Member of St. Patrick Church, longtime usher and volunteer for electrical maintenance. Member of Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of the Rosary Council #4180 and St. Patrick's Council. Awarded Family of the Year, 1983 and 1985. Grand Knight Service, 1990-1992. Active member Shamrock Club and Glee Club member. Sergeant, Knights of St. John. In partnership with his friend, the late Clarence Miller, the two built a racecar which won a National indoor, three-quarter midget championship which was televised on ABC Wide World of Sports. Member numerous bowling leagues. Preceded in death by parents Charles and Frances Marcum, brothers Staunton (Slim), Paul, Phillip and Charles Marcum. Survived by loving wife, Margaret (Beresh); children, Sr. Regina Marcum, O.S.F., Donna Dietsch, Vivian Hawker, Felicia (James) Jones, Patrick Marcum and Michelle Dean; grandchildren, Maria Laret, Vanessa Quinones, Adriana McKelvey, Lori Warner, Angela Hildebrand, Moncia Warner, Richard Warner, Jessica Knoblauch, Kyle Marcum, Brandon Dean, Ryan Dean and Logan Dean; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Greenwalt and Miriam Gerlach; loyal companion, black labrador, Baron. MAXWELL Dianna Lynne "Diane" Maxwell, age 50, of Columbus, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Diane was a professional Pet Groomer at Knapp Veterinary Hospital for over 15 years. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles V. Spohn and Lucille M. Kerns Spohn Waishnora and brother David Spohn. She is survived by her life partner, Steve Zerkel of Dayton; son, Steve (Jennifer A.) Maxwell of Dayton; daughter, Jennifer Lynne (Clint Sahr) Maxwell of Westerville; grandchildren, Kyleigh, Nikki, Christofer, Stephanie and Stephen; step-father, Frank Waishnora of Reynoldsburg; former spouse, Steven (Dale) Maxwell of Gahanna; many friends and all of her four-legged friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2001 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, 614-885-4006. Pastor Mike Petty officiating. MILES Richard Gene Miles, age 63, Friday, April 27, 2001 at home. U.S. Air Force Veteran stationed at Rickenbacker AFB for 4 years. Retired employee and supervisor with Advertising Checking Bureau, Inc. after 32 years of service. Also retired in 2000 from DFAS as a contract payment voucher examiner. Preceded in death by parents David and Sally (McMurry) Miles and companion of 30 years Richard G. McCauley in 1993. Survived by best friend, James M. Black of Columbus; sisters, Helen Boyd of Blountville, Tenn. and Bessie Miles of Trenton, Tenn.; nephews, James Bowers, Jr. of Greenville, S.C. and Richard Crawford of Bristol, Tenn.; niece, Linda (Dick Oliver) Berkley of Bristol, Tenn. MILLER Genevieve C. Miller, 95, of Upper Arlington, April 14, 2001 at Grant Hospital. Retired from Columbus Public Schools. Member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Phi Delta Gamma, American Association of University Women, Ohio State University Alumni Association, national, state, and local educational organizations. She was preceded in death by parents Leroy Stanley Miller and Bertha (Rosser) Miller; brothers Stanley, Leroy, Paul, and Eugene; sister Ruth (Miller) Winter. She is survived by house mate and friend, Mary Cummins; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Kathryn (Calvin) Daft of Baltimore, Oh.; nephews, Richard (Jeannine) Winter of Pickerington, Oh., Lynn (Linda) Daft of Annandale, Va., George (Pam) Daft of Baltimore, Oh., Robert (Helen) Miller of Washington D.C., Gerald Miller of Circleville, Oh., Dr. Stephen Miller of Birmingham, Mich., Daniel (Jennie) Miller of Lancaster, Oh., Michael (Sue) Miller, Parkridge, Ill.; nieces, Janet (Harry) Honan of Lady Lake, Fla., Judy (Tim) Hartshorn of Denver, Colo., Lisa (Steve) Thompson of Lancaster, Oh.; several great and great-great-nieces and nephews. MORRISON Eletha Morrison, age 89, of Canal Winchester, Thursday, April 26, 2001, Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was retired from Anchor Hocking in Canal Winchester. Preceded in death by parents John Morrison and Pearl (Radcliff) Morrison Neiswander, brothers Arthur, John, Joseph and Herbert Morrison, sisters Thelma Crosby and Mildred Mowery. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. NICHOLS Marsha L. Nichols, 44, of Kenton, died 3:15 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2001 at Ravenwood Care Center, Kenton. Born April 5, 1957 in Kenton, Oh., daughter of Harold E. and Jean (Gibson) Nichols. Graduated from Kenton High School in 1975, The Ohio State University in 1979 and Franklin State University in 1985. She was a Case Manager for Franklin County Job Family Services. Survived by mother, Jean Nichols; brother Darrell (Marie) Nichols, all of Kenton; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father Harold and a brother Douglas. Visitation 2:30-7 p.m. on Sunday April 29, 2001 at SCHINDEWOLF-STEVENS-STOUT FUNERAL HOME, Kenton, Oh., where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2001 with Pastor James Goldsmith officiating. PERRY Daniel James Perry, age 7 months, of Dublin, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001 at Children's Hospital. He is survived by his parents, C.J. and Donna; twin brother, Joseph Benjamin, all of Dublin; maternal grandparents, Richard and Martha Bybee of Calif.; paternal grandparents, Rudy and Janet Perry; grandmother, Glenna Perry; great-grandparents, Bernard and Yetta Lynch, all of W.Va.; aunts, uncles and cousins. POTTER James Kenneth Potter, 79, died April 6, 2001 in Seattle, Wash. Born December 19, 1921 in Congo, Oh. He was a WW II Veteran, having served with the U.S. Navy Seabees in the Pacific Theater. Graduate of Otterbein College, 1950, B.S. education. Taught high school in Willoughby. Advanced studies in counseling and administration, Brigham Young University. National President, Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, 1976-1978. Served 19 years in College Administration as Assistant Dean of Men, Dean of Men and Dean of Students at Muskingum College, New Concord. Worked for ITT Educational Service in Columbus, Seattle, Wash. and Sacramento, Calif. as Director of Education and Center Director. Survivors include his sister, Jenelle (Potter) Norland of Columbus; nephews, Eric Norland, Tom Norland and Sanford Potter; niece, Jean (Potter) Williams. Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2001, North Broadway United Methodist Church, 48 E. North Broadway, Columbus with Rev. Jim Summers officiating. Graveside service will follow at 12noon in New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Oh. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of one's choice. CHUTE-WILEY FUNERAL HOME, 118 S.  Jackson St., New Lexington, Oh. is in charge of arrangements.

