Sang Yon Biskupski

Age 67, Lawton, Services will be at 10:00 am Thursday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, with Rev. WiPyo Hong, Pastor of the Korean First Baptist Church, Lawton, officiating.

Mrs. Biskupski died Sunday in a local hospital.

Burial will be in Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, OK.

She was born April 16, 1937 in Pusan, South Korea. She married Gilbert J. Biskupski on October 19, 1981 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was a Homemaker and a Member of the Korean First Baptist Church.

Survivors Include: Husband of the home, One Brother: Kum Ho Bae; Pusan, South Korea.
She was preceded in death by 3 Brothers, and a Sister.

Dale G. Adair

Age 81, Lawton - Graveside service will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin.

Mr. Adair died Saturday in a local hospital.

Burial will be under the direction of Becker Funeral Home.

He was born July 19, 1923 in Adair, Oklahoma to Herron and Minnie Thompson Adair. He grew up in Pryor but graduated from high school in Shidler in 1940. He married Mary E. Flores on November 5, 1949 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

He enlisted in the United States Navy on November 5, 1940 in Portsmouth, Virginia, and served with distinction in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a naval hospital corpsman assigned to the 2nd Marine Division, seeing action at Guadalcanal, Tarawa, and Okinawa. He was also awarded the Bronze Star for valorous service in Saipan.

After his retirement from the Navy as Senior Chief Petty Officer on May 31, 1960, he worked as a sales representative for Strasenburgh Pharmaceuticals in Little Rock, Arkansas before moving to Lawton in 1961. He worked as purchasing agent and assistant administrator at Southwestern Hospital from 1961 – 66.

From 1966 – 77 he served as administrator of Talley-Walker Hospital in Marlow, and from 1979 until his retirement in 1984 he served as administrator of Tri-County Hospital in Carnegie.

Survivors include his wife Mary, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law: Robert and Sara Adair, Dayton, Ohio; and John and Teresa Adair; Lawton; two daughters: Jeanie Caldwell and her husband Jody, Lawton, and Lucy Petty, Fort Worth, Texas; a brother Paul Howard Adair, Locust Grove; five grandchildren: Ronald Keith Deck, Fort Worth, Texas; Kathleen Jane Adair, Phoenix, Arizona; Clinton Charles Petty, Norman; Hayley Dawn Caldwell, Lawton; and Craig Caldwell, Lawton; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by a sister, Imogene Adair; and by a brother, Max Adair.

Harold Wayne Anderson

Age 56, Snyder - Graveside services will be at 3:30 pm Monday at Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder, with Bobby Bridges, Pastor of Gods House of Tularosa, Tularosa, NM and Gary Max Anderson, Snyder, OK officiating.

A heart of gold stopped beating on February 9, 2006 for a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Burial will be in Fairlawn cemeteryunder the direction of Becker Funeral Home of Snyder.

Harold Wayne was born March 13, 1949 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Harold Fred and Reba Hartman Anderson. After graduating from Snyder schools in 1967, he attended Southwestern State College at Weatherford, and received a Masters of Education. Mr. Anderson taught school for 27 years, having taught in Elgin, Lawton and he retired from Snyder public schools where he taught from 1986 to 1999. After his retirement he operated Anderson’s Painting business for six years. Harold Wayne enjoyed fishing, hunting, football, and most of all sitting around with family, friends, and loved ones telling stories and laughing.

Survivors include his son and daughter in-law, Heath and Jessica, grandchildren; Hunter and Tristan, of Snyder and Shea Lynn Anderson of Hobart. Three sisters and their husbands, Sharrel Jean and Troy Thorn of Cache, OK, Sharon Joy and Rod Raasch of Roosevelt, OK, and Gladys Ann and David Drews of Snyder, OK. He is also survived by special nieces and nephews, Ricky, Tori, Mac, Shawna, Amanda and Emily. Also many special friends, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by: Parents, Fred and Reba Anderson.

Teresa Ann Smith

Age 46, Wichita Mountains Estates - Services with full military honors will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at First Assembly of God in Lawton with Jim Hall, minister at Fletcher Christian Church in Fletcher and Larry Thoma, pastor of First Assembly of God in Elgin officiating.

Mrs. Smith died Saturday in a local hospital.

Arrangement are under the direction of Becker Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was born March 31, 1959 in Rockwood, Tennessee. She married Christopher Bentley Smith on September 7, 1987 in the chapel at the Holy City of the Wichitas.

In 1980, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee and was a 1983 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law.

Teresa entered active duty in 1985 as a Judge Advocate General's Corps Officer, attending the 107th JAG Officer Basic Course, and was named Distinguished Graduate. Teresa served as a legal assistance attorney, administrative law attorney, trial counsel, and defense counsel at Fort Sill, Oklahoma from 1985 to 1989.

