Michael Wood Tinling
Michael Wood Tinling, age 60, of Norman died Saturday,
December 28, 2002 in Norman. Mass Services of Memorial will be
held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December, 31, 2002 at St. Thomas More
University Parish with Reverend Bill H. Pruett as celebrant. Burial
will be held later in a private ceremony. Arrangements are under the
direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
Mr. Tinling was born December 25, 1942, in Williamsport,
Pennsylvania, to James Edwin Tinling and Mary Elizabeth Wood.
While his parents were stationed in England, he obtained the rank of
Eagle Scout. He graduated from Freemont Union High School in
1960, and graduated Chico State University with a degree in biology.
Michael then taught biology in Susanville, California. He was then
employed as a medical tech at Stanford University for a number of
years. He then settled in Norman in 1988, where he was active at the
Senior Citizen’s and enjoyed playing bridge there.
Mr. Tinling was preceded in death by his parents, and brother
Charles Edward Tinling. Survivors include two sisters, Judith
Elizabeth Girard and her husband, Marston of Citrus Heights,
California and Mary S. Bonner and her husband, Stephen of Norman;
three brothers, James Richard Tinling and his wife, Ginny of
Hillsboro, Oregon, Steven Paul Tinling and his wife, Gini of Davis,
California, and Walter William Tinling and his wife, Elizabeth of
Montgomery Village, Maryland; thirteen nieces and nephews, Jean
Elizabeth Conner, Catherine Pazdel, Michael James Bonner, Matthew
Ray Bonner, Andy Tinling, Molly Tinling, Alyssa Tinling, Emily
Tinling, Melissa Tinling, Heather Tinling and Colleen Tinling, Brian
Rinck and Tony Rinck: and eight great nieces and nephews, Ryan
Ward, Jason Ward, Ethan Pazdel, Cassandra Pazdel, Evan Pazdel,
Libby Rinck and Addison Rinck, and Asa Bonner.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas More
University Parish, in Norman, Oklahoma.

Mary Dodd Wetmore
Mary Dodd Wetmore, 44, of Norman, Oklahoma, died
Tuesday, December 31, 2002 in Norman, Oklahoma. Memorial
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 4, 2003 at
Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Norman, Oklahoma with
Reverend Susan Beam officiating. Interment will be at 9:00 A.M.,
Saturday, January 4, 2003 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norman,
Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral
Home of Norman, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Wetmore. was born November 17, 1958 in Seminole,
Oklahoma, to Jimmie A. and Gloria Christine Williams Dodd. She
graduated from high school in Norman, Oklahoma. She attended the
Christian Church of Newcastle, Oklahoma. Mary enjoyed a number
of hobbies including crafts, cooking and antiques. Her main focus in
life was her children.
Mrs. Wetmore was preceded in death by her former husband,
Tim Wetmore; her father, Jimmie Dodd; a brother, Mark Dodd; and
grandparents, Coy and Mary Williams and Albert and Lou Dodd.
Survivors include her son, Jordan Wetmore; daughter, Molly
Wetmore, both of the home; her mother, Christine Steward and
stepfather, Odel Steward of Norman, OK; her sister, Judi Price of
Norman, OK; her brother, Jim Dodd of Wagner, OK; three aunts,
Nita Keys of Muskogee, OK; Johnie Haynes of Norman, OK; Betty
Lou Steely and husband, Neil of Noble, OK; special friends, Leroy
Peyton of Noble, OK, Pam and Jim Mangum of Blanchard, OK; and
numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Thomas J. Williams Jr.
Thomas J. Williams Jr., 80, of Norman, Oklahoma, died
Wednesday, December 25, 2002, in Norman, Oklahoma. Graveside
Services will be held at 10:00, Saturday, December 28, 2002 at
Norman I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Mr. Wayne Weese officiating.
Family members will serve as bearers. Services are under the
direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma.
Mr. Williams was born April 29, 1922 in Lexington,
Oklahoma, to Thomas Jefferson and Linnie Mae Arnold Williams.
He grew up in Lexington and graduated from high school there. He
worked as an electrician and in procurement for the Federal Aviation
Administration for fifteen years retiring in 1983. Mr. Williams
moved to Norman, Oklahoma from Lexington in 1942. He married
Dorothy E. Rutherford on June 13, 1949 in Norman, Oklahoma. Mr.
Williams was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict and
served in the U.S. Army and Air Force. He was a member of the
Norman Masonic Lodge and, the Guthrie Consistory and India
Temple. He was also a member of the University Christian Church.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, one
brother and sister. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of the home;
one son, Jeff Williams and wife, Lora of Norman, OK; one daughter,
Clara Smart and husband, John of Norman, OK; two sisters, Jeannie
Butler and husband, Lee of Scottsdale, AZ and Phyllis Weese and
husband, Wayne of Tulsa, OK; one brother-in-law, Rudolph Wimmer
of Norman, OK; and five grandchildren, Judd Parker, Matt Parker,
Jarrod Williams, Jason Williams, and Samantha Danner and husband,
Shane.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital
at 815 Market St., Galveston, TX 77550-2725 or a charity of your
choice.

