Doris Eubanks Ortman
Doris Eubanks Ortman, 72, of Holdenville died Monday at Boise Manor Nursing Center where she was a medication aide for 22 years.

Survivors include a son, Erick Ortman, of the home; sister, Helen Terrell of Shawnee; sister and brother-in-law, Mable and Keith Wright of Green Valley, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law, Doyle and Carolyn Eubanks of El Paso, Ark., and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Holdenville Cemetery. The casket will be open today for viewing and will remain closed for services. Arrangements are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville.

Walter James Orr Sr.
Walter James Orr Sr., 68, Chandler, died Tuesday in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include his wife Connie of the home; sons, Walter James Orr Jr., Chandler; John Orr, Chandler; Walter Steven Orr, Davenport; Christopher Orr, Davenport; Thomas Orr, Portland, Ore.; Victor Orr, Chandler; Josue Orr, Danbury, Conn.; two daughters, Laurie Schmidlin, Dillon, Mont.; and Evelyn Coronado, Milford, Conn.; sister, Dorothy Cole, North Hampton, N.H.; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many other relatives.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler with Kim Evans officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Chandler.

Harold A. Gile
Harold A. "Bud" Gile of Tecumseh died Tuesday in Shawnee. He was 69.

He was born Oct. 26, 1933, in Seminole to Jess A. and Ruby (Wilson) Gile. He grew up in Seminole and graduated from Seminole High School. He served with the U.S. Army in the Korean War, and was a POW.

He lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Shawnee and had lived in Tecumseh the past 15 years.

He married Teresa Tuttle on May 6, 1973, in Tulsa. They owned and operated Oklahoma Medical Supply for many years. Gile also worked for Halliburton Industries, Transcon Freight and Sooner Supply.

He was involved with Scouting with his son's Boy Scout Troop and he was a 32nd degree Mason with the Red Fork Lodge in Tulsa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Gile, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Rita Gile of Broken Arrow, Mike and Delie Gile of Tulsa, and Brad and Amanda Gile of Shawnee; brother, Ben Gile of Muskogee; grandchildren, Crystal Gile, Anthony Gile, Jonathan Gile and Christopher Gile, and two nephews.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mike Buckley officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Memorial Park in Tulsa.

Dale Abshire
Dale Abshire, 56, of Newalla died Tuesday in Lilburn, Ga.,

Survivors include one son, Roy Dale Abshire of Mt. Home, Idaho; two daughters, Tina Cullum of Paris, Texas, and Mundee Robertson of Lilburn, Ga.; nine grandchildren; one great-granchild; and a niece and her family.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel in Harrah. Burial will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Newalla.

Marian (Wilson) Carson
Longtime Seminole resident Marian (Wilson) Carson, 93, died Tuesday at a Seminole nursing home.

Survivors include her daughter, Norma Jean Cook of Douglasville, Ga.; a son-in-law, James B. Roche of Seminole; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Dewey City Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Barton officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Swearingen Funeral Home.

Clifford Kimery
Lifelong Prague resident Clifford Kimery, 86, died Thursday in Norman.

He was born Sept. 19, 1916, in Prague to Jake Francis and Ethel (Herndon) Kimery. He graduated from Prague High school in 1934. He served in the military during World War II.

After returning from military service, he founded Prague Electric with his brother, Harold, and he worked as an electrician until his retirement.

He was a member of the Church of Christ at Little and a member of the American Legion.

He married Lucille J. Duncan. She preceded him in death on Feb. 17, 1972.

He later married Rachel (McDaniel) Reynolds in August 1973. She preceded him in death on May 8, 1997.

His parents; brothers, Harold and Cecil Kimery, and son, Allen Kimery, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Pam Kimery, Oklahoma City; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Charliene Kimery, Prague; sister-in-law, Margie Kimery, Mustang; three grandchildren, Kristi, Matt and Stephen, and two great-grandsons.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rusty Dawson officiating. Burial will follow at the Prague Cemetery.

Ralph Guier Jr.
Chandler resident Ralph Guier Jr., 76, died Thursday.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Guier, of the home; one sister, Betty Jo Wigner of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and many other relatives.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Chandler.

F.E. Southard
F.E. "Red" Southard, 88, died Wednesday in Seminole.

He was born March 11, 1915, in Omaha, Ark., to Joseph Emmanuel and Alice (Orr) Southard.

