Fleta Emma (Tennison) Bolerjack
Fleta Emma (Tennison) Bolerjack, 94, died Tuesday in Shawnee.

She was born March 21, 1907, in Lebanon, Mo., to N.L. (Fate) and Florida America (Simmons) Tennison. In 1910, she moved to Chandler, where she lived until 1984. She then moved to Shawnee.

She married Homer Bolerjack Aug. 18, 1925, in Chandler. She was a homemaker and worked many years in retail sales. She also was a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Shawnee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, two sisters and three nephews.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Anna Lou Bolerjack of Shawnee and Lucille and Doyle Helm of Sterling; one grandson, Mark Lee Helm of Sterling; seven nieces, one nephew and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services are 2 p.m. Thursday in Oak Park Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Matthews and the Rev. Phil Thompson officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Chandler.

Elsie E. Beavers
Shawnee resident Elsie E. Beavers, 89, died Monday in Oklahoma City.

She was born July 5, 1912, in Calvin to George and Martha Dooley. She was raised in Calvin and married Oliver Beavers on March 26, 1934, in Holdenville. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and lived in Shawnee since 1943.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Martha Grace Beavers; two brothers, Richard and Jack Beavers; and a sister, Clara Wood.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Donna Beavers of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren and their spouses, Regina and Terry Holliday of Norman, Rachelle and Robbie Howard of Newcastle, and Rodney and Cindi Beavers of Oklahoma City; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Don Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. The casket will remain open until service time and will not be opened after.

Arrangements are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Joe Devereaux Rutledge
Joe Devereaux Rutledge, 88, of Shawnee died Sunday at a local hospital.

He was born Sept. 18, 1913, in Temple, Okla., to Loranzia Dow Rutledge and Can Zadia (Lockhart) Rutledge.

He came to Pontotoc County with his parents and grew up around Ada and Stratford, attending schools there.

He was a farmer and rancher in Pottawatomie and Seminole counties.

He married Libby Lora Trochta in Nashville, Tenn., on June 4, 1942. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

He had lived in the Shawnee area for about 60 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Libby Lora Rutledge.

Survivors include a son, Richard Alan Rutledge, of the home; two grandsons, Alan Devereaux Rutledge and Cory Taylor Rutledge, both of Meeker; a sister, Chloa Farmer of Ada; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leon Lutts officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

The family has designated Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 7101 Kings Road, Shawnee, as appropriate for memorial contributions.

Lois M. Farrow
Lois M. Farrow died Tuesday in her home. She was 75.

She was born Sept. 4, 1926, in Carnegie, Okla., to the Rev. L.A. and Jewell Haddock.

She married Al Farrow on Sept. 4, 1946, in Oklahoma City. She graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1947.

She traveled with her husband during his Army service as a chaplain. She was active as a chaplain's wife, leading the Protestant Women of the Chapel and the Officers' Wives Club until retirement in June 1974.

Mrs. Farrow was a retired school teacher and librarian. She taught at numerous schools, including North Rock Creek, Fall Lakeview, McLoud and Bethel Schools. Recently, she and her husband were attending Sallateeska Baptist Church, where she assisted in establishing a church library.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Surviving are her husband, Ret. Col. Alpha A. Farrow; son, Craig Farrow, Shawnee; son, Jeffrey Farrow, and daughter-in-law Jodie of Missouri; daughter, Beverly, and son-in-law, Jack Stiles of Pink; granddaughters, Barbara and Jeanette Ice of Pink; and brother and sister-in-law, Leon and JoAnn Haddock of Shawnee.

Memorial services are 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Sallateeska Baptist Church. Memorial can be made to Sallateeska Baptist Church Library Fund, Shawnee Hospice or breast cancer research.

Larry Billins
Larry Billins, 36, of McLoud died Sunday.

Survivors include his parents, James and Margaret Billins of McLoud; a son, Brent Billins of Midwest City; two brothers, Gary Billins and Mike Billins, both of McLoud; a sister, Patricia Crockrell; paternal grandparents, James Melvin and Ruby Opal Billins; three nephews; a niece; and many other family members and friends.

Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel in Harrah. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Asa Smith Funeral Service.

Nelson Huey
Nelson Huey, 82, died Sunday.

Survivors include a son, Donald Huey of Topeka; a daughter, Delta Burnett of Luther; two brothers, Norman Huey of Arizona and Duane Huey of California; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and many other family members and friends.

Graveside services are 2 p.m. Friday at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka, Kan.

Arrangements are being handled by Asa Smith Funeral Service.

Patty Talley
Patty Talley, 61, Shawnee, died Monday at a local hospital.

She was born April 7, 1940, in Mangum to Herbert and Margaret Hazzard. She attended and graduated from Mangum schools and received her LPN at Mid America Vo-Tech in Burns Flat. She received her RN pin from Seminole Junior College.

She was the night house supervisor at Mission Hill Hospital.

She and Ross Talley were married Nov. 19,1977, in Mangum. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ross Talley, Shawnee; daughter, Kim Hatter, Weatherford, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Kerie Williamson, Bartlesville, and Mark and Cheryl Williamson, Broken Arrow; two stepdaughters and their spouses, Jolene and Joel Whitton, Pala Alto, Calif., and Theresa and Larry Sheats, Redwood City, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Casie Walker, Erin Hatter, Amelia Williamson, Hannah Williamson, Elizabeth Williamson, Kaitlyn Williamson and Michael Williamson; one great-grandson, Kaleb Walker; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Smith, Mangum.

Services are 9:30 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Milo Steffen officiating. Burial follows in Resthaven Memorial Park.

The casket will remain open at Roesch Walker Funeral Chapel until 8 p.m. Wednesday and will not be opened at the service.

Joseph Allen "Hippy" Nobert
Joseph Allen "Hippy" Nobert, 20, of Earlsboro died Saturday in Lincoln County.

He was born March 15, 1982, in Shawnee to Earl Joseph Nobert and Pamela Denise (Hill) Nobert.

He attended school in Strothers and Earlsboro and was a lifelong area resident.

He worked as a roofer and framer for various contractors in the area.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include a daughter, Sailor Rae Blue Nobert; his parents, Earl and Pamela Nobert of Earlsboro; three brothers, William Michael Alldredge of Seminole, Donald Ray Alldredge and wife Angela of Meeker, and Jeffrey Aaron Nobert of Earlsboro; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Shawnee. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery in Pink under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Joseph Nobert Memorial Fund at any BancFirst location.

Glynn O. Johnson
Shawnee resident Glynn O. Johnson, 72, died Monday.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Chapel of Tecumseh with the Rev. Clint Dawkins officiating.

Connie Lynn (Ellis) Pittman
Connie Lynn (Ellis) Pittman, 51, Shawnee, died Wednesday.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Sarah Belle (Jones) Hall
Sarah Belle (Jones) Hall died Wednesday at Seminole Medical Center at the age of 90.

Survivors include her brother, Milton Jones of Seminole, and her sister, Loyal Harden of Grand View, Idaho.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Maple Grove Cemetery, Seminole, with Chris Stinnett officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Bertha Myrtle Bierd
Bertha Myrtle Bierd of Seminole died Tuesday at Stroud Health Care Center. She was 94.

Survivors include her sister, Mrs. L.E. Waggoner, Levelland, Texas; two children, Jimmy Bierd, Stroud; Gail McCraw, Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. today in the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, Seminole, with the Rev. Burl Mackey officiating.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee.
