Claud Leon Weatherly
C.L "Jack" Weatherly, 84, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 26.

He was born on Dec. 28, 1922, in Fleetwood, Okla., to Claud Jefferson and Laura Lorene (Day) Weatherly.

He received a BS degree at Oklahoma City University after he was discharged from the U.S. Navy at the end of World War II. While in the Navy he served on the USS SC#669 in the 7th fleet in the Pacific Ocean.

On Aug. 3, 1946, he married Mary L. Henderson in Henrietta, Texas. Together in this wonderful union they shared more than 60 years and raised three children, Michael Rand, Billy Claud, and Craig Steven.

His career included working as a sales manager in the petroleum marketing business and fertilizer business.

Jack loved working at the Rock Creek Baptist Church where he served as a church teller, a trustee, an adult Men's Sunday school teacher, and provided research for the Rock Creek History Book. At home he enjoyed working on his family genealogy, and writing articles. Jack was a Master Mason of Shawnee Lodge AF & AM, and was active in Masonic work for 50 years. He was Past Master of Guymon, Okla., Lodge. He received an award from "Prevent Blindness Oklahoma" and was elected as Mr. Mason in 2001.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mildred Henderson, and beloved son, Craig Steven.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Weatherly; his son, Michael and his wife, Tina, and their children, Adam and Jacob, of Guthrie; his son, Bill and his wife, Kathy, and their children, Brannon and Keysha and Mike Hill, of Fort Worth, Texas; his brother and wife, Gene, and Mary Marie Weatherly, of Wichita, Kan.; brother-in-law, Ira Henderson of Newcastle; brother-in-law and wife, Jim and Ella Henderson of Shawnee; sister-in-law, Gladys Gamble of Moore, Ida Mae Peterson and Ruby Marshall of Ryan, Okla.

Service will be 2 p.m. today at Walker Funeral Service with the Rev. Richard Zimmer officiating and assisted by the Rev. Mike McCauley and Lori Payne.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Angelic Family Hospice, 421 North Beard Street, or the Rock Creek Baptist Church building fund, 44900 Hardesty Road, Shawnee, Oklahoma 74801.

Glendon Jean Starr
Glendon Jean Starr, 84, Shawnee, died Saturday.

She was born Aug. 28, 1918, in Dover, Okla., the daughter of Walter C. and Fern A. (Miller) Hebbe.

Starr was a graduate of Dover High School and attended Oklahoma A&M College in Stillwater.

She married Jack Starr on April 17, 1938.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Jack, who died Sept. 11, 1989; one sister; and one grandson.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Nadia Starr, and Gerald A. and Linda Starr; daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn Jean and William S. Whipple; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and cousins.

Service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Burress and the Rev. Kris Steele officiating. Burial will follow at the Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Betty Ruth Haynes
Betty Ruth Haynes, 77, of Stayton, Ore., died Friday at an Oregon hospital.

She was born Jan. 16, 1926, in Shawnee, the second of nine children born to Jesse and Iva Pybas.

She moved to Salem, Ore., from Oklahoma City in 1947. With her husband, she co-owned the Blue Line Cafe in Salem, Ore. Later, she worked for the Salem School District and Supra Products. She was a member of the Eagles and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary for many years.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Carl, in December 1973.

Surviving are her daughters, Sue McFadden of Colorado Springs, Colo., Margie Porter and husband Rex of Tokyo, Japan, and Carla Faraci of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sons, Roger McFadden of Canby and Ron McFadden of Bend; stepsons, Leland Haynes and his wife Diane of LaComb, Ore., and Carl Haynes and his wife, Pat, of Tulsa, Okla.; sisters, Maxine Cupp and husband Ted of Aumsville, Ore., Cleta Mae Cheatwood of Lawton and Nancy Klarr and husband Dean of Salem, Ore.; brothers, Bill Pybas and wife Jewel of Salinas, Calif., Bob Pybas and wife Betty Sue of Wanette and Gerald Pybas and wife Shalia of Kilgore, Texas; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Howell-Edwards-Doerksen Funeral Home in Salem, Ore., with the Rev. Dean Klarr officiating. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Lung Association, 9320 S.W. Barbur Blvd., Suite 140, Portland, OR., 97219.

Rose Fast
Rose Fast, 81, Shawnee, died Friday in Shawnee.

She was born Oct. 17, 1921, in Alba, Texas, to Johnny Gray and Carrie Belle (Painter) Sherwood.

Fast was reared in East Texas and also lived in Sedona, Ariz. She moved to Oklahoma in 1958.

She was a homemaker.

Fast and her husband owned and operated a restaurant in Sedona, Ariz., for many years.

Preceding her in death were her three former spouses, William Virgil Cleveland, Omer White and J.C. Fast; her parents,; 11 brothers and sisters; and one daughter, Carolyn Alexander.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Grover Sr. and Karen Cleveland of Shawnee and Virgil and Darla Cleveland of Elk City; five grandchildren and spouses, Grover J. and Kris Cleveland of Shawnee, Dustin Cleveland of Elk City, Jason and Jennifer Cleveland of Elk City, Paul Alexander Jr. of Shawnee and Deanna Alexander of Shawnee; great-grandchild, Kristin Cleveland of Elk City; and sister, Katie Mae Warden of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Tecumseh Cemetery with Bob Anderson officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.

