Darrell Richard McBride
Edmond resident Darrell Richard McBride, 73, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, in Edmond.

On July 20, 1933, he was born in Colby, Kan. to Carl Admir and Margaret Delores (McGuire) McBride.

Darrell grew up in Nebraska and later moved to Missouri. He came to Oklahoma following his military service. He had lived in Edmond for the past 40 years.

On March 27, 1966, he married Darlene Northcutt in Durant.

Darrell served for four years (from 1952 to 1956) in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 1995 after 34 years of service. He was an avid fan of OU Football and enjoyed making bird houses.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bill McBride and Keith McBride; and a brother-in-law, Johnny Harris.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene McBride of the home; six children and their spouses, Dalina and David Reynolds of El Reno, Vicky and Joe Webster of Moore, Leland and Heidi Gale of Kansas, Teresa and Tim Kennemer of Edmond, Cathy and Rudy Woodard of Louisiana, Cheryl and Steve Wines of Shawnee; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two brothers and their spouses, Roland and Joan McBride of Grove, Merrill and Phyllis McBride of Shawnee; one sister, Margie Harris of Drumright; several nieces and nephews.

Service will be 2 p.m. today at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ed McCreary, pastor of Providence Baptist Church in Moore, officiating. Burial will be at Brown Cemetery.

Leland Alfred Bancroft
Former Seminole resident Leland Alfred Bancroft, 79, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, in Ventura, Calif.

Graveside service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Michael T. Jackson
Tecumseh resident Michael T. Jackson, 55, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at Unity Health Center.

Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Immanuel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Nancy Swedberg
Shawnee resident Nancy Swedberg died Thursday, Jan. 17, in an Oklahoma City hospital at the age of 65.

Services are pending and will be announced by Walker Funeral Service.

Shirley Sandmann
Tribbey, Okla., resident Shirley Sandmann died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, in Ada at the age of 71.

Services are pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Jon Michael Sullivan
Richardson, Texas, resident Jon Michael Sullivan, 24, died Monday, Jan. 15, in Richardson.

He was born Sept. 5, 1982, in Plano, Texas, to Terry D. and Krisandra "Sandy" (Rozas) Sullivan.

Jon was preceded in death by his grandmother, J. Noretta Sullivan.

Survivors include his parents of the home; one brother, Kyle William Sullivan, stationed in Yuma, Ariz.; grandparents, Don E. Sullivan of Shawnee, Joe and Shirley Rozas of Porter, Texas; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Service will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Sparkman Funeral Home, 1029 S. Greenville Ave., Richardson, Texas (972) 238-7855.

Memorials can be made to Texas Scottish Rites Hospital for Children in Dallas.

Earl Martin Drury
Earl Martin Drury departed this life Wednesday, Jan. 17, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 66.

Earl was born Dec. 29, 1940, in Bartlesville to Linville Bartlett and Irma Francis (Tull) Drury.

He lived in Prague most of his life and graduated from Prague High School with the Class of 1959. He was a sales representative for Shepard Oil Company, a member of the Elks Lodge in Shawnee and a member of the OOMPA.

On April 2, 1960, he married Linda K. Friend in Prague.

Preceding him in death were his father and an infant daughter.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Linda K. Drury of the home; daughter, Tammy Mayfield of Prague; sons and daughters-in-law, Russell and Teresa Drury of Prague and Kenny and Angela Drury of Prague; mother, Irma Drury of Oklahoma City; brother, Lynn Drury of Moore; sister and brother-in-law, Lynelle and Jim Driskill of Moore; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Mayfield of Colorado Springs, Jennifer Cheatwood of Prague, Sherri Mayfield of Prague, Kenneth Drury of Prague, Nathan Drury of McGuire AFB, N.J., Jaclyn Duvall of Prague, and Kelsey Drury of Prague; two great-grandchildren, Rayonna Mayfield of Prague and Denver Duvall of Prague.

Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons and the Rev. Kevin Wehrli officiating. Burial will follow at the Prague Cemetery.

