Mark S. Ramsey
Shawnee resident Mark S. Ramsey, 51, died Saturday, Mar. 24, at Unity North due to a heart attack.

He was born Nov. 25, 1955, in San Diego, Calif.

Mark was married Aug. 14, 1982, in California to Pennie Carlson.

He dedicated more than 30 years of his life to the U.S. Coast Guard and retired as Senior Chief.

Mark was a devoted husband; compassionate father; magnificent grandfather; thoughtful uncle, son and brother; and a friend to all. He was an avid outdoorsman who filled his life and the lives of others with immense joy and love. He will be missed by all of his family and friends2.

Survivors include his soul-mate and wife, Pennie Ramsey; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Dean Luczynski and their children Marisa, Jessika and Masen; and Carrie and Rick Larson and their sons Colten, Chase and Jaxon.

Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Shawnee with pastor Tim Youmans officiating. Mark will receive military honors for his service in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Prentis Tilman Adolphus McCord Jr.
Shawnee resident Prentis Tilman Adolphus McCord Jr. died Wednesday, Mar. 28, in a local hospital at the age of 66.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery with Bro. Bill Matthews officiating.

Arrangements are under the directon of Walker Funeral Service.

The Rev. R. Scott Baird
Edmond resident the Rev. R. Scott Baird, 90, died Wednesday, Mar. 28, in Edmond.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Sunnyside Cemetery, North of Meeker.

Arrangements under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Noah James Shirey
Shawnee resident Noah James Shirey, 25, died Thursday, Mar. 22, in California.

Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday atHighland Church of Christ with Larry Goins officiating.. Burial will be at Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Other information is pending and will be announced.

Geneva Yoesting
Ada resident Geneva Yoesting, 85, passed away Monday, Mar. 26, at Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada.

Ada service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home in Ada with Mr. Ollie Phillips officiating. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. Friday at the Tecumseh Cemetery in Tecumseh with Mr. Jim Gurley officiating.

Arrangements under the direction of Smith-Phillips Funeral Home, Ada.

Dorothy Mae Dickerson
Dorothy Mae Moneypenny Dickerson, 70, Shawnee, died Thursday at a Midwest City hospital.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Christy Dickerson, Cromwell; a daughter, Barbara McGehee, Oklahoma City; four grandchildren; two brothers, Tommy Moneypenny of Cromwell and Roy Moneypenny of Fairview, Okla.; and two sisters, Margaret Fincher of Euba City, Calif., and Lucille Wiggins of Mazolla, Mont.

Services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday at Fairview Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Birdwell officiating. Burial will follow at the Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearington Funeral Home in Seminole.

Larry Arthur Gray
Larry Arthur Gray, 35, of Bonham, Texas, died Saturday in Mt. Vernon, Texas.

Survivors include his father, Michael Epling of California; mother, Helen Barendret of Baldwin Park, Calif.; two brothers, Michael Gray of Chicago, Ill., and Kenny Gray of Palermo, Calif.; sister, Annette Hayduke of Las Vegas, Nev.; and grandmother, Esther Martinez of Las Vegas, Nev.

Services will be 11 a.m. today at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Bonham with the Rev. Mickey Kieth officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery near Ivanhoe under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.

Billy Luckett
Longtime Chandler resident Billy George Luckett died Thursday in Sulphur. He was 70.

Surviving are three sons, Henry Hensley of Harrah, Mark Hensley of Boise City, Okla., and Kerry Paul Hensley of Moore; two daughters, Gale Moore of Sparks and Theda Luckett of Los Angeles, Calif.; 26 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the White Dove Cemetery in Sparks with the Rev. Elmore officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Chandler.

Sterling Lee Waldron Jr.
Sterling Lee Waldron Jr., 44, of Manakotak, Alaska, died March 20 in Anchorage.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Church of Christ, Tecumseh, with Bob Anderson of Highland Church of Christ and Kay Smith of St. Mark's United Methodist Chuch of Shawnee officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Other information is pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home.

Geneva Rea Moore
Shawnee resident Geneva Rea Moore, 74, died Sunday, March 27, at her home.

She was born Dec. 12, 1930, in Rea Valley, Ark., to George Allen and Ruby (Rea) Loman.

She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1948.

She was married Aug. 2, 1953, in Shawnee to Harold Moore.

Moore lived in Shawnee most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Temple Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Roy Loman.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Moore of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Teddy and Dottie Moore of Success, Mo., and Terry and Scarlet Moore of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Lucian and Wanda Loman of Fayetteville, Ark.; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Robert Ramsey of Grandview, Mo.; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Loman; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mike Craig officiating assisted by Ted Moore. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service of Shawnee.

Johnny Woods Jr.
Asher resident Johnny "Jay" Woods, Jr., 27, died Sunday, March 27, in Asher.

He was born Dec. 12, 1977, in Oklahoma City to Johnny Lee and Angela (Witt) Woods.

He was married July 12, 2003, in Oklahoma City to Lisa (Kile) Woods.

Woods was a diesel mechanic. He lived in the Byars, Konawa and Asher area most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bud Witt and Bill Woods.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Woods of Asher; son, Takoda Lynn Ray of Asher; daughter, Taylor Nicole Ray of Asher; parents, Angela and Danny Strawn of Oil Center, and Johnny Lee and Vicki Woods Sr. of Prague; four brothers, Mickey Woods and Jachin Woods of Prague and Nathan Strawn and Christian Strawn of Oil Center; one sister, Ashlee Strawn of Oil Center; grandparents A.J. and Juanita Moore of Konawa and Jewell Woods of Midwest City.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Pentecostal Holiness Church in Oil Center with the Rev. Farron Oliver officiating. Burial will be a Maxwell Cemetery under the direction of Pickard Funeral of Stratford.

Vernon Ross Tebe
Seminole resident Vernon Ross Tebe, 31, died Saturday, Mar. 26, in his home.

Wake service was held Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at God's Glory Temple with Buddy Harjo and Hershal Davis officiating. Burial will be at Tebe Cemetery in Sasakwa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City.

Service is under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah.

Virgie P. Miller
Chandler resident Virgie P. Miller died Friday, March 30, at the age of 93.

Service is pending with Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Chandler.

Nellie A. Davis
Shawnee resident Nellie A. Davis, 70, died Wednesday, March 28, in Shawnee.

Service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Bro. Quincy Hammons and Bro. Harold Hammons officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery.

Arrangements under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