Sarah Elizabeth Moore
Sarah Elizabeth Moore, 102, of Harrah died Friday.

Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Irene Moore, McLoud; grandson and wife, George and Elaine Moore, Denham Springs, La., grandson, Gary Moore of Harrah; granddaughter and husband, Karolyn and Alvin Anderson of Oklahoma City; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel in Harrah. Burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Harrah under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service, Harrah.

A.D. Senkowski
A.D. "Dan" Senkowski, 79, Harrah, died Friday in Oklahoma City.

Surviving are his wife, Laverne of the home; daughter, Danna Senkowski, Oklahoma City; son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Connie Senkowski, Orange Park, Fla.; and grandchildren, Danny Senkowski of Orange Park, Fla., and Scott Senkowski, San Francisco, Calif.

Wake will be 7 p.m. Monday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Harrah. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Harrah. Burial will follow at St. Teresa's Cemetery under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service of Harrah.

Bill Ockerman
Bill Ockerman, 86, of Broken Arrow, died Friday in Tulsa.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Lurene Ockerman of Broken Arrow; brother, Roy Ockerman of Dumas, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Bill Bell of Sapulpa; sister, Patty Joe Groover of Tulsa; and grandchildren, Julie and John Reel of Broken Arrow and Crystal Walters of Cleveland, Ohio.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.

Sadie Grace Malone
Sadie Grace Malone, 3, of Sulphur died Friday in Oklahoma City.

She was born June 26, 2000, in Ada to Nicholas Malone and Bobbi Ross.

She lived all of her life in the Sulphur area and was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sue Ross.

Surviving are her mother, Bobbi Ross, Sulphur; father, Nick Malone of Asher; brothers, Colton Ross and Jessie Ross, and sister, Shayanne Ross, all of Sulphur; grandparents, Ronald and Carrie Malone of Asher; grandfather, Bobby Ross of Sulphur; great-grandparents, Charles and Shirley Lamirand and Lorene Malone, all of Asher; great-great-grandmother, Jessie Blythe of Antlers; aunts, Samantha Malone, Tanya Boyd and Nannette Keeler; and uncles, Russell Malone, Alex Ross and Kenneth Keeler.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oaklawn Cemetery, Sulphur, with the Rev. Thomas Malone officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home of Sulphur.

Gary William Reed
Gary William Reed, 48, died Wednesday in Paris, Texas.

He was born Jan. 31, 1955, in Guymon to Thomas Andrew Reed and Harlene (Houston) Reed Young. He attended Shawnee schools and Seminole Junior College. He also served with the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam era.

He married Sherri Ann Clark on Oct. 18, 1986. He was a self-employed plumber in Paris, Texas.

Preceding him in death were his father, Thomas Andrew Reed; stepfather, Charles Vernon Young; and brother, Rickey Houston Reed.

Surviving are his son, David Houston Reed, Tecumseh; mother, Harlene (Houston) Young, Shawnee; two brothers and one-sister-in-law, Michael Thomas and Aubre Ann Reed, Shawnee, Kelly Dwayne Reed, Oklahoma City; former wife, Sherri Ann Clark; nephews, Christopher Charles Reed, Richard Patrick Reed, Brian Michael Reed and Sean Thomas Reed.

Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sam Garner officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Constance Tipton
Former Tecumseh resident Constance Tipton, 71, died Dec. 8, 2006, in Riverside, Calif.

Memorial graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Prairie View Cemetery in Macomb.

Flora Johnson
Seminole resident Flora "Flo" (Scott) Johnson, died Tuesday, June 26, in Norman at the age of 67.

Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole, with Dan Factor officiating.

Mildred M. Jackson
Shawnee resident Mildred M. Jackson died Tuesday, June 26, in Shawnee at the age of 86.

Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Darrel Whitten officiating. Burial will be a Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Charles Wayne Sturgis
In celebration of the life of Charles Wayne Sturgis, it is to be announced that Charles left this earth on June 25, 2007, in the afternoon. He is now in heaven in the comforting arms of our Lord.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Wanda June (Redding) Sturgis; children and their spouses, Connie and Virgle Smith, Brenda and Glenn Furnace, Darryl and Rebecca Sturgis, Steven Sturgis, and Jeffrey and Michele Sturgis his sister and brother and their spouses, Edna and V.A. (Jiggs) Pratt, Guy and Frances Sturgis. He was blessed with twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Charles is loved by all who knew him, and liked by all who met him. He never knew anyone he disliked. He treated everyone the way he wanted to be treated. He was kind, generous and loving to everyone. He will truly be missed.

Services will be held 2 p.m. today at Cooper Funeral Home in Tecumseh. He will be laid to rest at Cummings Cemetery in Maud.