He married Alma Kubicek on Sept. 5, 1940, in Okemah. She preceded him in death on April 21, 1988.

He worked as a driller in the oil industry for many years. He was also former mayor of Paden and during his tenure worked closely with the Oklahoma Highway Commission to reconstruct Highway 62.

In 1972, he and his wife moved to Seminole where he opened "Red's Quality Used Cars."

Also preceding him in death were his parents, one brother and three sisters.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Martha Southard, Oklahoma City; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Gary Young, Sudbury, Mass.; grandson, Lee Southard, Moore; three granddaughters and their spouses, Nicole Young, Dallas, Texas; Tracey and Trent Kiesau, Tulsa; and Jamie and Shaun St. Cyr, Moore.; two great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Gladys Terrell, Tulsa.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel, Prague, with the Rev. Paul Heard officiating. Burial will follow at the Prague Cemetery.

Connie Lynn (Ellis) Pittman
Connie Lynn (Ellis) Pittman, 51, Shawnee died Wednesday in an Oklahoma City Hospital.

She was born Jan. 27, 1952, in Shawnee to William W. Ellis and Elaine (Cooper) Ellis.

She was a Shawnee High School graduate and worked first as a dental assistant for Dr. Jack Luman and continued as a medical receptionist for Dr. Gibson for 15 years.

She married Don Pittman on Sept. 28, 1973, in Gainesville, Texas. She was a member of the Evangelistic Center Church.

She was preceded in death by her father; one son, William Henry Pittman, and twin daughters Kimberly and Shellie Pittman.

Survivors include her husband, Don, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Matthew Orr, Ponca City; grandson, Cooper Orr, Ponca City; mother, Elaine Ellis, Shawnee; brother, Bill Ellis, Oklahoma City; two sisters, Shellie Ellis, Greensboro, N.C.; Kim VanDyne, Shawnee; nieces and nephew, Christopher VanDyne, Amy VanDyne, Stefany VanDyne, and other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lillian Robertson and Wayne Hines Sr. officiating.

Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Research Centers, Research Centers for Hepatitis C or Liver and Kidney Centers.

Glynn O. Johnson
Glynn O. Johnson, 72, of Shawnee died Tuesday.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clint Dawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery.

He was born Sept. 28, 1930, in Blanchard to Sanford Glynn and Dorothy Odis (Kindred) Johnson. He grew up in the Bridgecreek community northwest of Blanchard, and attended Bridgecreek School.

After school, he moved to Yukon, where he went to work in the flour mills at 16. He worked for Barrett Brothers Chevrolet and later went into trucking.

From 1957 through 1977, he was a cross-country truck driver for Leeway and Transcon. After a serious truck accident in 1977, he owned and operated a dozer business and was in the bulldozer and dirt business until his retirement. He also raised cattle and farmed in Norman.

He also had lived in Oklahoma City and Tecumseh.

He married Loretta M. Bussey on Aug. 8, 1982, in Tecumseh.

He rode with the Yukon Roundup Club and was a member of Sharon Baptist Church and Teamsters Union. He was a 32nd degree Mason with the Tecumseh Masonic Lodge, No. 69 AF&AM and the McAlester Consistory.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Loretta Johnson of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Jim and Betty Johnson of Azle, Texas, and Nick Johnson of Arlington, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Debra Blampye of Midwest City, Vonda and Kenneth Johnson of Anadarko, Tracy and Mel Gray of Fort Worth, Texas; stepson and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Cindy Bussey of Meeker; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jeff Steele of Meeker; brothers and sister-in-law, Darrell and Janet Johnson of Yukon, Jerry Johnson of Oklahoma City; sisters and brothers-in-law, Chloene and Howard Ballard of Yukon, Phyllis and Bob Wallace of Yukon, Judy and Donald Burkey of Oklahoma City, and Patti and Randy Stone of Oklahoma City; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many other relatives.

Willie A. Lehman
Willie "Bill" A. Lehman, 85, died Tuesday at his home in Konawa.

He was born Jan. 30, 1917, at Sacred Heart, Okla.

Survivors include, a daughter Matilda Silas, Konawa; two sons, Tommy Lehman, Ada ,and David Lehman, Konawa; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. today at Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Chapel.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Matthew Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Pickard Swearington Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
