MILLER "But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions. It is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus." (Ephesians 2:4-7). On Tuesday, February 27, 2001, Stephen T. Miller, age 26, was taken home to be with his Heavenly Father where he heard the words, "Well done my good and faithful servant." Steve was a member of The Redeemer's Church. He was a graduate of Gahanna-Lincoln High School and The Ohio State University (1998). On September 18, 1999, he married Melissa (Wolfinger) Miller. Along with his loving and devoted wife, he is survived by his parents, Richard and Phyllis Miller; brother, Brian Miller; sister, Tracy Miller; grandmothers, Catherine Miller and Carolyn Limina; father-in-law, Ronald Wolfinger and wife, Dottie; mother-in-law, Chari Caton and husband, Michael; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3 at The Redeemer's Church, 1850 Courtright Rd., Columbus, where family will receive friends Friday 6:30-8:30 p.m., as well as one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Pastor Dwight Bennett officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 861-6268.

MUNGER Fay Elwin Munger, a former longtime resident of Columbus, Oh. and a Houston, Tex. resident for the past 15 years, died February 27, 2001. He was 83. Mr. Munger was born September 23, 1917 in Tecumseh, Mich. He graduated from Tri-State College, Angola, Ind. with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He joined Jeffrey Manufacturing Co. in 1939 as a design engineer in the Research and Development Department. In 1960 he became manager of that department which designed coal-mining machinery and in 1978, was placed in charge of all engineering development in a department devoted solely to creating new machinery products for the company. One of his major successes was the design and development of a continuous mining machine. He retired from Jeffrey, which was acquired by Dresser Industries, after over 40 years of service and five patent inventions. He and his wife celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on December 28, 2000. He was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church and The Goodwill Sunday School Class, along with his wife. He is survived by his wife, Helen H. Munger; son, Derek S. Munger and wife, Kathy D. Munger of Houston and their daughters, Amy M. Morris and husband, Tom P. Morris of Washington, D.C., Anne M. Freeman and husband, John C. Freeman and Elizabeth S. Munger, all of Houston; daughter, Debbie M. Collins and husband, Peter C. Collins of Tucson, Ariz. and their daughters, Courtney B. Collins of Phoenix and Melinda M. Collins of Tucson; brother, Lester Munger of St. Petersburg, Fla. Following private graveside services, a memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, March 1, 2001 at 11 a.m. in the morning at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 3471 Westheimer with Dr. James W. Moore and Rev. Ronald R. Morris officiating. In lieu of flowers and for those desiring, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes. Association. GEO. H. PALMER George (Mitch) Palmer, age 63, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center after a brief illness. Preceded in death by brother Gary, son David and brother-in-law Harold Carpenter. Survived by wife, Cindy Ogburn Palmer; children, Deborah Lee (Dan) Moriarty, Cheryl (Jim) Thompson, Jeanie (Pat) Rogers, Rick Meyers, Lisa Meyers, Tammy (Chuck) Miller, Lori (Phil) Jenkins, Mark Ogburn, Jeff (Rose) Palmer and Michelle Palmer; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Carpenter; brother, Larry Palmer. George was a life member of the VFW Post #4044, American Legion Post #535, Moose Lodge #11 and N A U S Club. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St., where the funeral service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. Rev. David Criner officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery.

PARKE Dorothy Parke, age 96, died at Wesley Glen Health Center, Columbus. Former resident of the Claremont Retirement Village and the Sterling House of Westerville. Survived by daughter, Sandra Watkins of Worthington; son, Robert Notestine of Bellefontaine; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Service at EICHHOLTZ FUNERAL HOME, Bellefontaine on Friday.

PASZKE John P. Paszke, age 93, Monday, February 26, 2001 at Winchester Place Nursing Care. Former owner of John Paszke Meat's and Central Market Merchant. Preceded in death by wife Ella F. and sons Norman L. and Ronald L. Survived by sons, Paul (Joan) of Ft. Myers, Fla. and William (Suzanne) of Groveport; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 sisters; 1 brother; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8:30 p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St. Prayer service 7 p.m. Thursday. Friends and family will meet for Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church, 5684 Groveport Rd. (Please note: There will be no procession from the funeral home). PATTON Jane Amelia Patton, born March 14, 1915 in Johnstown, Pa., passed away February 27, 2001. Preceded in death by husband Albert E. Patton. Survived by son, David (Norma) Patton of Columbus; grandson, Scott (Kathy) Patton of Westerville; nieces, Clara Nassir, Josephine Comtess and Helen Henderson; great-nieces, Susan Comtess, Janie Walsh, Katie Walsh, Faith and Karey Comtess; nephew, Gregg Comtess; and many nieces and nephews. PEREL Cecelia Perel passed away peacefully in Somerset West, South Africa on Tuesday, February 27, 2001. The funeral took place in South Africa. Shiva will be observed at 2492 Stafford Place, Columbus, from Friday morning through Tuesday. Deeply mourned by her loving husband, Charlie; son and daughter-in-law, Mel and Pearl and grandchildren Lindsay and Daniel Perel; and loving daughter, Ann and family.

