She married James P. Reardon in 1939, he died in 1977. She was a member of North Broadway United Methodist Church. Survived by daughter, Mary Lou (Jack) Crumley of Reynoldsburg; sons, J. Blair (Patricia) Reardon of Columbus, C. Michael (Stephanie) Reardon of Wooster, Oh., James P. Reardon Jr. of Delaware, Oh. Timothy W. (Sharon) Reardon of Powell, Oh.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral service Monday 11 a.m., March 5, 2001, SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., (* mile south of I-270), where friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Rev. Douglas Shriner officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Park. SMITH Carolyn A. Smith, 73, of Columbus, passed away Friday, March 2, 2001 at her home. Retired from Field Publications. Survived by her husband of 50 years, James W. Smith; sons, Charles T. (Victoria L.), James J. and David A. (Shari L.) Smith; grandchildren, Brian M., Jennifer L. and Nathaniel C. The family will receive friends Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, where the service will be Monday 10 a.m. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg.

SWENSON Robert A. "Bob" Swenson, age 82, of Westerville, died Friday, March 2, 2001 at The Village of Westerville. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Berenice Swenson; children, Penny (Edward) Broge of Mentor, Oh., Karen (Bob) Waldeck of Worthington and Paul Swenson of Westerville; grandchildren, Jason, Heather, Kristen and Jeffrey; and other relatives and friends. Bob was a member of All Saints Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6770 N. High St., Worthington, Oh., 43085, where a Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2001. Pastor Glenn M. Zorb officiating. Interment will follow the service at All Saints Columbarium. If they choose, friends may make memorial contributions to All Saints Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bob's memory. Thompson Peggy A. Thompson, age 63, of Columbus, suddenly Wednesday, February 28, 2001 at her residence. A member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Westerville, Oh., where she was also a member of Daughters' of the King. Survived by loving husband, Doug; daughter, Julianne (Steven R.) Brown; sons, Mark and Matthew Thompson; grandchildren, Jason, Megan and Austin Brown. Peg was a proud head football coach's wife, mother, grandmother and friend. During her life, she was a realtor, bookkeeper, and a member of the Happy Cookers. She enjoyed stitchery and was one of the "Four Foxy Friends From Fostoria." Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew Episcopal Church, 233 South State St., Westerville, Oh. Father Keith A. Gentry and Father Ronald L. Baird officiating. TUCKER William L. Tucker, age 74, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2001 at O.S.U. East Hospital. Bill was retired from Cooper-Jarrett, Inc. He was a member of Teamsters Local #413 and former member of Southeast Conservation. Preceded in death by his parents Elza and Emma Tucker. Survived by wife, Alberta; children, William Jr. (Sandy) Tucker, Robert (Elizabeth) Tucker, Barbara Whitlatch and Patricia (Bill) Spink; 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Mae (Elias) Bailes. Family will receive friends 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 4 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where services will be on Monday at 11:30 a.m. Burial in Obetz Cemetery.

TUFTS Myrtle Inez Tufts, 79, formerly of Middleport, died Friday March 2, 2001 in Grove City, following an extended illness. She was the daughter of Henry and Delilah Hicks of Greenup, Ky. and a member of the Middleport Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Preceded in death by grandson Jason Kent Ortiz, brothers Albert, Carl and Russell Hicks. Survived by husband of 56 years, Elmer; twin daughters, Lawanna Sue (Juan) Ortiz of Grove City and Donna Lou (Lane) Daniels of Rutland; grandchildren, Juan L. Ortiz, III of Circleville, Erek A. Daniels of Middleport and Leah S. Daniels of Athens; sisters, Faye Smith of Wurtland, Ky. and Maxine (Ralph) May of Virginia Beach, Va. A memorial service at the Grove City Kingdom Hall, 4371 Grove City Rd., will be conducted by James McCloud at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 10. Inurnment will be in the Tufts-Holt Cemetery, Wurtland, Ky. WARD John H. Ward, age 64, Thursday, Grant Medical Center. Veteran Vietnam War, U.S.A.F. Member Aladdin Temple Shrine, Blue Lodge in New Hampshire. Survived by wife of 45 years, Mary Ward; daughters, Cheryl Glispie of Portsmouth and Brenda Meek of Columbus; son, John D. Ward of Columbus; grandchildren, Amber Canter, Michael Branda Baker