David L. Duggan
David L. Duggan, 93, of Prague died Thursday at a local nursing home.

He was born Oct. 3, 1908, in Prague to Isaac W. and Cora Belle (Lusk) Duggan.

He married Cecelia Nowakowski Nov. 25, 1937, in Seminole.

Duggan was employed by Oklahoma Gas and Electric Co. and Consumer's Service Station. He was an insurance agent for Liberty National and Knights of Columbus Insurance.

He also was a civilian electrician at Tinker Air Force Base for more than 26 years, retiring in 1969 to farm on a family homestead in Prague.

He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and three sisters.

His is survived by his wife, Cecelia, and daughter Regina, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Carole Duggan, of Shawnee; three grandsons and their spouses, Don Jr. and Angela Duggan Jr. of Owasso, Edward Dean and Angelia Duggan, of Prague and Chris and Angela Duggan of Shawnee; a granddaughter, Debbie Presley, of Shawnee; six great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; a great-great-grandson, Corbin Duggan, of Prague; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A wake will be held 6 p.m. Sunday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague with the Rev. Adrian Vorderlandwehr officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Shirley Louise Fletcher
Shirley Louise Fletcher, 66, of Maud died Friday in her home.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Fletcher, of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Corey Fletcher of Shawnee and Barry and Jennifer Fletcher of Maud; a granddaughter; two brothers, Arthur Horner of Junction City, Kan., and J.W. Horner of Glendale, Ariz.; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Maud with the Rev. Carl B. Whitfield officiating.

Burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud.

Services are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home of Maud.

Burt Arnold
Burt Arnold, 66, of Prague died Saturday.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Prague. Further information will be released at a later date by Parks Brothers Funeral Home.

Darrell Cannon Acuff
Darrell Cannon Acuff, 86, of Meeker died Saturday.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Acuff of Meeker; a stepson, Charles Wilson of Moore; and two stepdaughters, Dorothy Demo of Meeker and Lillian Wall of Byars.

Gravesided services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Byars Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.

Margaret Louise Timmerman
Shawnee resident Margaret Louise Timmerman, 85, died Thursday, July 19, at Sunset Estates.

She was born Aug. 14, 1921, in Amelia, Neb., to Hans Peter Hansen and Mary Louise (Webber).

On June 27, 1941, she married Dick Jacob Timmerman in O'Neil, Neb.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, working her word search puzzles and spending time with family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; three children, Shirley Jean Timmerman, Richard Lee Timmerman, Timothy James Timmerman; sisters, Kathryn Spence, Dorothy Neal, Annie Farris, Della Timmerman; brother, Edwin Hansen.

Survivors include her children, Delbert Timmerman, David Timmerman, Arlene Gregg, Steven Timmerman, Connie Kitchens, Thomas Timmerman, and John Timmerman; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Rosa Garhart.

Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brand Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Blue Valley Cemetery in Ayr, Neb., under the direction of Brand Wilson Funeral Home.

Mary L. Jeffers
Tecumseh resident Mary L. Jeffers died Wednesday, July 18, in Shawnee at the age of 80.

She was born Dec. 15, 1926, in Macomb to Vergil L. and Gertie (Minyard) Jackson.

Born and raised in Macomb, she attended school at Prairie View and graduated from Macomb High School.

She married Jack L. Jeffers in Bentonville, Ark., in 1949. They moved throughout the United States as well as living in the Philippines. They lived in San Antonio, Texas, and retired to Sarcoxie, Mo. Following her husband's death in 1977, she moved to Tecumseh and had lived here since that time.

Mary was a homemaker, worked as a beauty operator and enjoyed television.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Audrey Kreuzberg, Ortha Sell, Oleta Lewis and Betty Porcupile.

Survivors include brother and sister-in-law, Elbert and Joan Jackson of Tecumseh; sister, Dorothy Loyd of Tecumseh; many nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.

Service will be 2 p.m. today at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clint Dawkins of Sharon Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery,

William A. Duncan
Tecumseh resident William A. Duncan died Friday, July 20, in a local hospital at the age of 62.

Services are pending with Walker Funeral Service of Shawnee.

Alice Jordan
Maud resident Alice Jordan died Thursday, July 19, in Seminole at the age of 81.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cummings Cemetery in Maud.

Norman Cleveland Kelley
Prague resident Norman Cleveland Kelly, 66, departed this life Friday, July 20, in Prague.

He was born May 28, 1941, in Waldron, Ark., to Grady and Clairsie (Sparks) Kelley.

He was married Aug. 15, 1964, to Norma Sue Horn.

Norman was an affiliate of the Faith Bible Church in Prague. He was a retired road construction superintendent.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and four sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Kelly of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Courtney Kelly of Prague; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Todd Ogden of Prague; brothers and sister-in-law, Joe and Sue Kelley of Cordell, and Grady Kelley Jr. of Afton; sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Durward Parks of Mt. View; and three grandchildren.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Prague Cemetery with Pastor Scott Smith officiating.

Elizabeth (Fisher) Kolar
Prague resident Elizabeth Kolar, 93, departed this life Saturday, July 21, in Prague.

She was born Nov. 21, 1913, in Arlington, Okla., to William Robert and Rosa (Bouda) Fisher.

Elizabeth was married June 1, 1937, in Chandler to Charles Wesley Kolar. He preceded her in death Aug. 13, 1989.

She was a homemaker, farmer, and dairyman. She was a member of the Arlington Methodist Church, Lambdin Home Demonstration Club, Adult 4-H Leader, Honorary 4-H Leader and WFLA #46 for 75 years.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Diane Kolar of St. Louis, Mo., and Dr. Stanley and Sally Kolar of Prague; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Chris Sands of Prague; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague. Burial will follow at the Czech National Cemetery.

Jesse E. Hand
Jesse E. Hand, 93, of Prague died Monday.

Survivors include one sister, Elsie Rich of Prague; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Prague with the Rev. Charles Pearcy officiating. Burial will follow at Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
