Former Tecumseh resident Robert "Bob" David Dent, currently of the Antlers area, died Thursday, April 12, in Dallas.

Graveside service was held Monday, April 16, in Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Mills-Coffey Funeral Home, Antlers.

Monroe Shirey
Macomb resident Monroe Shirey died Sunday, April 15, in Macomb at the age of 76.

Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Lakeview Church of Christ with Steve Mills and Ben Glover, minister of Lakeview Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be at Prairie View Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Opal L. McCallie
Stroud resident Opal L. McCallie died Saturday, April 14, in Stroud at the age of 88.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel, Stroud.

Service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Assembly of God, Stroud, with Don Wilburn officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Highland Cemetery, Okemah under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Stroud.

Edward Donald Coleman
Longtime Asher area resident Edward Donald Coleman passed away Saturday, April 14, in Konawa at the age of 78.

He was born on Aug. 12, 1928, in Asher to Ed and Crissie (Henderson) Coleman.

He married Patsy Sue (Orr) in Purcell. She preceded him in death on March 7, 2006.

Mr. Coleman was a heavy equipment operator in construction and the oilfield. He also ran a motor grader for Pottawatomie County.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wallace Coleman.

He is survived by one son, Kenneth Coleman of Konawa; one daughter, Dawnna Brittain of Ada; one brother, Gene Coleman of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, at Vista Cemetery, west of Konawa.

LaVada M. Robertson
Lifelong Seminole County resident LaVada M. Robertson, 81, died Saturday, April 14, at Seminole Medical Center.

Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. today at Wolf Cemetery, south of Seminole, with the Rev. Steve Cline officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Kenneth Farrington, Minnie Farrington
Macomb residents Kenneth Farrington, 91, died Friday, April 13, and Minnie Farrington, 96, died Saturday, April 14, in Shawnee.

Kenneth was born Nov. 1, 1915, in Prague to George Leroy and Hazel (Milligan) Farrington.

Minnie was born Oct. 23, 1910, in Lincoln County to Octavious and Margaret (Anderson) Smith.

They both grew up in the Tecumseh area.

On July 19, 1934, they were married in Tecumseh. Following their marriage they lived in Oklahoma City from 1941 to 1961. They then moved to the Macomb area where they farmed and raised cattle.

Kenneth served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked in the oil field as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the American Legion Hill Huett Post 260 of Tecumseh. Kenneth enjoyed gardening and farming.

Minnie was a homemaker. She was a Citizen Potawatomi Tribal member and an original member of the Potawatomi Pow Wow Club. She enjoyed canning, flower and vegetable gardening and sewing.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Minnie was preceded in death by Kenneth on April 13, her parents, seven brothers and one sister.

Survivors include their daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and James Cribbs of Del City; two grandsons and spouses, Larry and Gigi Cribbs of Midwest City, and Michael and Donna Cribbs of Del City; granddaughter and spouse, Penny and Eric Burt of Broken Arrow; six great-grandchildren, Jacob, Brent, Adam and Heath Cribbs, Naomi Cribbs and Jessica Burt; many nieces and nephews.

Kenneth also is survived by a brother, Wayne Harrington of Newhall, Calif., and two sisters, Louise Jarvis of Norman and Kitty Henderson of Round Rock, Texas.

Service will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Darrell Witten officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery.

John C. Anderson Jr.
John C. Anderson Jr., 62, died Friday, April 6, 2007, at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas.

He was born July 18, 1944, in Henderson, Texas, to J. Clifton Anderson and Mary Katherine (Moss) Anderson.

John graduated from The University of Oklahoma and practiced as a clinical social worker in Oklahoma and Texas, after being affiliated with the Dr. Pepper Bottling Company in Shawnee. While in Shawnee he was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

John is survived by immediate family members, son, Paul Anderson of Austin, Texas, and sister, Dr. Mary Ann Mullican of Dallas, Texas, in addition to extended family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held in Henderson at a later date. Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

Carrol L. Draper
Noble resident Carrol L. Draper died Monday, April 16, in Shawnee at the age of 64.

Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Bob Trousdale officiating.

Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh is directing arrangements.

Teresa Elizabeth "Betsy" Dale
Stillwater resident Teresa Elizabeth "Betsy" Dale, 32, died Sunday, April 17, in Stillwater.

Rosary will be 7 p.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stillwater.

Service will be 10 a.m. today at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Kenneth Harder officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater under the direction of Strode Funeral Home .

Timmy "Timpa" Dickinson
Timothy Edward Dickinson, 55, died Saturday, April 16, at Unity North Hospital in Shawnee.

He was born Oct. 16, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio, to Elmer Dickinson and Roalie (Scheidt) Dickinson.

He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1967. He was a self-employed contractor and entrepreneur. Timmy served in the U.S. Marine Corp. Reserves. He enjoyed fishing and cooking gourmet dinners for his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Michael and John Dickinson; two nephews, Danny Dickinson and John Patrick Dickinson, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Joann Bryan of the home, brothers and sister, Carl Dickinson and wife, Andrea, of Baltimore, Md., Ann Dickinson of Shawnee and Mark Dickinson and wife, Shirley, of Shawnee; sisters-in-law, Laury Dickinson of Murphy, N.C. and Cathy Dickinson of Mt. Vernon, Mo.; step-daughters, Autumn Enochs and Amber Bryan; step-grandson, Chance Enochs; nieces and nephews, Cris and Brian Barry, Jay and April Dickinson, Andrew and Brandy Dickinson, Jason and Kevin Dickinson all of Shawnee, Stacey and Brian Root, Erik and Heather Dickinson all of Colorado, Jimmy and Lance Dickinson of Missouri, and Wes Dickinson of Oklahoma City; numerous great nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be 6 p.m. today at Gaskill Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Rick Brakebill
Former Shawnee resident Rick Brakebill, 39, died Wednesday, April 13, in Norman.

Brakebill was born to Nick and Linda Brakebill March 31, 1966 in Shawnee.

After graduating from Shawnee High School in 1984, Brakebill attended Okmulgee Tech and was employed in building construction. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, James and Margie Brakebill and Raymond and Barbara Smika.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Linda and Wayman Cook of Shawnee; sister and brother-in-law Scarlett and Sean Talbot of Oklahoma City; three great-aunts, Ruth McGuffee of Del City, Jenni Johnson of Grandbury, Texas, and Betty Clem of Shawnee; two nephews; several cousins; and a host of friends.

Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Father Maurus Jaeb, O.S.B., officiating. Walker Funeral Service will handle burial at Calvary Cemetery.

Clessie M. Plumlee
Clessie M. Plumlee, 82, left this life to be with her Lord and Savior on April 16, 2005, with her son, his wife and close family at her side.

Clessie was born on Dec. 10, 1922, in Seminole to Boyd and Minnie P. (Brown) Willis.

The things she did best in life were taking care of her husband, her son and family. Clessie will be greatly missed by everyone she touched throughout life. Alzheimer's took her memory, but not her sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Hazel Hale.

She leaves lasting memories with her husband, Clifford Plumlee, of the home; one son, Ken Plumlee and wife, Evelyn; grandchildren, Lisa and Dr. Jay Ernst, Marc and Mari Plumlee, Duane Cranford, Becky Blindaur, Jennifer Gutierrez, Andy and Teresa Delgado, and Nicholas Legler; great-grandchildren, Ashley Ernst, Aiden Plumlee, Angela Gutierrez, Krystal Gutierrez, Victoria Gutierrez, Galvin Delgado, and Gabriel Delgado.

Service to celebrate Clessie's life will be held 2 p.m. today at Vondel L. Smith South Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery, Seminole.

Vonde Smith/South is directing arrangements.
