pat Rudman of Santa Maria, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband Charles T. Knoefel in 1977, 1 brother and 3 sisters. Friends and family may call from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2001 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, Oh., where a Vigil Service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday. LAWSON Charlotta Mae Lawson, age 66, of Dublin, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001 at Regency Manor. She was longtime director of Tri-County Kiddie Kollege daycare center. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Wally; daughters, Ruth (Herb) Niehause, Va., Mary Jo (Al) Kenyon, Cincinnati and Penny Gillis, Columbus; son, Frank Lawson, Columbus; grandchildren, Josh, Jerry, Joey, Sandy, Erin, Jesse, Jed, Sarah and Timmy, who loved their Me-La very much. Charlotta was a member of Tri-County Baptist Church. Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2001 at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 W. Powell Rd. (W. LISTON Charlotte Lee Liston, age 58, of Martinsburg, Oh., Monday, April 23, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Retired Superintendent of Transportation for Hilliard City Schools. Preceded in death by husband Charles E. Liston, father Vernon L. Schmidt. Survived by sons, Richard L. Kirk of Hilliard, Ronald E. (Patricia A.) Liston of Pittsburgh, Robert L. Liston of St. Petersburg Beach, Fla., Jeffrey A. (Christina) Kirk of Columbus, Brian C. (Susan R.) Liston of Columbus; mother, Gladys A. Schmidt of Mt. Vernon, Oh.; brother, Vernon L. LYDAY Harold S. Lyday, 88, of Columbus, died Thursday April 26, 2001 in Doctors Hospital North. He was retired from the Timken Co. Preceded in death by wife Julia (1977). Survived by children, Harold W. (Lois) Lyday, Bob (Delores) Lyday, Janet (Richard) Snodgress, Ken (Carol) Lyday and Glenn (Janice) Lyday; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Wilbur (Jean) Lyday; and sister, Edna Ward. MAXWELL Dianna Lynne "Diane" Maxwell, age 50, of Columbus, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Diane was a professional Pet Groomer at Knapp Veterinary Hospital for over 15 years. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles V. Spohn and Lucille M. Kerns Spohn Waishnora and brother David Spohn. She is survived by her life partner, Steve Zerkel of Dayton; son, Steve (Jennifer A.) Maxwell of Dayton; daughter, Jennifer Lynne (Clint Sahr) Maxwell of Westerville; grandchildren, Kyleigh, Nikki, Christofer, Stephanie and Stephen; step-father, Frank Waishnora of Reynoldsburg; former spouse, Steven (Dale) Maxwell of Gahanna; many friends and all of her four-legged friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2001 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, 614-885-4006. Pastor Mike Petty officiating. MOLL Patrick Henry Moll, 55, a resident of Lancaster, Oh. for approximately 20 years, formerly of Clawson, Mich., died Wednesday, April 25, 2001. Born December 25, 1945 in Lancaster, Oh. Patrick grew up in Clawson and attended the Clawson schools. During his youth he played Little League Baseball. Mr. Moll was a Vietnam veteran and very proud of his military career. He was a tank crewman with the 25th Infantry Division 4th Calvary Army of the United States. He was a specialist and received the Bronze Star Medal in Vietnam and received the award for heroism in action while engaged in military operations against hostile force in Vietnam. Mr. Moll was employed with the Columbus Dispatch newspaper for 25 years and retired in 1997. He was very active in volunteering his time to schools and prisons in helping promote the A.A. program. He was a very generous, good hearted and hard working man who loved everyone. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, singing and dancing. Survived by children, Patrick Moll, Jr. and Michael (Jennifer) Moll; brothers and sisters, William Moll, Sharon (David) Van Leuven, Shirley (Drago) Nenadovich and Butch O'Dell; grandchildren, Dawson Arron Moll and Madison Tomlinson. Preceded in death by brother Robert O'Dell, October 27, 1999. Visitation Sunday 2-9 p.m. at GRAMER FUNERAL HOME, 705 N. Main St., Clawson, Mich., where service will be 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. McGRAW Esther G. McGraw, beloved wife, mom, and grandma, age 66, of Westerville, Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at St. Ann's Hospital. Preceded in death by parents John and Mabel Goodman, sisters Charlotte Lower, Nancy Snyder and Marlene Brown, brothers Howard, John and Arthur Goodman. Survived by husband, Ed.; daughters, Brenda (Fred) Evans, Linda Barber and Chris McGraw, all of Westerville; grandsons, Shawn (Kelly) Dobson, Jason Dobson, Adam McGraw, Tony Barber and Tyler Demeter; sisters, Lenora Meyers, Shirley Dyer, both of Gahanna, Bonnie Wildermuth of Westerville; brother, Robert Goodman of Westerville; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. McQUEEN Mrs. Gloria Jean (Knecht) McQueen, age 47, of Plain City, Oh., passed away on April 20, 2001 at the University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham, Ala. She was born in Elgin, Ill. And was a graduate of the Elgin Community College Nursing Program. She was a nurse for 25 years and had been a Cardiac Care Nurse for many years at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She and her husband had recently moved to Cullman, Ala. She is survived by her husband, John, to whom she was married for 22 years; her parents, Robert M. and Bernice Knecht of Westerville; brother, Robert N. Knecht of Buena Park, Ca.; sisters, Marilyn Cantrell and Mary Hollobaugh of Columbus and Jennifer Schippa of San Diego, Ca.; several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and one great-nephew. Visitation and a memorial service will be held Saturday April 28, 2001 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (* mile south of I 270). Friends may call beginning at 1 p.m. with a memorial service to be held