Jerry Wayne Neay
Former Shawnee resident Jerry Wayne Neay, 42, died Sunday, Sept. 23, in Lindsay, Okla.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Little Cemetery.

Service is under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Lloyd L. Lofties
Lloyd L. Lofties, 87,went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, Sept. 25, at the Woodward Regional Hospital in Woodward. Lloyd was born Jan. 28, 1920, in Shawnee to Luther and Katie Lofties. He graduated from Shawnee High School and attended Okmulgee Tech. Lloyd and Christine Marie Dennison were united in marriage April 18, 1944, in Cushing. He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II. He served in the Pacific Theater, Okinawa, Guadalcanal, and helped in the occupation of Japan. He witnessed the signing of the Japanese surrender.

Lloyd worked as a heavy equipment operator in pipeline construction until he and his wife retired in 1971 to Bellavista, Ark. Lloyd and Christine were very devoted to their church, the Bellavista Church of Christ. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, parents, two infant brothers, and a sister.

Survivors include his son, Steve Lofties and his wife, Timmy, and granddaughter, Lyndsay Barton and her husband, Zach, of Guymon; daughter, Pam Taylor and her husband, Jocko, and grandson, Tyler Taylor of Corpus Christi, Texas; one brother, Glen Lofties and his wife, Lois, of York, Penn.; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Graveside funeral service with military honors will be conducted 4 p.m. Friday at the Little Cemetery in Little, Okla. The Lofties family request memorials be given to Dunaway Manor. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.

Noma E. (Ayers) Autrey
Shawnee resident Noma E. (Ayers) Autrey, 83, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born Jan. 16, 1924, in Macomb to Clarence and Bertha (Hickey) Ayers. Noma was a much-beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.

She enjoyed gardening and kept an immaculate yard and ultra-tidy house. She was a big fan of the Oklahoma Sooners. She resided in her home, west of the airport, for more than 50 years. She was a charter member of the Golden Acres Baptist church. She was a homemaker. Noma raised four children and took care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mr. B.C. Autrey; and her siblings. Survivors include her children, Sharon Autrey, Ron Autrey, Rob Autrey, and Steve Autrey; grandchildren, Joe Freeman, Angela Freeman, Ryan Scott, Robbi Autrey, Rayli Autrey, Rachael Youngblood and Amy Gilbert; several great-grandchildren, including Rose, Toni, Nate, Joshua, Trevor, and Braden; and other relatives. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Resthaven Cemetery.

The family thanks the Heartland Hospice team, Lori, Joyce, Rachelle, Larry, and Len, for their care and assistance in easing Mrs. Autreys passing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to your favorite charity.

Linda Caryol Sands
Shawnee resident Linda Caryol Sands, 60, died Monday, Sept. 24, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Linda was born Dec. 24, 1946, in Castle, Okla., the daughter of Linley and Iona Sands. Linda lived a full life and has traveled the world. She was a compassionate, loving, and understanding soul.

She raised three boys and a daughter, had two grandsons and a granddaughter. Linda most recently lived and worked in the Shawnee area. She provided numerous services to the Shawnee community over the years including Linda's Super Sale and ultimately serving as a well-known and respected realtor at Remax of Shawnee. Linda was elected the President of the Shawnee Board of Realtors for 2007 and also served as Chairman for the Board of Directors. Linda's firm commitment to the Shawnee community and her exemplary performance in her chosen career are a large testament to who Linda was. Linda always went above and beyond to take care of her extended family and customers. Linda touched and changed so many people's lives. She had a smile and laugh that could cheer up the saddest of souls. She devoted her life to helping and making others around her happy.

She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Once Linda put her mind to it, and with a little help from her devoted life partner of 25 years, she always got what she wanted in life. Even in her final months she was more worried if her family was going to be okay rather than herself. That was Linda! Survivors include her life partner, Eddie West; her sons, Phillip Gibbins, Kevin Gibbins and Arthur Gibbins; a daughter, Lana Goodrich and husband, Michael; grandsons, Travis and Andrew Goodrich; and a granddaughter, Angel Baby Goodrich. Mom-we love you and will always make you proud! Thank you for being you!

Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Walker Funeral Service.

Sherman Edward Everett
Oklahoma City resident Sherman Edward Everett, 77, passed away Monday, Sept. 24, in Oklahoma City. He was born March 14, 1930, in Ray City, Okla. He graduated from Wanette High School in 1948. On Aug. 22, 1951, he married the love of his life, Carol Ann Pierce. They just celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.

He followed his father in to the oil field after graduation. He worked for Coca Cola bottling company in Shawnee for almost 20 years. Sherman was involved in a number of successful business enterprises through out his life. His dedications in life were first to the Lord, his family and his friends. He served as a deacon and elder in the Lord's church.

