Sharla Sue Littleton-Lang
Former Shawnee resident Sharla Sue Littleton-Lang, 64, our beloved wife, mother, nana, niece, aunt, and friend passed away Friday evening, August 10, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, N.M.

Sharla was born March 6, 1943 to James Thomas and Rosa Irene (Rene) Littleton in Shawnee. She was their only Child.

Sharla married Eugene M. Lang June 28, 1963, in Fort Collins, Colo. They lived in numerous places before settling in Farmington in February 1984.

Sharla was preceded in death by her parents; paternal and maternal grandparents; aunts; uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Eugene M. Lang; daughters, Elizabeth Southern and Anjanette Bassett both of Farmington; son, James T. Lang of Farmington; seven grandchildren, Shallane Blackwell of Aztec, N.M., Marcus Cheney of Farmington, Miranda Cheney of Blanco, Kalene, Wesley, Danielle and Jennifer Bassett all of Farmington; three great-grandchildren, Nicole and Devon Blackwell of Aztec and Dakota Broccolo of Blanco; many nieces, nephews, two aunts and lots of cousins.

Cremation has taken place. It was Sharla's desire to be laid to rest next to her parents at Resthaven Cemetery in Shawnee.

Arrangements under the direction of Cope Memorial Chapel, Farmington, N.M.

Mary Louis Barrett
Shawnee resident Mary Louis Barrett, 96, died Thursday, Aug. 16, in Shawnee.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Floyd Dee Raines
Lifelong Paden area resident Floyd Dee Raines, 80, died Monday, Aug. 13, in Laughlin, Nev.

Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel, Prague with the Rev. Mike Raines officiating. Burial will follow at Paden Cemetery, Paden.

Service is under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Prague.

Hazel A. Seaman
Longtime Seminole resident Hazel A. Seaman, 92, died Monday, August 13, in Dallas, Texas.

Service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with the Rev. David Karges officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, corner of Strothers Ave. and Boren Blvd.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.

Doyle Leroy Warden
Doyle Leroy (D.L.) Warden, 78, died Monday, Aug. 16, at his home in Prague.

He was born Nov. 20, 1925, in Lamar to Audley and Georgia (Lindley) Warden.

He married Georgia E. Hinds May 12, 1945, in Paden. She preceded him in death July 25, 1997.

He was the owner and operator of Warden Tank Truck Services.

He also was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; son, Tommy Lee; and granddaughter, Danja Warden.

Survivors include special friend and companion, Maxine VanBrunt of Prague; daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna and Wayne Fridrich and Debbie and Joe Remington, all of Prague; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Aletha Warden of Prague; grandchildren and spouses, Aaron and Genise Fridrich of Prague, Nichole and Kelly Rohling of Prague, Sarah and Shane Massie of Tulsa, Brandon and Tammy Remington of Maud, Tyler Remington of Oklahoma City, Megan and Tyler Fine of Abilene, Texas, and Dustin Warden and Kamber Warden of Prague; sister-in-law, LaVonne Warden of Wellston; and seven great-grandchildren.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Prague with Brother Tim Emmons officiating.

Burial will follow at Prague Cemetery in Prague.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague is directing arrangements.

Montez Harris
Noble resident Montez "Monty" Harris, 72, died Monday, Aug. 16, at a Norman hospital.

She is survived by her son, Richard Harris and wife, Dianna; grandchildren, Kimberly Dawn, Brandon Matthew and Roberta Montez Harris, all of Macomb.

Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Twelve Corners Baptist Church with the Rev. David Henson officiating.

McMahans Funeral Home of Noble is directing arrangements.

Clayton Lee Dean
Clayton Lee Dean, 59, died Monday, Aug. 16, at his home in Shawnee.

Service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Resthaven Funeral Chapel in Shawnee.

Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Resthaven Funeral Home of Shawnee is directing arrangements.

Calvin J. Riddle, Sr.
Tecumseh resident Calvin J. Riddle, Sr., 87, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, in Shawnee.

Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Tecumseh Cemetery.

Resthaven Funeral Home of Shawnee is directing arrangements.

James Gordon Malcom
Maud resident James Gordon Malcom, 79, passed from this life Wednesday, Aug. 15, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Lois June Malcom of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Johnny and Andrea Jo Meharg of Norman; son and daughter-in-law, Rocky and Debbie Malcom of Maud; granddaughter, Jaclyn Paige Malcom; two grandsons, Jonathan Meharg and Justin Garrett Malcom; sister, Laquita Hurst; and many special friends.

In lieu of service a family and friends dinner will be 1 p.m. Sunday at the Malcom home.

William "Bill" Carrol Murray
Prague resident William "Bill" Carrol Murray departed this life on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, in Prague at the age of 65.

Bill was born on April 16, 1942, in Pascagoula, Miss., to William Carrol and Pearl Ellen (Burns) Murray.

He graduated from Enterprise High School in Brookhaven, Miss., attended Mississippi College in Clinton, Miss. Copiah Lincoln Community College in Wesson, Miss., and received a bachelor's degree from The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss.

He married Norma Lee Atyia on Aug. 1, 1975, in Gainesville, Texas.

Bill worked for Big Yank Corporation for 28 years, achieving the position of plant manager. For the past three years, he was employed by the Seminole Nation. At the time of his passing, he was the executive director of SNDA (Seminole Nation Development Authority). He was a member of Calvary Way Church of Prague. Bill had a servant's heart, was always giving and helping people, and was a wonderful family man. He loved to travel and play golf.

His parents and one sister, Willine Gatlin, preceded Bill in death.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Murray of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Murray Bullock of Brookhaven, Miss., Susan and Ron Pinkerton of Ft. Worth, Texas, Teresa and George Reich of Edmond, Okla., Melissa and Johnny Weddle of Rockwall, Texas, and Betty and Roger Cunningham of Seminole, Okla.; grandchildren, Sloan, Jordan, and McKenna Bullock, Shayna and Chrissy Pinkerton, Monica and David Clifford, LeeAnna Reich, Sunny Weddle, and Ryne and Harrison Hoey.

The family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today.

Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Calvary Way Church in Prague with the Rev. Starland Davis, Bro. Charles McGregor, Sister Shirley Beverly, and the Rev. Sean Pease officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole.

Beverly Murray
Konawa resident Beverly Murray, 75, died Friday, Aug. 17, at her Konawa residence.

Service is pending under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa.

Rozanne Greenlee Cowan Abney
Lifelong Shawnee resident Rozanne Greenlee Cowan Abney died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007 in Shawnee at the age of 78.

She was born Feb. 26, 1929, in Shawnee to A.H. and Mattie (Evans) Greenlee

She attended Shawnee Public Schools.

On Jan. 21, 1970, she married Thurman "Russell" Abney at the First Church of God in Seminole. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1998.

She was an LPN, working at various hospitals in the area, including the Old City Hospital, Seminole, Holdenville, and Wewoka.

Roxanne was a member of the First Church of God in Shawnee. She enjoyed gospel music and camping.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Earl H. Greenlee and Roy Greenlee.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-Law, Jackie Don Cowan of Oklahoma City, "Bubbie" and Vickie Cowan of Bethel and Johnny Mack and Marcia Cowan of Shawnee; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Virginia Marie and Porter Russ of Florence, Ala.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee with the Rev. Steve Walls officiating. Visitation will begin 4 p.m. today.

The family will be at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday evening to greet friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Church of God Building Fund, P.O. Box 3610, Shawnee, OK 74802.