at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Richard Hinkelman officiating. OGG Linda J. Ogg, 53, of Grove City, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2001 at First Community Health Care Center. She was employed by the City of Columbus, Fleet Management Division. Linda also enjoyed ceramics and computers. Preceded in death by her father Charles W. Ogg. Linda is survived by her mother, Doris Jean Ogg of Grove City; brothers, Kim (Valerie) Ogg of Grove City and Philip Ogg of Columbus; sister, Marie Wells of Grove City; and nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where the funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2001 with Pastor Jerry Lewis officiating. PERRY Daniel James Perry, age 7 months, of Dublin, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001 at Children's Hospital. He is survived by his parents, C.J. and Donna; twin brother, Joseph Benjamin, all of Dublin; maternal grandparents, Richard and Martha Bybee of Calif.; paternal grandparents, Rudy and Janet Perry; grandmother, Glenna Perry; great-grandparents, Bernard and Yetta Lynch, all of W.Va.; aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2001 at Indian Run United Methodist Church, 6305 Brand Rd., Dublin, Oh. Rev. James Lillibridge officiating. POTTER James Kenneth Potter, 79, died April 6, 2001 in Seattle, Wash. Born December 19, 1921 in Congo, Oh. He was a WW II Veteran, having served with the U.S. Navy Seabees in the Pacific Theater. Graduate of Otterbein College, 1950, B.S. education. Taught high school in Willoughby. Advanced studies in counseling and administration, Brigham Young University. National President, Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, 1976-1978. Served 19 years in College Administration as Assistant Dean of Men, Dean of Men and Dean of Students at Muskingum College, New Concord. Worked for ITT Educational Service in Columbus, Seattle, Wash. and Sacramento, Calif. as Director of Education and Center Director. Survivors include his sister, Jenelle (Potter) Norland of Columbus; nephews, Eric Norland, Tom Norland and Sanford Potter; niece, Jean (Potter) Williams. Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2001, North Broadway United Methodist Church, 48 E. North Broadway, Columbus with Rev. Jim Summers officiating. Graveside service will follow at 12noon in New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Oh. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of one's choice. CHUTE-WILEY FUNERAL HOME, 118 S.  Jackson St., New Lexington, Oh. is in charge of arrangements.

RUHLING Virginia Ellen Ruhling, age 83, Tuesday, St. Ann's Hospital. Born Virginia Ellen Kuenzli on November 20, 1917 in Upper Sandusky, Oh. She was a graduate of Capital University. Mrs. Ruhling taught music in the Bexley, Granville, and Gahanna City Schools. She also taught at the University School of The Ohio State University. She retired from Burke Sales. Mrs. Ruhling was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Eastern Star and Child Conservation League. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert L. Ruhling; her daughters, Marilyn Schuetz of Valparaiso, Ind., Marcia Ruhling of Athens, Oh. and Mary Gilbert of Cincinnati, Oh.; sons-in-law, Wayne Schuetz and Jay Gilbert. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Casey and Jeff Weitzel, Emily Schuetz, and Christopher Winner. Memorial service Friday, April 27, 2 p.m., Christ Lutheran Church, 2314 E. Main St., Bexley, where friends may call one hour prior to service. Pastor Tom Hudson and nephew, Pastor Timothy J. Kuenzli officiating. Interment will be at a later date. SATTERFIELD Robert "Bob" Easton Satterfield, Sr., a life long resident of Centerburg, Oh., born on March 8, 1934 and passed away on April 24, 2001. He retired from Rockwell International in March of 1990 after 38 years as a Lead Man and Supervisor. He was well known throughout the plant as "Red." Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Korean Conflict. He was a charter and life member of Amvets Post 59, currently a 2nd Vice Commander, former trustee; previous member of the American Legion Post 740, Whitehall V.F.W., F.O.E. and a volunteer for the Fire Department. Preceded in death by parents Elvin O. and Amelia (Crooks) Satterfield; 4 brothers Edgar, Dwight, Donald and Richard; 3 sisters Faye Shepard, Dorothy Torgeson and Bessie Satterfield. Survived by loving wife of 43 years, Thelma (Covrett); 4 loving children, Cheryl (Dan) Brenner of Centerburg, Joyce (Bill) Phillips of Sunbury, Robert, Jr. of Centerburg and Amy (Rob) Young of Dublin; Steve Albanese and John Daniels that were like sons; 5 devoted grandchildren, Linda and Crystal Phillips, Megan and Drew Brenner and Ryan Young; mother-in-law, Frances Covrett; also survived by 3 wonderful sisters, Eileen Pilkington of Marengo, Bettie (Charles)  Jackson of Centerburg and Marianne (Homer) Ball of Delaware; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. SPECHT Thomas P. Specht, 49, passed away April 21, 2001 at his home in Salem, Oregon. He was a Computer Specialist for U.S.D.A. Tom was preceded in death by parents Grace and Howard Specht. He is survived by a son, Sasha; sister, Judy Whalen; niece, Amanda Whalen; nephews, Mike (Gina) Whalen and Josh Whalen; fiancee, Cindy Jones; aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 28 at St. Matthias Church, 1582 Ferris Rd. There will be no funeral procession after the Mass.

TACKETT Berlin Tackett, age 72, of Columbus, formerly of Virgie, Ky., Wednesday, April 25, 2001, Pickerington Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born May 10, 1928 in McDowell, Ky. to the late George and Mindie (Newsom) Tackett. Survived by daughters, Linda (Jim) Clover, Dublin, Rita (Larry) Moore, Columbus, Rose Tackett, Gahanna, Teresa (Don) Rawlings, Carroll; grandchildren, Angela and Quentin Rawlings; 6 brothers; 5 sisters; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Friends may visit 5-8 p.m. Friday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W.
