JOE M. “BILLY” CRAVEN
1923-2007
MIAMI, Okla. – Joe M. “Billy” Craven of Miami passed away Sunday evening, January 7, 2007, at his home. He was 83 years of age.
Joe was born October 30, 1923 to Joseph Henry and Artie Dell (Craven) Hansford in Spurgeon, Mo. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He served as the Flag Chairman with the American Legion and was also an active member of the American Legion Post 147 Funeral Detail. He was a member of the 40 et 8. He worked for B.F. Goodrich for 39 years and was a member of the United Rubberworkers Union Local 318. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. He moved to Miami from Seneca, Mo. in 1962.
He married Vivian McGehee. They celebrated 63 years together, and she survives of the home. He was preceded in death by: his parents; one brother, Everett Craven; and six sisters, Mary, Lella, Delpha, Leath, Verda and Fern.
Other survivors include: two sons, Rick Craven of Grove, Okla., and Kim Craven of Afton, Okla.; two daughters, Deborah Tucker of Springfield, Mo. and Brenda Stewart of Sherwood, Ark.; one sister, Otheda Sartin of Neosho, Mo.; seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, January 11, at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami. Rev. Donald Tucker will officiate. Burial will be at Seneca Cemetery, West Seneca, Okla.
Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post No. 147 Funeral Detail. \
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, at Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami. Pallbearers will be Brad Tucker, Jeremy Tucker, Matthew Stewart, Aaron Edwards, Joseph Craven, and Matthew Crafton. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the American Legion Post 147 Funeral Detail.
Arrangements are under the direction Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami.

RUBY WALTON MICKLEY
1916-2007
AKINS, Okla. - Ruby Walton Mickley, age 91, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2007. Services will be held at the Akins Baptist Church, Akins, on Saturday, January 13, at 2 p.m.
Ruby is survived by: her son Jerry Wayne Walton and his wife Kay; five grandchildren, Greg Walton, Jeff Walton, GuDonna Lee, Sheila Pratt and Kara Nero; 10 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by two half-sisters, Luella Jones and Lucille Renfro and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and scores of wonderful friends.
Ruby was preceded in death by: her son Billy Jack Walton; her grandparents Winchester and Hettie Miller; her mother and father, Martha Dobbs Miller and Frank Miller; two brothers Watie Miller and Troy Miller; a sister Maybelle (Johnny) Mayes; and a half brother Franklin Miller.

FREIDA JO PAGE
1943–2007
KANSAS. Okla. – Freida Jo Page, 63 year-old resident of Kansas, died January 7, 2007 at her home.
Born March 15, 1943 in Downey, Calif., she was the daughter of George M. Young and Charlene Lee Young.
She graduated from Downey High School in 1960, and moved to northeast Oklahoma from California 25 years ago. She married Richard “Dick” Page on November 11, 1961.
She was co-owner of Pages Market in Kansas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, of Kansas, and was active in church activities. She volunteered at the Kansas Medical Center and enjoyed her grandkids, gardening, the internet and Kansas High School basketball.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; and one brother, Rodney. Survivors include: her husband Dick of the home; four daughters, Peggy Kiefer and husband Steve Livermore, Calif., Pattie Barlag and husband David of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Tammy Ford and husband Jerry of Peggs, Okla. and Terri Harrison and husband Tim of Moseley, Okla.; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, January 12, at First Baptist Church, Kansas, with Rev. John Crowley officiating. Burial will follow at Kansas Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 11, at Wasson Funeral Home, of Siloam Springs, Ark.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

NORMAN L. ROBBINS
1946-2007
WYANDOTTE, Okla. – Norman L. Robbins, 60, of Wyandotte, passed into eternal rest at 8:45 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2007, at Freeman East Hospital in Joplin, Mo., after an illness.
Norman LeRoy Robbins was born April 1 1946, in Springfield, Mo., the son of Wilbur and Eula “King” Robbins. Norman had lived in the Wyandotte area over 20 years and was the head of maintenance for the Wyandotte Tribe.
Norman married Julia Marr on February 20, 1974 in Miami, Okla., and she survives.
Additional survivors include: one brother, Mike Robbins of Higley, Ariz.; two sisters, Ada Robbins of Seneca, Mo., and Carol Betts of Hot Springs, Ark.; and one stepson, Bobby Martin of Seneca.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Robbins and one nephew, Shannon Robbins.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, January 12, at the New Salem Cemetery, east of Seneca, under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca.
The body has been taken for cremation.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Seneca R7 School Foundation in care of the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, P.O. Box 380, Seneca, MO 64865.

