George Worrell Blaney Jr.
Davenport resident George Worrell Blaney Jr., 76, died Saturday, Dec. 30, at his home near Davenport.

George was born April 12, 1930, in Davenport to George Sr. and Virginia (Clark) Blaney.

On July 9, 1949 he married Mary Smith in Davenport.

He worked as a mechanic, carpenter, welder, and was field superintendent for C.W. Smith and Associates.

George attended the Davenport Assembly of God Church.

Preceding him in death were his father and one granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Blaney of the home; mother, Virgie Blaney of Shawnee; daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Ray Thronesbery of Davenport, Janice and Ken Dill of Wilburton, Marilyn and Robbie Davis of Stroud; grandchildren, Charles and Rachel Thronesbery of Kan., David Thronesbery of Davenport, Debbie and Ben Johnson of Stroud, Julie and Joey Elliot of Texas, Kari and Darren Hulsey of Chandler, Justin Wilson of Stroud; sister, Eloise Flannagan of Shawnee; two nephews, Richard Leivas and Larry Flannagan both of Shawnee; eleven great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davenport Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Williams officiating.

Carroll Reese Bradley
Newalla resident, Carroll Reese Bradley, 56, died Dec. 30,2007, at his home in Newalla.

He was born in Oklahoma City on Jan. 2, 1951, to Leon and Lorene (Campbell) Bradley.

Carroll was an outstanding, loving, wonderful husband, dad, papa, uncle, brother, and friend. He was a great coach who loved to always be a part of athletic events. He cherished his grandchildren. Carroll was a wonderful man who always had a smile with bright eyes and open arms. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. We will never forget him and will love him always.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Carol Bradley, wife of Donald Bradley, from Bridge Creek, Ok.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Bradley of the home; siblings, Ernest Bradley and wife, Pat, of Justin, Texas; David Bradley and wife, Imogene, of Panama, Okla.; children, Kevin Bradley and wife, Renee, of Oklahoma City, Jennifer Herring and husband, Jesse, of McLoud, step-daughters, Tina Watson and husband, Chris, of Bells, Texas, Paula Stewart and husband, David, of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and one step-great-grand child. He also has numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Cynthia Diane Wills
Claremore, Okla., resident Cynthia Diane Wills, 21, died Sunday, Dec. 31, in Claremore.

She was born Jan. 15, 1985, in Pawnee, Okla., to Roy Wills Jr. and Shawna Ponder.

She spent most of her life in Stillwater, McLoud and Norman, but had also lived in Glencoe and Shawnee. She was a 2002 graduate of Norman High School and had recently moved to Claremore. Diane loved ice cream, bowling, swimming and the Tilt-a-Whirl at the State Fair. She enjoyed music and especially liked music by Shania Twain. She had a sense of humor and adventure. Diane loved her caretakers and her family.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Benjamin Ponder; two great-grandfathers, Fred Hoisington and Gene Hughes; and one cousin, Joshua Ponder.

Survivors include her mother and her partner, Shawna Ponder and Kimberly Sloan of Lufkin, Texas; father and his spouse, Roy and Susan Wills of Beggs, Okla.; brothers, Ruell Wills III and Daniel Wills, both of Lufkin, Texas; sister, Sarah Jones Wills of Yukon; aunt, Renee Holmes; uncle, Aaron Dennis; grandparents, Cynthia Lynch of Pond Creek, Okla., and Mary and Harry Dennis of Stillwater and Ruell Wills Sr. of the Philippines; great-grandmothers, Frankie Jean Hoisington of Tecumseh and Edna Hughes of Enid; a host of other relatives and friends; her caretakers, including Keli Flynn of Independent Opportunities, Lola Weber of Able Community Based Wavered Services and J.D. McCarty Service of Norman.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Tecumseh Cemetery. The family has designated United Cerebral Palsy, 1660 L Street, NW, Suite 700, Washington, DC 20036 as appropriate for memorials.

Bernice Bridges
Stroud resident Bernice Bridges, 86, departed this life Sunday, Dec. 31, in Stroud.

On Feb. 11, 1920, Bernice was born in Stella to George and Nina (Weingarner) Fehrle.

