Brooklyn Nicole Gray
Brooklyn Nicole Gray, infant daughter of Dustin Shawn Gray and Ashley Nicole Reynolds of Meeker died, Thursday, Feb. 22, at an Oklahoma City Hospital.

Service will be noon Monday at the Walker Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Clint Dawkins and the Rev. Travis Hurst officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Arrangements under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Neil Norton
Peoria Heights, Ill., resident Neil Norton, 81, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, at the Apostolic Christian Skylines in Peoria.

He was born March 24, 1925, to H. Mead and Hazel Rose Bohannon Norton in Shawnee.

On Dec. 31, 1969, he married Floy M. Kerr Mantle in Miami. She preceded him in death Sept. 23, 2002 in Peoria.

He was owner and operator of Neil Norton Motors in Miami from 1953 to 1983 and owner and operator of Neil Norton Cadillac-Pontiac from 1983 to 2004. He was a winner of the Time Magazine Quality Dealer Award in 1974. He was a member of United Presbyterian Church of Peoria.

He was a World War II Army veteran serving in both European and Pacific Theaters. He was a member of Oklahoma City Lodge #36 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Peoria and Mohammed Temple, Shrine. He also was a member of Peoria Downtown Rotary.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, Inc. of Peoria, followed at 6 p.m. with a Masonic Service performed by Illinois Lodge #263 AF & AM. Additional visitation will be 30 minutes before service at the church.

Service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Presbyterian Church of Peoria. Cremation rites will be accorded after the service. Burial of ashes will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City at a later date.

Arrangements under the direction of Wright & Salmon Mortuary, Inc. of Peoria Heights.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Youth Farm Inc. Foundation or charity of the donor's choice.

Geraldine "Jerry" Pourchot
Shawnee resident Geraldine "Jerry" Pourchot , 85, died Thursday, Feb. 22, at Unity North Hospital.

Jerry was born Sept. 22, 1921, in Whitney, Texas, to Ben and Lena (Findley) James.

She was married to Melvin Everett Pourchot for 54 years before he passed away.

The most important thing in her life was her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; one son, Richard James Pourchot; siblings, Shag James, Red James, Cotton James, Gaynell Holley, Richard Phillip (Bug) James and Notie James.

Survivors include her children, Phillip Melvin Pourchot and Robert Lynn and wife, Georgia Bell, Pourchot; siblings, Chip James, Nort James, Ferbia Ferzoco and Joy James; grandchildren, Vaughn Sterling Pourchot, Richard Drake Pourchot, Eden Bell Pourchot, Hannah Dean Pourchot, Emily Jane Shaffer, and Jenny Lynn Pourchot; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Service will be 1 p.m. today at Resthaven Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Nathan James officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shawnee Heartland Hospice.

The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks toher caregivers, Leta Skaggs, Mary Henry, Geneva Glover, Nicole Moon, Nina Triplett and Shawnee Heartland Hospice.

William Thomas Banks
William Thomas "Tom" Banks, 74, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, in Shawnee.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at New Zion Cemetery, Chandler, with the Rev. Johnny Miller officiating.

Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah is directing arrangements.

Clyde L. Hair
Former Police Chief Clyde L. Hair, 79, died Monday, Feb. 21, at his home in Shawnee.

He was born Jan. 15, 1926, in Yeager, the son of Benjamin and Myrtle (Horn) Hair. He grew up on a farm south of Tupelo and graduated from Tupelo High School.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.

On June 21, 1947, he married Tommie King in Oklahoma City. He drove a truck for a few years before joining the Shawnee Police Department.

He served 22 years in the police department, the last three years as chief, before retiring in April 1979. After retiring, he continued to work in the Shawnee Street Department for another eight years.

Hair was a member of Oak Park Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Clovis, Pete, Bud and Doyle.

Survivors include his wife, Tommie Hair of the home; four children, Gary Dean Hair of the home, Mike Hair of Oklahoma City, Deborah Gayle Cole and her husband, Robert, of Anaheim, Calif., and Mark Hair of Little Rock, Ark.; three grandchildren, Jeremy Hair of Seminole, Joshua Hair and his wife, Kacie, of Oklahoma City and Ashley Cole of Anaheim, Calif.; three great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Deloris Dick Jackson of Chouteau; and other relatives.

Service will be 2 p.m. today at Resthaven Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Leroy Kerbo officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Resthaven Funeral Home is directing arrangements.

Agnes Mary Goodwin
Del City resident Agnes Mary Goodwin, 87, died Saturday, Feb. 19.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Stacia LaFredia (Brown) Edmondson; husband, Theron Goodwin; and daughter, Francys Mauldin.

Survivors include two granddaughters, Michelle Heilaman of Moore and Teresa Mauldin of Santa Cruz, Calif.; a great-granddaughter; great-grandson; and friend, Jesse Carter.

Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Bill Eisenhour NE Chapel in Oklahoma City. Burial will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.

Betty Glecker
Longtime Chandler resident Betty Glecker, 80, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, in Oklahoma City.

She was born Feb. 19, 1925, in Sparks to John R. and Mollie (Meier) Heinze.

She worked for the Farmers Home Administration for 33 years as an account specialist.

She married Howard E. Gleckler on Feb. 5, 1948, in Chandler.

She was a member of the Patches Club and the First Christian Church in Chandler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Marshall and Jackie Gleckler of Chandler; two grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, 614 Manvel Ave., Chandler, OK. 74834.

Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church in Chandler with the Rev. Fred Rider officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler.

Parks Brothers Funeral Home is directing arrangements.

Emma Fixico
Seminole County resident Emma (King) Fixico, 84, died Saturday, Feb. 19, in a Shawnee hospital.

Wake service will be 6 p.m. today at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with T.J. Fixico officiating. Burial will be at the Harjo Family Cemetery.

Lillian K. Reynolds
Former Shawnee resident Lillian K. Reynolds, 81, died Saturday, Feb. 19, in Broken Arrow.

Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at Moore's Southlawn Funeral Chapel in Tulsa.

Steven L. Simms
Shawnee resident Steven L. Simms, 23, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, in an Oklahoma City Hospital. He was born July 11, 1984, in Oklahoma City to Marion L. Simms. He was married to Autumn R. Wright. Steve was a wonderful husband, great dad, and the best brother anyone could ask for. If you knew Steve you know he would want us to be strong and carry on. He was an all around good ol' boy, and he always knew where he was goin', he's goin' to heaven, he'd say.

We all love you Steve and you'll always be missed. Survivors include his wife, Autumn, of the home; son, Steven; grandmothers, Miriam Gaines and Eva Sorrell; mother-in-law, Rose Ann Butler; brothers, Carl Northam and Thomas Dunbar; sisters, Stephanie Gere and Jessica Gere; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Bill Matthews and Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Fouke,Ark., at the Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Janet K. Berry
Shawnee resident Janet K. Berry, 62, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, in a Midwest City Hospital.

Service is pending under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

James Dorsey Kemble
Bethlehem, Ga., resident James Dorsey Kemble died Saturday, Feb. 17, at the age of 82. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Oak Park Cemetery, Chandler, under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Chandler.