PERROTTA Dominic M. Perrotta, age 83, Tuesday at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Retired Mail Handler for the U.S. Postal Service. Veteran WW II, U.S. Army and recipient of Purple Heart. Survived by children, Donna K. Perrotta (Bob) Rigdon and Candi Perrotta (Richard) Hutchison; grandchildren, Chris (Vicki) Wolfe, Jason (Dori) Hutchison, Timothy Rigdon, Brittany Hutchison; great-grandchildren, Felecia and Chase Wolfe; brother, Tony (Janie) Perrotta; sisters, Adella (Alfred) Capuano of Fla., Sylvia (Ervin) Voit; devoted campanion, Lois Ford; many nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts. PINCHOT Richard Lee "Rick" Pinchot, age 54, passed away suddenly February 27, 2001. Employed with Anheuser Busch for many years and was a former teacher with Columbus Public Schools. Graduate of Youngstown State University, B.A. Preceded in death by parents Michael and Mary Pinchot. Survived by daughter, Jaime Lee Pinchot; brother, James (Mary Ellen) Pinchot of Youngstown; a very special friend, Ellen Underwood; nephews, Brian (Kathy) and Robert (Rebecca) Pinchot; nieces, Rachel and Rebecca; numerous other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be held at the O.R. ROBERTSON Christine Robertson, age 83, Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at Mt. Carmel West. Preceded in death by husband Calvin Robertson. Survived by her sons, James (Mildred), Calvin (Annie) and Jerry (Zelma) Robertson; daughters, Vickie (Waymon) Bailey and Ethel (Joseph) Harvey; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ella D. Primm, Louise Davis and Virginia Ore, all of Nashville, Tenn.; 6 brothers-in-law; 7 sisters-in-law; devoted sister-in-law, Mary Robertson; good friend, Pearl McDaniel; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. ROSS James E. Ross, of Reynoldsburg, died peacefully in his sleep, at home on Wednesday, February 28, 2001. He was a proud Veteran of WW II, having served as a member of the U.S. Army Amphibious Engineers. He retired from Anheuser-Busch after 22 years. He is survived by his wife, Betty; 2 children, Melissa (Wayne) Owen and Mark (Jan) Ross; 4 grandchildren, Nicole, Micaela,  Taylor and Ben; and his faithful cricket-dog. Memorial Service will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, with Rev. Eric Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Mt. RUSSEL Reuben G. Russel, 86, of Mt. Sterling, died Tuesday, February 27, 2001 in Mt. Carmel West Medical Center, Columbus. He was born June 8, 1914 in Newport, Oh. He was the son of the late Greenville Sherman and Minerva Jane (Cordle) Russel. Mr. Russel was retired from Columbus White Motors of 30 years and a member of the Mt. Sterling First Church of the Nazarene. He was preceded in death by parents, wife Eva Russel, January 8, 2001 and sister Levisa Yerian. He is survived by daughter, Debbie (Gerald) Oyler of Grove City; granddaughter, Nicole Oyler of Denver, Colo.; grandson, Zachary Oyler of Columbus; sister-in-law, Carol Nance of Columbus; a niece and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday March 2, 2001 at the PORTER FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Ronald Reynolds officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday March 1 from 5-8 p.m. Family suggests memorial contributions may be given to First Church of the Nazarene, 226 N. Market St., Mt. Sterling, Oh. 43143.

SCHMELZER Mary M. (Baird) Schmelzer, age 80, of Columbus, died on Monday, February 26, 2001 at Columbus Community Hospital. Preceded in death by her second husband Raymond Schmelzer, first husband William Burgett and son Michael Burgett. Survived by her son, Garry Burgett; sister, Phyliss Darfus; brothers, Glen, Lincoln, Jim and Calvin Baird; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral Liturgy 10 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2001 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Entombment Forest Lawn Mausoleum.

SKOGLUND Leonardie Theresa Skoglund, age 87, of 1131 Lake Wellbrook Dr., Athens, Ga., died February 26, 2001. Mrs. Skoglund, a native of St. Paul, Minn., was the daughter of the late Mr. Frederick and Antoinette Wagner Galles. She was the widow of Mr. Gerald Skoglund and was a homemaker and secretary. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the University of Georgia Catholic Center. Mrs. Skoglund was survived by 2 sons, Rick James Skoglund of Athens, Ga. and Michael Jeffery Skoglund of Dublin, Oh.; 4 grandchildren. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 3, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Michael's Church in West Saint Paul, Minn. and burial will follow in Fort Snelling Cemetery in Saint Paul, Minn.
