Paul W. Bennett
Vista, Calif., resident Paul W. Bennett, 75, died Tuesday, April 5, at his home of cancer.

He was born March 7, 1930, in Colony.

He retired in 1995 from self-employment. He served in the U.S. Navy.

Bennett was preceded in death by his daughter, Pattie Rose, and son, Tom Bennett.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Marty Bennett of Vista; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny and Shirley Bennett of Oklahoma, Doug and Kathy Tuttle and Jim and Tina Tuttle all of Vista, Amy Bennett of Washington; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Charlie Webster and Terry and Terry McCracken, all of Oklahoma, and Tracie Gilbert Herrara and Kelly and Fred Rivas, and Rocket Bennett, all of Vista; brothers and sister-in-laws, Dave and Wilda Bennett of Oregan, Elma Bennett of Oklahoma; sisters and brother-in-law, Nita and Todd Joyner of Oklahoma, Letha Paden of Oregan; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

No services were planned.

Donations may be made to Hospice by the Sea, 312 S. Cedros Ave., Suite 250, Solana Beach, CA 92075.

Arrangements are under the direction of Accu-Care Cremation Center in Carlsbad, Calif.

Rheann Rogers
Shawnee resident Rheann Rogers, 63, died Tuesday, June 7, at her home.

Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Walker Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.

Further announcements are pending with Walker Funeral Service.

Herbert L. Large
McLoud resident Herbert L. Large, 76, passed away Tuesday, June 8, at an Oklahoma City hospital.

He was born June 8, 1928, in McLoud to Jewel and Nettie Large. He attended McLoud schools and was the owner of H&F Lumber in Midwest City until his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in McLoud.

His parents; a son, Lawrence Large, and two daughters, Laura Villines and Ella Large, preceded him in death. He married Jackie Lou Trollinger December 5, 1949, in Seminole. She preceded him in death Dec. 26, 1991.

Mr. Large is survived by a daughter, Rita Hale of Lone Grove; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Joan Large of Caddo; six grandsons; three granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jeanetta Sumner and her husband, Don of Shawnee, and Bonnie Kubiak of Oklahoma City, and two brothers, Fred Large and his wife, Ann, of Edmond, and Ernest Large of Temple, Texas.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today at the First Baptist Church in McLoud with the Rev. Ernest Graham officiating, assisted by the Rev. Bill Derrick. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Shawnee.

Billy Joe Collins
Prague resident Billy Joe Collins departed this life on Tuesday, June 7, at his home.

He was born April 10, 1934, in Paden to E.C. "Dooley" and Helen Pauline (Roberson) Collins.

On Oct. 24,1952, he married Willie Pearl Watts in Okemah.

Collins retired from Tinker Air Force Base and was a member of Burnett Mission Church in Paden.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife on Jan. 22, 2002; and his brother, Junior Collins.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Joe Michael and Connie Collins of Prague, and Roger and Jenny Collins of Prague; daughters and sons-in-law, Oletta and Gary Opela of Prague, Charlotte and Ronnie VanBrunt of Prague; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Ida Mae Collins of Paden, and James and Sheila Collins of Eufaula; sister, Juanita Kendrick of Del City; and 14 grandchildren.

Service will be 2 p.m. today at the Burnett Mission Church, Paden, with Brother Paul Heard officiating. Burial will follow at Paden Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Oleta Lorene Banks
Prague resident Oleta Lorene Banks, 86, passed away Saturday, June 11, in Oklahoma City.

Oleta was born Dec. 9, 1918, near Sparks to Johnny Edward and Iona (Booth) Duncan near Sparks. She married Andrew Evans Banks on March 16, 1935, in Shawnee. He preceded Oleta in death on July 12, 1995.

Oleta was a resident of Lincoln County all of her life, a member of the Prague Holiness Church, and loved to quilt.

Her parents; two brothers, James Edward Duncan and Donald Joe Duncan; and her son-in-law, Kenneth W. Fowler, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Andrew and Connie Banks of Hereford, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Sue and Levoy Dukes of Prague, Melva RosaLea Fowler of Prague, Cheryl Ann and Dean Lee of Paden; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Reba Duncan of Norman; sisters and brothers-in-law, RosaLea and Elmer Searcy of Shawnee, Ina Zae and Lee Boswell of Clearwater, Fla; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy made be made to Holiness Full Gospel Missionaries, P.O. Box 2796, Tulsa, Okla 74101.

Service will be 10 a.m. today at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Pastor Stephen Green officiating. Interment will follow at Kellerby Cemetery in Lincoln County under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Wanda Mae Swearingen
Wanda Mae Swearingen, longtime resident of Seminole, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, June 12, at the age of 85.

She was born Jan. 25, 1920, to Della Mae (Wilkerson) and James Andrew Warrenburg at home in the Little Community near Seminole. She grew up in the Little Community with her family who were pioneers of Little.