Bernice has been a resident of Stroud since 1941 moving from McLoud. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Stroud and was a housewife.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include her two sons, Jeff Burton of Santa Rosa, Calif., John Terry II of Aurora, Colo.; four daughters, Cathy Terry of Tulsa, Barbara Harvey of Stroud, Bette Mount of Tulsa, Mary Montague of Phoenix, Ariz.; three brothers, Raymond Fehrle of Blue Hill, Maine, Phil Fehrle of Long Beach, Calif., Jim Fehrle of Tulsa; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Stroud with the Rev. Sara Bodenstein officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. in Sunny Lane Cemetery in Midwest City.

Chad Bettelyoun
Former resident of Seminole, currently of Hollywood, Fla., died Monday, Jan 2, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., at the age of 33.

Service is Pending under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home, Shawnee.

Randy Lynn Lunsford
Longtime Seminole resident Randy Lynn Lunsford passed away on Saturday, Dec. 30, at the age of 57.

Service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lightening Ridge Cemetery in Roff, Okla., under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.

Wendell Glen Broyles
Lifelong Prague resident Wendell Glen Broyles departed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, in Prague at the age of 64.

He was born Feb. 16, 1943, in Prague to Leonard Abraham Lincoln and Molly Melvira Smith) Broyles.

On Sept. 26, 1965, he married Rayna Florence Moxham in Bessemer, Mich.

Wendell retired from Tinker Air Force Base and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rayna Broyles of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Shawn and Kara Broyles of Prague and Jamie and Shelly Broyles of Meeker; brother and sister-in-law, Gil and Christy Broyles of Edmond; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Royce Shackelford of Tecumseh; grandchildren, Gabrielle and Ethan.

Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Burial will follow at the Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Landscape Fund, Route 3, Box 243, Prague, OK 74864.

Fred Martin Williams
Shawnee resident Fred Martin Williams died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, in Shawnee at the age of 91.

He was born May 14, 1916, in Depew, Okla., to George and Lana (Thomas) Williams.

He married Mary Truelove on June 14, 1947, and they spent many wonderful years together before she died in 2004.

He worked for Phillips Petroleum for 30 years when he retired.

Fred loved to fish.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his parents; and five siblings.

Survivors include his cousin, Peggy Blackwell and husband, Bill, of Shawnee; sister-in-law, Peggy Williams; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at New Hope Cemetery, Meeker, with DeWayne Thomas officiating.

C. Elwyn Casteel
Tecumseh resident C. Elwyn Casteel died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at the age of 70.

He was born Jan. 20, 1937, in Prague to John and Berniece (Pickett) Casteel. He attended Meeker Schools and graduated from Dale High School in 1954.

On Oct. 15, 1956, he married Frances Alene Dunbar in Riverside, Calif.

Following graduation he worked for Springer Lumber, then Marquis Furniture and Sylvania in Shawnee, then Worthington Pump Shawnee and retired from Wolverine Tube-Shawnee in February 1999.

Elwyn was a very loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather. His family and friends were important to him. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. He was an avid bowler and President of his Friday Traveling league. He liked to fish and go camping. He was a volunteer at Unity North Hospital and a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife; son, John Glenn Casteel; and sister, Wanda B. Vroman.

Survivors include his children, Don and Josephine Casteel of Tecumseh, Cathy and Rick Hall of McLoud, Crystal and Ron Stevenson of Shawnee; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bob Dugger of Shawnee; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ruby and Jack Waldrop of Meeker, Ann Thompson of Tecumseh, Eddie and Mike Penisten of Shawnee, and brother-in-law, Victor Vroman of Phoenix, Ariz.; many nieces and nephews.

Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Matthews and Larry Goins officiating. Burial will be Resthaven Memorial Park.

Elma Bell Lambert
Meeker resident Elma Bell Lambert, formerly of Shawnee, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, in Meeker at the age of 98.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, Resthaven Memorial Park with Darrell Witten officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Donetta McGann
Tecumseh resident Donetta (Sparks) McGann, 43, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, in Oklahoma City.

Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
