Don W. "Jack" Foster
Macomb resident Don W. "Jack" Foster, 75, passed away Tuesday, June 12, in Macomb.

He was born July 28, 1931, to Newmerris Thomas and Lucy Neal (Pitts) Foster in Watonga, Okla.

He was reared near Watonga. Following his military service, he lived in California from 1954 until 1972. He then moved to Del City and lived there until moving to Macomb in 1986.

He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

In 1968, he married Barbara Foster in Nevada. She preceded him in death on Aug. 5, 1996.

While living in California, he worked as an iron worker. After returning to Oklahoma, he operated a backhoe service.

Also preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Herman Foster.

Survivors include his three daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna and Dale Felt of Chickasha, Cathy and David Thomas of Hayward, Calif., and Victoria Lynn of Noble; two sons, Don Foster Jr. of San Leandro, Calif., Rick Foster of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Lucy Weaks of Ashland, Tenn., and Emma Jean Smith of Tulsa; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and many friends and family

Graveside service was held 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2007 at Mars Hill Cemetery with Pastor Billy Adams officiating.

Louis C. Warden
Paden resident Louis C. Warden died Friday, June 15, in Oklahoma City at the age of 82

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Dr. Coleman L. Raley
Shawnee resident Dr. Coleman L. Raley, 90, died Sunday, June 17, at his home after a lengthy illness.

Born May 12, 1917, in Rosebud, Texas, Dr. Raley was a graduate of Rosebud High School. He earned numerous academic degrees including a Bachelor of Arts from Oklahoma Baptist University, where he served as a professor of psychology from 1955 to 1981.

He earned a Master of Divinity degree from Texas Christian University, a Master of Education degree in guidance from the University of Texas and a doctor of education degree from the University of Oklahoma.

He also did a graduate study at the University of Chicago and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Before joining the OBU faculty, he taught English and served as a counselor in public schools in both Texas and Oklahoma for seven years. He served in the U.S. Navy as a chaplain with the Atlantic Fleet from 1944 to 1947.

Dr. Raley was the first pastor of the Country Estates Baptist Church, Midwest City, serving from 1952 to 1955. He also was a part-time psychologist for the Pottawatomie County Unit of the State Department of Public Health from 1959 to 1970.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Shawnee, where he was a Sunday School department director and teacher for many years. He also was a Disabled American Veteran.

He married Fern Norwood on March 24, 1945, in Salado, Texas. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary earlier this year.

Survivors include his wife, his daughter and son-in-law, the Rev. Cheryl Raley Wood and Tim Wood of Columbia, Tenn.; two grandsons, Daniel Raley Wood and Michael James Wood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at First Baptist Church in Shawnee.

Arrangements are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Shawnee.

Clovis Earl Plantz
Lifelong Tecumseh resident Clovis Earl "Pappy" Plantz, 75, died Monday, June 18, in Shawnee.

He was born May 23, 1932, to Clovis W. and Wilhelmina Clandora (Luntz) Plantz in Tecumseh.

On December 1, 1956, he married Betty Lewis in Fort Smith, Ark. She preceded him in death Nov. 7, 2005.

He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He worked as an Aircraft Engine Repairer at Tinker Air Force Base until retiring in 1990.

He was a member of the American Legion, he also served with the Pink Volunteer Fire Department.

His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the focal point of his life. He enjoyed coon hunting and was a Ham Radio Operator.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son, James Plantz; two grandsons, Chris Plantz and Wesley Lowery; and one sister, Margaret Haley.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Dennis Cotton of Norman, Karen Lowery and friend, James Jackson, of Slaughterville; son and daughter-in-law, Clovis and Teresa Plantz of Shawnee; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and LaCarol Wilson of Tecumseh; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Rita Plantz of Stroud; grandchildren, Johnny Lowery, Trina Wells, Loni Young, Tyler Hughes and Meggan Lowery; great grandchildren, Jimmy, Bryan, Heather and Chrisee Lowery, Aiden, Cody and McKenna Young.