SINE James A. Sine, age 63, loving father, devoted husband and friend died at 5:35 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2001 at Kobacker House in Columbus. He died peacefully with his family at his side. He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne Sine of Columbus; his daughter, Cindy Thompson and family of San Jose, Calif.; his son, John Sine and family of San Leandro, Calif.; brother, Morris Sine and family of Urbana; sisters, Sue Birkhold-Langen and family of Plain City, Jean Denser and family of Columbus; step-son, Andy McDaniel and family of Huntersville, N.C.; step-son, Scott McDaniel and family of Warrenville, S.C.; and step-daughter, Kate McDaniel and family of Augusta, Ga. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 30th at Noon at the Rolling Meadows Golf Course, 11233 Industrial Parkway, Plain City. Please call 873-4567 for directions. SMITH Helen R. (Henry) Smith, born August 29, 1909 in Junction City, Oh., daughter of J. Calvin and Elizabeth Henry, formerly of Junction City, Oh., died Friday, April 27, 2001 of Congested Heart Failure. Preceded in death by husband James E. Smith (a correction guard for the State of Ohio for 37 years), sister Mrs. Anna I. Tharp of Crooksville, Oh. Survived by sons, Richard H. and Robert J.; daughter-in-law, Dianne; 3 granddaughters, Aimee, Elizabeth and Carrie; and a very close nephew, James Tharp of Cincinnati, Oh.; niece, Nancy (Tharp) Watts of Edwardsville, Ill., both originally from Crooksville, Oh. THOMAS Dawn Elaine Thomas, age 45, of Hilliard, Thursday, April 26, 2001 at Mt. Carmel West. Member of A.O.R.N. Nursing Association. A Registered Nurse at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Survived by loving husband of 18 years, John Thomas; sons, Aaron and Andrew Thomas, both of Hilliard; parents, Robert and Leola Elkins of Hilliard; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. WILLIAMS Evelyn C. Williams, age 82, of Reynoldsburg, Oh., passed away Thursday, April 26, 2001 at 9 a.m. She was born to Charles and Mary Colabine in Graysville, Pa. Evelyn was a graduate of The Indiana University of Pennsylvania . She was a teacher of music education and was a founding and active officer of Williams Trailer Sales, Inc. of Reynoldsburg. She was an active member of the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, Director of Junior Choir for many years, Dorcas Women's Society, Charter life member of the Reynoldsburg Civic Club. Life member of the Mid- Ohio Walking Horse Association, and a member of the Reynoldsburg Historical Society. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, J. Evan Williams, they were married August 20, 1941. She will be sadly missed by her 2 daughters, Judy W. (J. Tullis) Rogers and Dayna "Susie" W. (Curt) Barsi; 3 grandsons, J. Evan (Stacy) Atkinson, Jack W. (Kimberlie) Atkinson and Jaren D. Wilcoxson; 3 great-grandchildren will also miss her presence, Charlie, Ethan and Emma Atkinson. Also surviving are sister, Florence Finson, Buffalo, N.Y.; brother, James Colabine, Grand Rapids, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Lula Harnish, Tyrone, Pa. The family will receive friends Monday April 30, 2001 from 4-6 p.m. at the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, 1636 Graham Rd., Reynoldsburg, Oh. Memorial service at 6 p.m. and a dinner will follow at the church. ALESHIRE Harold Eugene "Gene" Aleshire, age 58, of Columbus. Born November 28, 1942, died April 28, 2001. Assistant Lab Coordinator and Medical Technologist for 30 years at Doctors West Hospital. Served 2 years in the U.S. Army Specs. Member of BCCA and NASA enthusiast. Survived by his loving wife, Candace; sons, David, Aaron, Eric Aleshire, and Chad Lytle; parents, Dana and Florence; brother, Gary (Cindy) Aleshire; granddaughter, Ginriche Aleshire; sister-in-law, Cheryl Rinehart (Steve Boggs); brothers-in-law, Dan (Andrea), Tim O'Neal (Nancy); 7 nephews, John Michael, Joe Wilson, Casey, Kyle, Ross and Sean O'Neal, Todd Rinehart (Charlotte); and great nephew, Carlin Rinehart. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2001 at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard. ARLINE A memorial service will be held for Henry N. Arline at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2001 at Nazareth Towers, 300 E. Rich St. Mr. Arline died April 13, 2001 at Grant Hospital from complications following a heart attack. He was a retired copy editor for The Dispatch.