MARY ELIZABETH “BETH” CASE
1912–2007
MIAMI, Okla. – Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Case, age 94, was born November 1, 1912, and was a resident of Miami. She passed away Sunday, December 31, 2006 at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center, in Miami.
Mary was a secretary. Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church, in Miami.
Burial was Friday, January 5, at Newkirk Cemetery, in Newkirk, Okla.
Arrangements were provided by Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home, Miami.

MAUDE LENORA CULVER
1915-2007
NEOSHO, Mo. - Maude Lenora Culver died January 10, 2007 at Medical Lodge West in Neosho.
Lenora was born December 13, 1915 to Montogmery Lyster and Tennessee (Lewis) Lyster in Newton County, Mo. Lenora married Faye Moss. They had four boys, Clyde, Melvin, Edward and Marion. Lenora then married Arthur Culver in 1968. He preceded her in death in 1998.
Lenora was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Southwest City Mo. She was the owner and operator of the Ozark Café in Southwest City, Mo. Lenora enjoyed gardening and taking care of her houseplants, playing the harmonica, and loved being around people.
Lenora is survived by: three sons, Clyde Moss and wife Janice of Noel, Mo., Melvin Moss and wife Fyra of Seneca, Mo. and Ed Moss and wife Judy of Neosho; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Ada Vandergriff of Neosho, Mo.
Lenora was preceded in death by: one son, Marion Moss; six brothers; and two sisters.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, January 12, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Grove.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, January 13, at the Calvary Baptist Church, Southwest City. Interment will immediately follow at the Southwest City Missouri Cemetery. JIMMIE L. HICKS
1936-2006
PEORIA, Ariz. - Jimmie L. Hicks, resident of Peoria, died Dec. 30, 2006, at his home after a sudden illness. He was 70.
He was born in Florida to Herman and Mattie (Carnegie) Hicks. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed truck driver. He was married to Lorena Hicks. She preceded him in 2001. He had moved to Peoria, from Tempe, Ariz., in 2001. He is survived by: two daughters, Jamie Hicks of Langhorne, Pa., and Jaqueline Bradley of Bristol, Va.; a stepson, James Wells of Peoria; a brother, Herman Hicks of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Catherine Chapman of Indiantown, Fla.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded by a brother, Connie Lee Hicks, and a sister, Gracie Mae Griffin. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at Ralston Cemetery in Afton, Okla. with Rev. Kim Hays officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Adcock Funeral Home in Afton.

OLAN GENE “BUDDY” KIRKLEY
1925-2007
GROVE, Okla. – Olan Gene “Buddy” Kirkley, 81, died Tuesday night, January 9, 2007 at Grand Lake Villa Nursing Center in Grove.
Buddy was born December 27, 1925 at Howe, Okla. to Homer and Eula Kirkley. He was active in his community, and was a member of the Howe First Baptist Church.
Buddy is survived by: four children, Gene Kirkley of Yucaipa, Calif., Debbie Rollins of Grove, Susan Siske of Eucha, Okla., and Bobby Kirkley of Fort Smith, Ark.; eight step children, Bonnie Burrow, Mary Bolin, Tammy Morrison, Larry Sanders, John Sanders, Jerry Sanders, Rick Sanders, and Randy Sanders; four sisters, Virginia Bishop of Plano, Texas, Pat Larke of Amarillo, Texas, Dorothy Palmer of Watsonville, Calif., and Elizabeth Martin of Tulsa, Okla.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Buddy is preceded in death by: two brothers, Fred and Bob; and one sister, Kathryn.
Graveside services will take place Friday, January 12, at Howe Cemetery, at Howe, Okla., under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove. Interment will follow immediately.

COLLEEN JEAN MCNABB
1926–2007
COMMERCE, Okla. – Colleen Jean McNabb, a resident of Commerce, Okla., died Monday, January 8, 2007 at Eastwood Manor Nursing Center, in Commerce. She was 80.
Colleen was born on March 1, 1926 and was the owner and operator of Williams Hardware, in Miami, Okla. from 1971-1989.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, January 13, at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home Chapel in Miami.
There is no visitation scheduled at this time. The burial will be at Ozark Memorial Park, Joplin, Mo.
