Charlee Angel Wright
Former Maud resident Charlee Angel (aka Loretta Charlene) died Thursday, April 5, at the age of 61.

Memorial service will be 6 p.m. Saturday at 2900 W. Hwy 22, Corsicana, Texas.

Danny F. Jones
Shawnee resident Danny F. Jones, 48, died Sunday, April 17, in Eufaula.

He was born May 26, 1956, in Oklahoma City to Jesse and Ima Jones.

He grew up in the Oklahoma City area and graduated from Bethel High School in 1975. He went to work shortly after high school at a variety of jobs until he began working for Oklahoma Natural Gas in 1977.

He was married in 1977 to Brenda, his first wife and mother of his children. He later married Diane in 1988.

He enjoyed relaxing at Lake Eufaula with his dog Jake. He also enjoyed working with his hands on anything that needed to be fixed.

He was preceded in death by his father on Oct. 26, 2004.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Jones, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, David and Tara Jones of New York, N.Y.; daughter, Andrea Jones of Norman; stepsons, Justin Bowles of Stillwater and Keith Bowles of Shawnee; mother, Ima Jones of Tecumseh; sister, Kathy Parker of Yukon; niece, Amanda Smith of Oklahoma City; numerous other relatives.

Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Chapel of Walker Funeral Service. Burial will be 2 p.m. at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Pleas William Sutton
Former Shawnee resident Pleas William Sutton, 75, died Monday April 18, in Wichita, Kan.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Southwest Baptist Church in Wichita, Kan. Burial will follow at El Paso Cemetery in Derby, Kan.

A memorial is established with Southwest Baptist Church.

Smith Mortuary of Derby, Kan. is directing arrangements.

Cathryn L. Waller
Spencer resident Cathryn L. Waller, 73, died Saturday, April 16, at Baptist Medical Center.

Memorial service will be 7 p.m. Thursday at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church at 700 N. Air Depot in Midwest City under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home of Oklahoma City.

Paul Day
Shawnee resident Paul Day, 73, died Saturday, April 16, at a local nursing home.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the home of Rosa Lee Day. His ashes were buried at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Evelyn Darlene Anderson
Seminole resident Evelyn Darlene Anderson, died Saturday, April 16, in Seminole at the age of 43.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Paden Cemetery with the Rev. Brett Allen officiating.

Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague is directing arrangements.

Reetha Mae Chase
Longtime Seminole resident Reetha Mae Chase, 88, died Monday, April 18, at an Oklahoma City hospital.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Maple Grove Cemetery.

Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole is directing arrangements.

Ernie "Skeeter" Hand
Shawnee resident Ernie "Skeeter" Hand, 61, was called home Thursday, April 19, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born August 7, 1945, in Durant to Andy and Ola Hand. He grew up and attended school in Fletcher.

He was a long time employee of Donco, Rocor and City Trailer Trucking Company's in Oklahoma City. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967 during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with family. He also enjoyed playing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Jean of Shawnee; children, Anyia Hand and wife, Dana, Ernie Hand and wife, Samantha, of Oklahoma City, Johnny Hays and wife, Becky, Karen McDonald and husband, Rick, and Roger Hays, all of Shawnee, Melissa Wickersham and husband, Rodney, and Michele Martin of Oklahoma City; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Johnson of Cochise, Ariz.; aunt, Enid of Cement, Okla.; and many extended family members and friends.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Resthaven Funeral home in Shawnee. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

A special thanks from the family to Heartland Hospice and Sunset Estates.

Patricia Kimberly Decker
Long time Seminole resident Patricia Kimberly "Kim" (Norman) Decker, 46, died Thursday, April 19, in Oklahoma City.

Viewing will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to service Saturday.

Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, 100 West Strothers Ave., Seminole. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole.

Lauren Ashley McCain
Lauren Ashley McCain, 20, a Virginia Tech freshman entered into the place prepared for her by the "love of her life" Jesus, on Monday, April 16, 2007.

Born Dec. 20, 1986, she is the daughter of David and Sherry McCain of Hampton, Va.

Lauren's life was characterized by her unwavering commitment to serve her Lord and she radiated the love of Jesus that touched everyone that knew her.

Lauren attended grade school in Stillwater, OK, and she began her relationship with Jesus Christ while attending Hillcrest Baptist Church. Moving to Jacksonville Beach Elementary, she continued to grow in the Lord at Mayport Naval Station Chapel, Florida. She attended Gregory-Portland Junior High in Portland, Texas, attending First Baptist Church. Moving then to Hampton, Va., Lauren was schooled at home participating in Restoring Moms co-op for high school. She was actively involved in the youth and drama ministries of Restoration Church, and then entered Virginia Tech which she thought of as "almost heaven". She was also involved in Campus Crusade, Bridges International Ministries and {nlcs} the church on campus at Virginia Tech where she touched many people with the love of Christ. It was from there that she entered her heavenly home. Her family and friends cherish wonderful memories of this beautiful, sensitive and caring young woman.