Sherman was preceded in death by his father, Sherman Everett, and mother, Lillian Middleton Everett. Survived by wife, Carol Ann Everett of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Coy Everett and wife, Patti, Ron Everett and wife, Sara; six grandchildren, Carrie Pitts, Craig Everett, Kelee Everett, Jami Everett, Grant Everett and Lauren Everett; two step-grandchildren, Sheena Spurgeon and Stephen Spurgeon; three great-grandchildren, Brody Everett, Andon Everett and Chace Pitts. He is also survived by his brother, Frank and wife, Oleta Everett; sisters, Christine Kime and Zereda and husband, Bill Magby; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a cherished husband, father, Papa and friend who will be missed more than words can express. Services to celebrate his life will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Southwest Church of Christ, 3031 SW 104th St. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee. Services directed by Vondel Smith & Sons Mortuary at South Lakes, 4000 SW 119th, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Jerry Wayne Neay
Former Shawnee resident Jerry Wayne Neay, 42, died Sunday, Sept. 23, in Lindsay, Okla. He was born Nov. 14, 1964, in Oklahoma City to Jerry Clyde Neay and Ruthie (Wilson). Jerry attended Shawnee High and graduated from Meeker High School. He is preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Ruthie Westmoreland; sister, April Jean Jonker; two sons, Mitchell Neay and Joseph Neay; grandmother, Marmie Wilson; and aunt, Della Sue Lawrence. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Little Cemetery.

Travis James "T.J." Billings
Earlsboro resident, Travis James "T.J." Billings, 18, died Tuesday, Sept. 25. Service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Earlsboro High School Auditorium under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel.

Fred LeRoy Alexander
Fred LeRoy Alexander, 74, of Las Vegas, Nev., died Sept. 21 in Las Vegas.

Survivors include his wife, Beverley J. Alexander of Las Vegas; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Johnny Whitley of Warner; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Masonic graveside services are will be 2 p.m. today at the Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Lois McAllister
Lois Soderstrom McAllister, 80, formerly of Chandler and Meeker, died Friday in Ponca City.

She was born April 27, 1922, in Chandler, the daughter of Floyd and Ruby Soderstrom.

She graduated from Chandler High School in 1940.

During World War II, she was a "Rosie the Riveter," working at the Boeing Aircraft plant in Wichita, Kan., where she met Mont McAllister.

They were married in Perry on April 20, 1945. They made their home in Dodge City, Kan., where they were business owners.

Mont McAllister died March 5, 1968, following a lengthy illness.

She moved from Dodge City to Casper, Wyo., in 1981, then from Casper to Meeker in 1989.

Survivors include two daughters, Jann Jones of Salina, Kan., and Pat Ralph of Dodge City, Kan.; five sisters, Vera Curtis of Denver, Colo., Esta Lauderback of Riverton, Wyo., Helen Thomason of Ardmore, Laura Glasspoole of Casper, Wyo., and Hazel Harned of Dodge City, Kan.; three brothers, Floyd Soderstrom of Chandler, Walden Soderstrom of Prague and John Soderstrom of Ponca City; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Providence Baptist Church in Ponca City with the Rev. Steve Harden officiating. Burial will be Tuesday at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.

Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel in Ponca City.

William Edward Gaines
Maud resident William Edward "Willie" Gaines, 84, died Saturday, Sept. 25, at a Seminole nursing home.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cummings Cemetery in Maud with the Rev. Wayne Taylor officiating.

Noma E. (Ayers) Autrey
Shawnee resident Noma E. (Ayers) Autrey, 83, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, at her home after a lengthy illness.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Resthaven Cemetery with Bro. Joshua Shawnee officiating.

Albert "Al" Wild
Longtime Shawnee resident Albert "Al" Wild, 93, passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, in Shawnee.

He was born March 8, 1914, in Hanna, Alberta, Canada, to Helen Bauer Wild and John Wild. He was one of 12 children.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years, and of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his son, Arland Lee Wild.

Those left to cherish his memories include his daughter-in-law, Patricia Wild; grandchildren, Arland Ray Wild and wife, Jennifer, and Kimberley Link and husband, Christopher; two great-grandchildren, Hailie Jo Wild and Joshua Ryan Link; and many other relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

Service was held Thursday, Sept. 27, at Resthaven Funeral Home with Pastor Kim Dominick officiating.

Marissa Katie Mayfield
Prague resident Marissa Katie Mayfield, 16, departed this life on Wednesday, Sept. 26, in Paden.

She was born on Aug. 18, 1991, in Shawnee to Jerry Lee and Glenda Faye (Brown) Mayfield.

She was a junior at Paden High School where she was a member of FCCLA, girl's basketball manager, and a member of the softball team.

Her grandparents, O.H. Curley and Grace Mayfield, and uncle, Sherdel Mayfield, preceded Marissa in death.

Survivors include her mother, Glenda Mayfield of Prague; father, Jerry Mayfield of Paden; brother and sister-in-law, Marty and Rachel Mayfield of Prague; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marla and Troy Lester of Elkton, Va., Melaina Cooper of Edmond, Misti and Darin Martin of Paden, and her twin, Miranda Mayfield, of Prague; grandparents, Morris and Katie Brown of Paden; half brother, Michael Hessman and his wife, Cheryl, of Harrah; nieces and nephews, Abbie, Rilee, and Skylar Mayfield, Tristan, Victoria, and Nate Lester, Reagan and Audrey Cooper, Tanner and Sydney.

Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, at the Lighthouse Holiness Church in Prague with the Rev. Aaron Brock, Anthony Lester, and Jonathan Brock officiating. Burial will follow at the Paden Cemetery.

C.L. "Lynn" Patterson
Longtime Konawa resident C.L. "Lynn" Patterson, 71, died Thursday, Sept. 27, at his residence in Konawa.

Service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Konawa Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Steve Lowrance officiating. Burial will be at Vista Cemetery, west of Konawa, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.
