LaNore Wise
LaNore Wise, 46, died Saturday at her home in Shawnee.

She is survived by her mother, Fannie Harjo of Shawnee; her daughter, Morning Star Jumper of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Rickita, Derick, Jason and Kaptain Jumper, all of Oklahoma City; one brother, Herschel Wise of Seminole; four sisters, Leona Kernell and Leatrice LookingGlass, both of Oklahoma City, Letha Wise of Shawnee and Lou Ann Blanchard of Norman; two aunts, Yvonne Holata of Wewoka and Leah Jean Fields of Shawnee; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

A wake will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Wewoka. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Middle Creek No. 2 Baptist Church in Holdenville with the Rev. Steve Holata and the Rev. Houston Tiger officiating.

Burial will follow at the Tiger Family Cemetery.

Christine Rolette
Shawnee resident Christine Rolette, 79, died Saturday, July 28, at her residence.

She was born June 2, 1928, in Avery, Okla., to Fred and Amelia (Gokey) Grant. She attended Happy Valley school.

Christine was married to Lawrence Rolette.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Sallateeska Southern Baptist Church and the Sac and Fox Nation.

Christine enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers. Ulysses S. Grant and Chester Grant; sisters, Viola Spoon, Elsie Johnson, Freida Blanchard Wise, Lorena Ponkilla; and son, Gary Rolette.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence; daughters, Sandra Rolette McCellan and Tammie Grant; five grandchildren; 13 grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Exendine; brother, Jerome Grant; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

Tribal Rites and burial will be held Tuesday morning, July 31, at Wakolee Cemetery.

Hope (Harmon) Brock Allen
Shawnee resident Hope (Harmon) Brock Allen died Saturday, July 28, at her home at the age of 66.

She was born Feb. 7, 1941, in Shawnee to Alvin and Wilma Harmon. She graduated from Dale High School.

Hope was married to JP Brock for 20 years and then to Donald Allen for 20 years.

Hope was a nurse. She was a member of Sew to Sew and New Beginnings Church. Hope was a very caring, loving person who enjoyed spending time with her family. She played the piano, was active in church activities and a devout Christian.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands, JP Brock and Donald Allen and sister, Una Ballard.

Survivors include her daughter, Kelly Maskerines; son, James Brock and wife, Christy; grandchildren, Stephen Maskerines, Julie Taylor and Kristopher Brock; siblings and spouses, Sid and Alta Harmon, Donnie and Shirley Parkins, Vera Abney, and Wanita Carrothers.

Service will be 3 p.m. today at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Larry Sparks and Mark Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.

Darryl W. Morton
Darryl W. Morton, 50, of Shawnee died Saturday at his residence.

He was born March 13, 1952, in Newport News, Va., to Jesse Austin Morton and Loveta Rose (Laxson) Morton.

He attended school in Virginia before moving to Oklahoma and graduating from McClain High School in Tulsa. He graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing. He also earned a bachelor's degree in English literature from the University of Oklahoma.

Morton retired from General Motors in 1998, but had also work as a licensed practical nurse and a registered nurse.

He married to Becky Miles April 18, 1984, in Marietta, Okla.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict and was trained as a corpsman.

He was a member of the Church of Christ and volunteered at the health clinic.

He had been a Shawnee resident since 1985.

He was preceded in death by his father; mother-in-law, Viola Miles; and sister-in-law, Susan Goodwin.

Survivors include his wife, Becky Morton, of the home; mother, Laveta Morton of Virginia; four children and a spouse, Logan and Krissy Viers of Oak Harbor, Wash., Emily Ann Morton, Aenon Lee Morton and Jessina Rose Lucille Morton, all of the home; one brother, Bill Adams of Kentucky; five sisters, Dot Suttle and Phyllis Ford, both of Florida, Juanita Harris of Pennsylvania, Mary Armstrong of Virginia and Sally Horn of Missouri; father-in-law, Ed Miles of Colorado; and three brothers-in-law, Ron, Bill and Steve Miles, all of Colorado.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, 3545 N.W. 58 Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.

Helen Eloy Bugg
Helen Eloy Bugg, 85, of Shawnee died Wednesday at her home.

She was born July 6, 1917, in Oklahoma City to Paul and Kathryn (Woodruff) Blankenship.

Bugg attended school in Oklahoma City, Shawnee and Dale.

She was a homemaker.

She married Clarence Shirley Bugg July 13, 1935, in Shawnee and he preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1998.

Bugg was a member of the First Baptist Church at Dale and attended Liberty Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers.

She is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Shirley and Kent Richardson of Panama City Beach, Fla., Linda and Rondy Arms, Janis Cotton and Judy Bugg, all of Shawnee; two granddaughters and a grandson-in-law, Kathie (Batt) and Roy Briggs of Meeker and Debbie Batt of McLoud; five grandsons and their spouses, Bobby Goodin of Fort Worth, Texas, Kevin and Lisa Arms; Rondy Flick, Ryan and Keri Cotton, and Bryan and Harper Arms, all of Shawnee; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Viola Starks of Eastham Cape Cod, Mass.; and one brother, Bill Blankenship.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Blackburn Chapel Church with the Rev. Bill Matthews and the Rev. Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Blackburn Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Thelma V. Norman
Thelma V. Norman, 76, of Konawa died Tuesday at an Oklahoma City hospital.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, David C. and Bettye Freeman of Palm Springs, Calif., Gary and Pat Freeman and Danny and Becky Freeman, all of Konawa; three daughters and a son-in-law, Mildred Motley of Kingfisher, Marie Deffenbaugh of Mineral Wells, Texas, and Julia and J.W. Merriman of Konawa; three sisters, Opal Head of Konawa, Anges Mocabee of Pea Ridge, Ark., and Bertha Gordon of Miami; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Assembly Church of God in Konawa with the Rev. Mitch Williams and the Rev. James Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa.

Roland E. Hardesty
Wellston resident Roland E. Hardesty, 89, died Monday.

Survivors include his wife, Maudie, of the home; a daughter, Donna Gilmore of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren, one stepdaughter, Carol Collings of Shawnee; a step son, Terry Butler of Indiana; a sister, Dorthea Allen of Kansas; and several stepgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and several other family and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Wellston Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Moody officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery of Oklahoma City under the direction of Brown's Funeral Home of Luther.

Berry J. Iervolino
Berry Joy Iervolino, 80, of Tulsa died Tuesday at a local hospital.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Mary Katherine Iervolino of Tulsa; and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Stephanie Iervolino.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ninde Funeral Home of Tulsa.

Maurine Rice
Maurine Rice, 85, of Eufaula died Monday in an Oklahoma City hospital.

She was born July 23, 1917, in Gainesville, Texas, to Arch and Nora (Rasure) Perryman.

Rice attended South Rock Creek School and graduated from Shawnee High School.

She owned and operated Shawnee Ready Mix Concrete Company until her retirement in 1980.

Rice was preceded in death by her parents, Arch and Nora Perryman; her son, Bobby Ray Pease; and two brothers, Doug and Floyd Perryman.

She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Eyler of Purcell; four grandchildren and their spouses, Brandi and Jay Mikish of Harrah, Brock C. and Candice Bowers of Oklahoma City, Rhett and Crae Pease of Texas; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Delores O'Toole of Grand Junction, Colo.; a brother, Bill Perryman of Prague; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Kelley Memorial Chapel under the direction of Hunn, Black and Merritt Funeral Home in Eufaula.