The family will be gathering to meet friends 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today.

Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery.

Cyril Clarkson
Chandler resident Cyril Clarkson, 90, died Monday, June 18.

Service is pending under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Chandler.

Louise Dixson-Bross
Former Shawnee resident Louise Dixson-Bross, currently of Guthrie, died Saturday, June 16, in Edmond at the age of 72.

She was born Aug. 15, 1934, in Wetumka to John and Helen (Harwell) Morris.

She was a Shawnee High School graduate.

She married Elmo (Dick) Dixson Aug. 12, 1953, and later married Donald Bross on July 28, 2006.

She retired after 38 years with Southwestern Bell working in the construction and public relation departments

She was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America, Volunteer Board Member for Liberty Bell Federal Credit Union, co-founder Happy Travelers Club, longtime member of Central Church of Christ in Shawnee, and recent member of Midway Church of Christ in Edmond.

She loved to travel, organize bus trips, enjoyed watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bill (Eddie) Morris.

Survivors include her husband, Don, of the home; son, Michael Dixson and wife, Jodi, of Shawnee; sister, Marsha (Morris) Rowley and husband, Larry, of Shawnee; brother Bob Morris and wife, Emily, of Oklahoma City; stepsons, Ted Bross and wife, Pam, of Moore, and Del Bross and wife, Pat, of Guthrie; stepdaughter, Patti Myner and husband, Greg, of Moore; grandchildren, Zane and Kade Dixson of Shawnee; sister-in-law, Thearlene Morris of Hot Springs, Ark.; nieces, Dr. Nicquel Gordon of Hot Springs, Ark., Dava Albert of Houston, Texas, and Gina Haynes of Chicago, Ill.; nephews, Nick Morris of Ft. Worth, Texas, Arthur Beasley of Oklahoma City, and Aaron and Eric Rowley of Shawnee; many cousins and numerous friends.

Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Northridge Church of Christ with Robert Prater officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Nora Squire Littlehead
Shawnee resident Nora Squire Littlehead died Monday, June 18, in Shawnee at the age of 76.

She was born Aug. 10, 1930, in Shawnee to Sage and Bessie Elizabeth (Clark) Squire.

She was reared in Shawnee and attended Canadian Valley School.

Nora married William "Bill" Littlehead. He preceded her in death in 1978.

She was a homemaker and also had worked as a nurses aid. Nora was a member of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe, she was known as "Grandma" to everyone. She loved taking care of children and her beloved dog, Duke.

Preceding her in death also were her parents; two daughters, Wanda Littlehead and Linda Powell; two sisters, Caroline Harry and Nancy Kaseca; one brother, Charlie Squire; and two grandsons, Jerome Johnson Jr. and Darrel Johnson.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Joann and Williard Walker of Norman, Winifred Robertson of Lindale, Texas, Wannetta and Revis Battise of Shawnee, Josephine Creek of Shawnee, Mary and Carlos Jiron of Commerce City, Colo., and Amy and James Hilderbrand of Shawnee; sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred Lee and Sara Littlehead of Shawnee and William Douglas and Donna Littlehead of Shawnee; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters; brothers, William Squire, Tommy Squire, Marvin Lee Squire and Jerry Squire.

Service will be 2 p.m. today at Horseshoe Bend with the Rev. Wayne Wilson officiating. Tribal rites will be held this evening at Horseshoe Bend with George Blanchard officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday morning at the Clark Family Cemetery.

Estelle Blackwood Sutton
Former Seminole resident Estelle Blackwood Sutton died Monday, June 18, in Picayune, Miss., where she had resided for the past eight years.

Visitation for Mrs. Sutton will begin today.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery, south of Seminole.

Mitchell Allen McKosato
Stillwater resident Mitchell Allen McKosato, 44, died Tuesday, June 19, in Stillwater.

Tribal service will be 6 p.m. Thursday at the McKosato home Prague. Burial will follow at 8 a.m. Friday at the McKosato Family Cemetery in Prague.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Prague