Joan H. Blaylock
Joan H. Blaylock, 67, of Norman, Oklahoma, died Thursday,
January 2, 2003 in Norman, Oklahoma. Memorial Services will be
held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 6, 2003 at Little Axe Baptist
Church in Norman, Oklahoma with Reverend Sonny Stuart
officiating. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral
Home of Norman, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Blaylock was born May 21, 1935 in Harrison, Arkansas,
to John and Louisa Collins Hoppis. She graduated from the
University of Oklahoma and previously worked as a certified public
accountant. She married Harry E. Blaylock on May 31, 1954 and
moved to Norman, Oklahoma from Bentonville, Arkansas in 1954.
Mrs. Blaylock was preceded in death by her parents and son,
Michael Blaylock in 1999, two sisters, Wanda Morrison and Lou
Burton. Survivors include her son, David Blaylock of the home; two
daughters, Janet Johnson and husband, John of Norman, OK; Donna
Mason and husband, Dennis of Coer D’Alene, ID; three sisters,
Rhoda Jones of Norman, OK; Portia Davis and husband, Rube of
Yukon, OK; Florence Hoppis of Colorado Springs, Co; one brother,
John Hoppis and wife, Roberta of Noble, OK; six grandchildren,
Amber Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Brenna Mason, Brittani Mason,
Brandi Mason, Stephanie Blaylock.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Norman Regional
Hospital Foundation, P. O. Box 1665, Norman,, Oklahoma 73070.
Flowers may be sent to the service at Little Axe Baptist Church but
the family request flowers not be sent to the home.

Harvey S. Bohn
Harvey S. Bohn, 84, of Norman, Oklahoma
died Saturday, January 10, 2003 in
Norman. Funeral Services will be held at
10:00 a.m., Monday, January 13, 2003 at
the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel in
Norman, with Chaplin Harry Smith
officiating. Interment will follow at the
Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in
Norman, Oklahoma. Services are under the
direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
Mr. Bohn was born April 15, 1918 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania to James
W. and Anna Mazich Bohn. He was a World War II Veteran, serving
with the 104th U. S. Naval Construction Battalion in the S. W. Pacific
Islands. He was a civilian employee of Olmstead Air Force Base in
Middletown, Pennsylvania until it closed in 1967 and he transferred
to Tinker Air Force Base. Harvey retired in 1974 as Chief of
Production Control Branch, Electronics and Armament Division after
thirty three years of service. He was a Lutheran. He enjoyed
woodworking, travel and his family.
Mr. Bohn was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his
wife of 59 years, Anna; daughters, Catherine Witten and husband,
Ted of Norman, Oklahoma and Patricia Choate and husband, Rick of
Mission, Texas; grandchildren, Anne Shaffer and husband, Jim, of
Broken Arrow, Beth Witten of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Andy, Danny and
Jennifer Choate of Mission, Texas and one great-grandson, Brandon
Shaffer of Broken Arrow; sisters, Madaline Manfred, Sophia
Shughart, Joyce Williams and husband, Lew, Joanne Kimmel and
husband, Richard; brother-in-law, Paul Mazich and wife, Gloria;
sister-in-law, Alice Mazich, all of Norman.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Norman or the
American Diabetes Association.