Edgar L. Kneisel
Edgar L. Kneisel, 84, passed away Saturday, Jan. 13, in Santa Rosa, Calif.

He was born March 16, 1922, in Seminole County, Okla.

Mr. Kneisel served in the U.S. Navy for four years.

Sixty-four years ago he married Mary K. Reeder. He worked for Chevron refinery for 32 years. They moved to Calistoga, Calif., in 1988.

Edgar was preceded in death by a brother, Q. George Kneisel.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Calistoga; four daughters, Gwen Aylor and her husband, Jerry, of Oklahoma City, Linda Nichols and her husband, David, of Calistoga, Calif., Winona Ford and her husband, Chuck, of Spring, Texas, Marsha Derrer and her husband, Michael, of El Cerrito, Calif.; son, Greg Kneisel and his wife, Marlene, of Grey Eagle, Calif.; a brother, the Reverend and Mrs. Harvey Kneisel of Pearland, Texas; two nephews, Johnny and Michael Kneisel, both of Shawnee; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Service will be noon today at Inspiration Chapel & Napa Valley Memorial Park, 2383 Napa Vallejo Highway, Napa, Calif. Visitation was held Thursday.

Leah Ann Larney Presley
Former Seminole resident Leah Ann Larney Presley, 49, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, at her home in Buffalo, Mo.

She was born Dec. 3, 1957, in Seminole to Alex Larney Sr. and Balerine (Lasley).

She was a home health care provider and a member of the Seminole Tribe. Leah was baptized in the Methodist Hitchite Church in Seminole.

Preceding her in death were her father and one brother, Alex Larney Jr.

Survivors include her mother, Balerine Lasley of Shawnee; two daughters, Ladina Larney of Shawnee and Christi Stone of Maud; four sons, Michael Stone of Springfield, Mo., Joseph Stone of Springfield, Mo., Andrew Stone of Aurora, Mo., and Matthew Stone of Springfield, Mo.; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Harjo of Shawnee, Teresa Larney of Konawa, and Deborah Toney of Shawnee; one brother, Tim Larney of Franklin, Ill.; step-mother, Mary Larney of Konawa; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

Service will be 2 p.m. today at the home of Balerine Lasley, 216 W. 35th, Shawnee, Okla. Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Josie Blythe
Tecumseh resident Josie Blythe died Wednesday, Jan 17, in Tecumseh at the age of 90.

Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Father John Norvell officiating. Burial will be at Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Techumseh.

Other information is pending and will be announced.

Clyde Stallings Jr.
Durant resident Clyde Stallings Jr., died Wednesday, Jan. 17.

Service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Coffey Murray Funeral Home Durant.

William "David" Bacon
Newalla resident William "David" Bacon died Thursday, Jan. 18, in Newalla at the age of 61.

Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah.

Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah.

Vera Mae Kerby-Snawder
Lifelong resident of Lincoln County Vera Mae (Tower) Kerby-Snawder departed this life on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, in Prague at the age of 87.

Vera was born on March 22, 1920, in Sparks, Okla., to Charles Edward and Maggie Jane (Sturmon) Tower.

She worked for Parks Brothers Funeral Service for many years. Vera was a member of the First Baptist Church in Prague and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by three husbands, Charles Edgar Kerby, Vernon Collins, and Elden Snawder; her parents; one brother; and one sister.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Dianne Kerby of Prague; grandchildren and their spouses, Skyler and Sandy Kerby of Houston, Texas and Chad and Vineta Kerby of Stroud; great-grandchildren, Kelby, Wyatt, Cody, and Abby Kerby; sister, Charlene Cox of Prague.

Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, at the First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Burial will follow at the Prague Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Charles Henry (Jack) Jackson
Odessa, Texas, resident Charles Henry (Jack) Jackson, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008.

Service was held Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at the Antioch Christian Church. Don Fankhauser officiated the service.

Arrangements were under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home of Odessa, Texas.