In addition to her parents; her brothers, Joel and Christian, and her sister, Abby, survive her. Her loss is also felt by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Louella Pickard; paternal grandmother, Ruth Ann Boydstun; maternal great-grandmother, Fern Martin; aunts, uncles and cousins who love her deeply.

Visitation will be held from Noon until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Aydelotte Baptist Church, 10201 N. Harrison, Shawnee. The family will be there to receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until service time.

A celebration of her life will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Aydelotte Baptist Church. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery, Meeker, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.

Donations may be made to Restoration Church-Phoebus Baptist, 508 Foxhill Road, Hampton, VA 23669, to go towards Christian and Abby's college education and as Lauren's desire to fund an International Studies student at Virginia Tech.

William Robert Switzer
William Robert Switzer, 83, was called to the glory of our Lord on Tuesday, April 17, 2007. He was married to Jacqueline Ruckman Switzer also of Shawnee, Ok, who was called to be with the Lord in 1997.
Born to Harriet Benear and William T. Switzer on Aug 12, 1923, Robert was raised in Shawnee. He served in the European theatre during World War II and returned home to work in the outdoor advertising industry until his retirement in 1982.

Robert never knew a stranger. He always found a way to relate to others, either through politics, religion or stories of the 'Big One' (World War II). He was proud of his faith and often referred to himself as being an Old 'Radical' Lutheran. Robert's tales of life experiences ranged from the comical to the impressive.

Opa's family members are his children and their spouses, Richard A. Switzer, Randy A. Switzer, Robert K. and Mary Switzer and Leslie and Bill Murray; his grandchildren, Rheanna, Derus, Edward, Paul, Janice, Eric, Mark, Paula, Daniel and Preston and two great grandchildren Adam and Elijah

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery, Shawnee, with Pastor David Klumpp officiating.

A memorial service is to be held 2 p.m., Saturday, April 28, at Bennett's Funeral Home in Mechanicsville, Va.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to St Paul Lutheran Church, Building Fund, 8100 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23111.

Kenneth Dewayne Hudson
Kenneth Dewayne "K.D." Hudson, 61, of McLoud died Saturday in Oklahaom City.

Survivors are his mother and stepfather, Beulah and Ed Snider of Del City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Hudson, Jr. and Connie Hudson of Bonaire, Ga., and Casey and Angela Hudson of McLoud; a daughter and son-in-law, Cori and Duwayne Bailey of McLoud; seven grandchildren; the mother of his children, Barbara McCurdy of Oklahoma City; two stepchildren, Christi Bennett and her husband Joe and C.J. Stevens; five ste-grandchildren; and the mother of Christi and C.J., Vera Hudson of McLoud.

A service was 10 a.m. Monday at Southside Nazarene Church, Del City, with Pastor Daniel Stroud and Brother Donnie Bond officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Pauls Valley.

Arraignments were handled by Eisenhour Funeral Home, Del City.

Joshua Carl Funk
Joshua "Josh" Carl Funk, 19, of Davenport died Sunday in Davenport.

Survivors include his parents, Kevin and Robin Funk of Davenport; a brother, Devin Funk of Davenport; a sister, Ashley Funk of Davenport; his paternal grandmother, Glenda Funk of Stroud; his maternal grandparents, George and Lillie Loehr of Fairland, Okla.; paternal great-grandparents, Al and Donna Hansen of Stroud; and several aunts, uncles aunts and uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles and other relatives.

A service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Davenport High School auditorium with the Rev. Michael J. Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Davenport Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Stroud.

Mary Ann Jones
Mary Ann Jones, 92, died Sunday in Perry.

She was born March 12, 1910, in Lateur, Mo., to David and Emma (Harper) Parsons.

Her family arrived in Chandler by train Jan. 2, 1917. She worked in sales and also was a homemaker.

She married Horace Jones Sept. 7, 1929, in Tecumseh. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Perry.

Jones was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Donnell Jones of Meeker; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Bill Schramel of Perry and Anita Schwandt of Mulhall; a brother and sister-in-law, R.C. and Leota Parsons of Oklahoma City; a brother-in-law, Quenton "Hoot" Burrahm of Shawnee; two sisters-in-law, Velta Lee Jones of Oklahoma City and Hazel Parsons of Chandler; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel of Chandler with the Rev. Buddy Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery of Chandler.