She married E. P. "Gene" Swearingen Dec. 27, 1947, in Seminole. He preceded her in death Oct. 19, 1997.

She was a graduate of Prairie Valley High School in Seminole County, and received her teaching degree from East Central College in Ada. She was a retired Seminole Public School teacher where she taught third grade for over 25 years.

She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ in Seminole. Wanda enjoyed life, she loved God, her family, gardening, traveling, shopping, and most of all, she loved cooking and having her family over for dinners.

Also preceding her in death are her parents, her brother, Eugene Warrenburg; her sister, Rita Beall; and great-granddaughter, Jillian Quintero.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Terry Swearingen of Seminole; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Larry Waddell of Seminole; one sister-in-law, Frances Warrenburg of Little; four grandchildren, Amie Quintero and her husband, Jason, of Wichita Falls, Texas; Chris Waddell and his wife, Terrie, of Shawnee; Sassy Swearingen and Beau Swearingen of Seminole; three great-grandchildren, Kallie Quintero, Sidney Waddell and Luke Waddell; two special nieces, Donna Hardin and her husband, Jim, of Seminole and Marsha Guymon and her husband, J.Carl, of Broken Arrow.

Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Chris Stinnett officiating. Entombment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Seminole. The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbeares will be Bob Swearingen, Beau Swearingen, Larry Waddell, Chris Waddell, Jason Quintero, Jim Hardin, Scott Williams, James Metzler and J.Carl Guymon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harry Arnhart, Norman Waddell, Hugh Megee, Brent Jones, Mitch Williams, Carl Whitfield, Roy Boydstun, David Post, Mark Adams, Dan Reynolds, Mike Rose and Steve Nelson.

Adele B. Laszlo
Adele B. Laszlo, 89, died Friday, June 10, in Harrah.

Service will be 1 p.m. today at Summit Ridge Seventh Day Adventist Church, Harrah. Burial will follow at Summmit Ridge Cemetery in Harrah under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service Center, Harrah.

Haskel Thomas Brock Sr.
Seminole resident Haskel Thomas "Hack" Brock Sr., 54, died Sunday, June 12, at his home.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harold Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

Robert E. Presgraves
Choctaw resident Robert E. "Bob" Presgraves, 72, died Monday, June 6, in Shawnee.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Gaskill Funeral Home.

Inatha Joan Holmes
Stroud resident Inatha Joan Holmes, 94, departed this life on Sunday, June 12, in Stroud.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Stroud Cemetery with the Rev. Willis Morgan officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.

Thomas David Leonard
Tecumseh resident Thomas David Leonard, 81, died Monday, June 13, in Kingfisher.

Mr. Leonard was born June 23, 1923, in Concorde, N.C., to Fred and Maudie Leonard. He grew up in Rome, Ga., and lived most of his adult life in Tecumseh.

He served in the U.S. Army for five years during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He worked as a carpenter and painter for most of his life.

Mr. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include four sons, Dewayne Baker of Ardmore, Rick Leonard of Norman, Peter Leonard of Kingfisher, and David Leonard of Rome, Ga.; four daughters, Michelle Smith of Norman, Dora Cannon of Frisco, Texas, Sue Ellen Cockerham of Norman and Marilyn Leonard of Rome; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Ruby Swanson, Bert Denton and Fannie Farmer, all of Rome.

Service will be 2 p.m. today at Cooper Funeral Chapel in Tecumseh. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hope Cemetery in Rome.

Danny Kessinger
Earlsboro resident Danny Kessinger, 47, died Thursday, June 16, in Earlsboro.

Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Garland Blocker officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home. Further information is pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home.

Virginia L. Garrett
Shawnee resident Virginia L. Garrett, 76, died Friday, June 17, in Oklahoma City.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dale Cemetery. Further information is pending and will be announced by Smith~Parks Funeral Service Center.

Ida (Seebeck) Modena
Former McLoud resident Ida (Seebeck) Modena, 92, died Wednesday, June 15, in Paden.

She was born July 20, 1912, in Wellston to William and Sophia (Berger) Hodde. Ida attended Wellston Schools.

On Dec. 6, 1934, she married Ernest Seebeck. He preceded her in death January 1976. She married Cecil Modena Feb. 14, 1977.

Ida was a cook at Northwest Classen High School cafeteria. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and had lived in McLoud most of her life.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Carl Sharp of Paden; three granddaughters, Terri Johnson of Paden, Diane Reed of Choctaw, Cheryl Jacques of Newalla; two grandsons, Brian Sharp of Paden, Ricky Seebeck of Harrah; 11 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sophia Moose of McLoud, Alvena Stiebler of Chandler; one sister-in-law, Minnie Louise Hodde of Wellston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service will be 10 a.m. today at the chapel of Walker Funeral Service with Pastor Karen Fowler-Lindemulder officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.