In 1989, she was hired as a civilian attorney and has served the

U.S. Army for the past 17 years as the Deputy Chief, Administrative Law and the Chief of Civil Law at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Teresa received her LL.M. from The Judge Advocate General’s School (46th Graduate Course), earning the Award for Distinguished Accomplishment for the highest academic accomplishment in the Administrative and Civil Law Specialty. Teresa’s numerous awards and decorations include the Superior Civilian Service Award, Commander’s Award for Civilian Service, Army Commendation Medal, Achievement Medal for Civilian Service, and Sustained Superior Performance Award.Teresa was also recognized in 2005 and 2004 as Employee of the Year by the Oklahoma Federal Executive Board and in 1997 as an Outstanding Woman of Comanche County

Survivors include her husband, of the home, four children; Meghan Hammond, Knoxville, Tennessee, Trey Hammond, Katie Smith and Bentley Smith, all of Wichita Mountains Estates, her father; Carl Burris and his wife Sandy, Titusville, Florida, her mother; Betty Reed and her husband Dr. Halvert E., Knoxville, Tennessee, a brother; Carson Burris and his wife Anne, Cleveland, Tennessee, and a sister; Dodie Burris, Florida.

Mildred L. Dickerson

Age 86, Lawton - Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2006, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Dickerson died Friday, July 7, 2006.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home

She was born December 2, 1919 in Lawton to Adelbert and Mimsie (Strickland) Fisher. She received an Associates Degree from Cameron Junior College. She married Roy L. Dickerson in January of 1945 in Lawton. He died in August of 2001. She was a homemaker

Survivors include her 3 sons, Robert Dickerson of Lawton, John Dickerson and Jim Dickerson both of Norman, OK; 2 grandsons, Blake and Jonathan Dickerson, and a brother, Donald Fisher.

Her parents and husband preceded her in death.

Vassilka Kardaleff

Age 94, Lawton - Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church with The Rev. William B. Carlin, II, Rector officiating.

Mrs. Kardaleff died Tuesday, August 22, 2006 in a local hospital following a brief illness.

Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary, Indiana under the direction of Ryan Funeral Home, Homewood, Illinois.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Becker Funeral Home.

She was born to the Rev. Anastas and Dominika Kuzmanoff on August 14, 1912 in Bitola, Macedonia, Europe. In 1929 she graduated from gymnasia in Sofia, Bulgaria where she became a private tutor and custom Macedonian folk embroidery specialist. She immigrated to America in April of 1936, and wedded, by an arranged marriage, her husband Tom Kardaleff of East Hazel Crest, Illinois in January of 1937.

Mrs. Kardaleff lived in East Hazel Crest for 63 years where she worked as a homemaker and in family businesses, finally retiring as a retail sales associate for Community Discount Stores, Harvey, Illinois.

Mrs. Karkaleff is survived by a son; Steven and daughter-in-law the Rev. Patricia Kardaleff, her three grandsons; Tommy, Austin, Texas, Charlie, Denver, Colorado, and John and his wife Karen, and three great grandchildren; Amber, Jay, and Kory, all of Healdton, Oklahoma. Other surviving relatives include two nephews and several second cousins in American, and two nephews and three nieces in Macedonia.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and infant son, and seven brothers and sisters.

MSG (Retired) Carl L. Cotton

Age 79, Lawton - Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Northside Baptist Church, with Rev. Cliff Gravitt, pastor, officiating.

Sergeant Cotton died Saturday in Lawton.

Burial with full military honors will be in the Post Cemetery, Ft. Sill, Oklahoma under the direction of Becker Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 pm at the Funeral Home.

He was born June 24, 1927 in Pottsville, AR to James Franklin and Grace Anna (Kell) Cotton. He entered the U.S. Army in January of 1946 and retired in 1970. He was a member of the Occupation Forces in Germany, served in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He received numerous awards during his service. He married Ada Faye Johnson in Russellville, AR on September 15, 1951. She died in Lawton on April 20, 1985. He then married Mozell Fowler on September 17, 1997 in Lawton.

Survivors include his wife of the home; 5 Grandchildren, Patrick Cotton, Jadi Cotton, Grace Guida, Stacy Cotton, and Dylan Cotton; 2 Step-daughters, Patricia Robison and Vanita Jenkins; 3 Great-grandchildren; 5 Step-grandchildren; 8 Step-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Anna Campbell, and Mazel and Hobert Sumers; a brother-in-law, Harold Baxter; and many Nieces and Nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, 2 Sons, Barry and Carl Don Cotton; a Brother, J.D. Cotton; and 3 Sisters, Clara Malone, Dortha Baxter, and Mary Cotton.