Ward, Michael Eugene LaRosa, Benjamin Glispie, Jennifer LaRosa, Candace LaRosa and Stephanie LaRosa; sister-in-law, Edna Walling; brothers-in-law, Michael (Virginia) Evans and Kenneth (Vicki) Hall; many friends. WILLHITE Ellen E. Whillhite, 75, suddenly Ash Wednesday. Born the first day of Spring in Holsopple, Pa., one of ten children of Carmeno and Marie Bonvenasti Morabito. Survived by husband of 55 years, Silas Allen Willhite; sons, Arthur E. (Mary), Lynn Allen (daughter-in-law, Brenda) and Robert E. (Carol), Columbus, Oh.; grandchildren, Arthur D. (Chris), Arlington, Va., Mark A. (Ellen) Portugal, Trent Allen, Scottsdale, Ariz. and Erika Lynn, Santa Monica, Calif., Carl (Ellie) and Michelle (David), Columbus, Oh.; sisters, Connie Copeland and Janet Mehlert (Don), Wichita, Kan.; great-grandchildren, Katharine, Johnathan, Sophia, Joshua, Joseph and Rebecca; sisters-in-law, Jo Morbitt, Mansfield, Oh. and Katie Morbit, Johnstown, Pa.; 23 nieces and nephews; extended family members and countless close friends. WILLIAMS Avis Williams, of Columbus, died March 2, 2001 at Bennington Glen Health Care Center in Marengo. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist. She is survived by a niece, Brigitta (Larry) Lambert of Sunbury; 2 great-nephews, David Linnabary and Douglas (Sheri) Linnabary, both of Sunbury; great-niece, Jessica (Tim) Goeller of Seville, Oh.; half-sister, Doris (Bob) Rutz of Mich. She was preceded in death by her husband David Harley Williams in 1985 and a brother William Withey. WILSON Steven E. Wilson, 37, of 13763 Reid Rd.,  Jeffersonville, Oh., died 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2001 at his parents residence in Sedalia. Born June 15, 1963 in Washington C.H., Oh., son of Paul E. and Wilma Wilson. Employed by Ross Laboratory in Columbus. Preceded in death by brother John Wilson, 1972. Survived by parents; sisters, Barbara (Mike) Goldsberry, Sara (Pete) Adams and Misty Zaweski; maternal grandparents, Lucille Beatty; 12 nieces and nephews, Josh, Andy and Jill Butz, Heather and Tasha Goldsberry, Jessica, Jacob and Zachary Jewett, Rachel Adams, Brittanay Elkins, Lisa Fairchild and Alexis Zaweski. WRIGHT William Gordon Wright went to be with the Lord March 1, 2001 at the early age of 35. Preceded in death by mother and father Ivy Dean Harper Mitchell Wright and Joseph Edward Wright, Sr. Survived by very special significant other, Jim Griffith; sisters, Carolyn (Andrew) Griggs, Sharon L. Wright, Ruth Oden, Ivy Ferguson; brothers, Joseph Edward Wright, Jr., Gregory L. (Rebecca) Wright, Herbert P. (Anita) Wright; uncles, Jerry Harper, Bruce Harper; aunts, Ann Harper, Shirley Harper; great-aunt, Marion Ramson; host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and a host of cousins. ARLEDGE James Woodrow Arledge, 81, of Columbus, Oh., Monday, February 26, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Retired from The Columbus Dispatch. He is preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Isabelle and survived by daughters, Theresa, Sondra and Drema; son, Bruce; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, William; sisters, Mabel and Dorothy. BALTZ Clara R. Baltz passed away Saturday, March 3, 2001 at Sunrise of Bexley. She was born February 20, 1906 in Marysville, Ohio to the late George P. and Margaret Daum. She was preceded in death by her husband George N. Baltz; son Junior Nelson Baltz; daughter Margaret Baltz; three sisters Ernestine Daum, Lena McCarty and Katherine Heath; four brothers Leonard, George, Gerhard and Ray Daum. She is survived by daughters, Katherine Snow, Denver, Co. and Betty Baltz, Reynoldsburg; sister, Mary Mabe, Powell; brothers, Manuel, Earnest and Harold Daum all of Marysville; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and 2 great-great granddaughters. Her family will receive friends Tuesday 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where her service will follow at 12 p.m. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate. CAREY Clarence W. Carey, age 80, of Gahanna went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, March 3, 2001 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Retired from Columbus Motor Car Company. A WWII Army Veteran and a former member of V.F.W. in Gahanna and Hilliard. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters which were longtime Hilliard area residents. Survived by his sons, Bill, Ted and Dean and their families; and their mother, Della; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. (Sallie) and great-grandson, Charles W., Jr. of Summit, N.J. He was a graduate of Gettysburg (OH) High School. While attending The Ohio State University, he became affiliated with Huntington Bank.
