Anita M. Morris

Age 56, Lawton - Services will be 4:00 pm Tuesday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Michael E. Morris, Jr., officiating.

Mrs. Morris died Friday in Lawton.

Friends may greet the family from 7-9 pm Monday at the funeral home.

She was born November 10, 1948 in Selmer, Tennessee, to Willard and Lorene Martin. She grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and graduated from Humes High School in 1966. She later attended the St. Louis Institute of Music where she earned her master’s degree in music education. She was a music teacher. She married Michael E. Morris, Sr. on August 29, 1972 in Memphis.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son and daughter in law, Michael Everett Morris, Jr. and wife Katherine, Coral Springs, Florida; two granddaughters, Lauren and Rachel Morris, Coral Springs, Florida; her mother, Lorene Martin, Millington, Tennessee; two brothers, W. Noel Martin, Memphis, Tennessee and Mark Martin, Leavenworth, Kansas; several nieces and nephews.

Her father preceded her in death in 1998.

Michael Joseph (Doc) Kelley

Age 44, Lawton, Graveside service will be 10:00 am Thursday in Highland Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Ashlock, officiating.

Mr. Kelly died February 2, 2005.

Burial will be under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home.

He was born January 11, 1961 in Newport, Rhode Island, to Barney W. and Elizabeth Kelley. He was a 1978 graduate of Lawton High School and had attended Cameron University. He was a longtime employee and manager of Liberty and Sooner Pawn Shops. He was also a local DJ known as “Dr. J”. He had also been employed with Circle K and Phillips 66 convenience stores.
He is survived by a longtime friend, Marlies Howard, a cousin Maurine Agnew of Scotland, and his many friends in the Lawton area.

Vickie Laquita (Wilkinson) Johnson

Age 36, Chesapeake, Virginia - Services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at the Assembly of God Church Cement, Oklahoma with Rev. Mike Bates, Pastor, and Rev. Raymond McPherson officiating.

Ms. Johnson died Saturday, March 26, 2005 in Norfolk, Virginia.

Burial will be in Celestial Gardens Cemetery, Cyril, Oklahoma under the directions of Becker Funeral Home of Cement (formally Robbins Cement Chapel).

Viewing will be at the Becker Funeral Home Cement Chapel, Cement, Oklahoma.

She was born February 5, 1969 in Lovington, New Mexico to Billy and Carolyn (Fleming) Wilkinson. They soon moved to Cement Oklahoma where she grew up and attended school.She moved to Norfolk, Virginia in 1986.

Survivors include: Two Daughters: LaChanda Petty, Lovington, New Mexico; Casey Johnson of Norfolk, Virginia; One Son: Jeremy Johnson of Norfolk, Virginia; Father: Billy Wilkinson and wife Brenda, Cement, Oklahoma; Mother: Carolyn Satterlee, Cement, Oklahoma; Brother: Ricky Wilkinson and wife Amy, Sweetwater, Oklahoma; Two Step- Sisters: Kim LeBleu and Keri Jahn and husband Travis both of Chickasha, Oklahoma; Two Nieces: Whitney and Emily Wilkinson and a nephew Tyler Wilkinson many cousins and friends from Cement, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bill and Ruby Wilkinson, Cement, Oklahoma and maternal grandparents, Herbert and Clydie Fleming of Lovington, New Mexico.

Burteel D. Dyer

Age 94, Snyder - Services will be at 1:30 pm Friday in the Becker Funeral Home Chapel, Snyder, with Rev. Bob Witt, Pastor, Classen Boulevard Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, officiating.

Mrs. Dyer died Monday in a Snyder nursing home.

Burial will be in Mountain Park Cemetery under the direction of Becker Funeral Home of Snyder.

Burteel Della Kirk was born October 30, 1911 in Tipton, Oklahoma to Bedford and Georgia Kirk. She married Jim Burns and they established a home and farm outside Mountain Park, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. Burteel left high school before graduation but she returned to attend classes and graduate at Mountain Park with the class of 1956. Burteel and her sister, Azlee, sold tickets and operated the concession stand at the local movie theaters. Burteel met Tom Dyer and they were married in Paris, France. They returned to Snyder to establish a home and resided there until his death in 1966. Burteel was a charter member of the Snyder Fairlawn Cemetery Association in April of 1982 and she retired in May of 1995, due to illness. She enjoyed playing bridge with her many friends and she was a longtime member of the Methodist Church in Snyder.

Survivors include two sisters, Vondell Witt of Walters, OK and Mary Jo Bittner of Plainview, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Forrest, J.B. and Glen, and five sisters, Fern Kirk, Erthel Hardin, Azlee Burns, Bernice Johnson, and Grace Wright.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Snyder United Methodist Church, 908 'E' Street, Snyder, OK 73566.

Carlton L. Moretti

Age 89, Lawton - Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at First Baptist West with Rev. Jamie Powell, Pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Moretti died Wednesday in Lawton.

Burial will be in the Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home.

She was born June 8, 1917 in Athens, Alabama, to Hector Lane and Edna Cary Hall. She grew up in the Sentinel and Hobart, Oklahoma, area. She attended Beauty School in Lawton and worked as a Beautician for 63 years. She was married to John O. Moretti on April 10, 1935 in Clinton, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1997. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Louise Murphy and Julie Justice, both of Lawton; two sons, Johnny Moretti, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Robert Moretti, Ft. Worth, Texas; a sister, Aleen Ball, Lubbock, Texas; eight grandchildren, Jackie Murphy, Randy Murphy, Suzanne Cooke, David, Chris and Gina Moretti, Amy Beahrends and Dylan Justice; six great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Three brothers, Reuben, Winston, and Esaw Hall, and two sisters, Ossie “Pat” Livingston and Eunice Arnold, preceded her in death.

Claud W. Sisk

Age 79, Elgin - Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Paradise Valley Cemetery, north of Lawton with Chaplain Jim McGuire, Hospice of Southwest Oklahoma officiating.

Mr. Sisk died Monday at his home.

Burial will be under the direction of Becker Funeral Home.

He was born August 7, 1926 in Paris, Arkansas to Andrew and Minnie (Bethune) Sisk. He married Mary Lois Turnbull on January 24, 1954 in Barling, Arkansas. She died April 30, 2002.
Survivors include a step-son; Johnny Vaughn, Hurst, Texas, and a grandson; Rickie Rainbolt, Lawton.

Margaret A. “Margie” Bevill

Age 82, Lawton - Services will be 1:30 PM Friday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Bevill died Monday in Lawton.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 -8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

She was born on July 2, 1924 in Coalgate to Eugene and Lydia (Hampton) Shaw. She married Leonard W. Bevill on April 12, 1941 in Tishomingo. He died June 8, 1985. She devoted her life to loving and caring for her family. She and her husband moved to Lawton in 1955 and started Len’s Garage and Auto Salvage, which later became Beville Auto Salvage. She also worked for Jackson’s Laundromat. Mrs. Bevill was an avid fan of the races on Saturday night at the Lawton Speedway. She attended and completed Great Plains Area Vo Tech. She was a naturally curious woman who loved to read about history. She loved to travel to Colorado and go camping with her husband. She was a member of the Lawton Antique Auto Club.

Survivors include three sons, Billy Beville and his wife, Judy, Donald Bevill and Lindel Bevill and his wife, Norma, all of Lawton; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and COL (Retired) Kirby Walls, Jr. of Manassas, Virginia; 14 grandchildren, Jeff Beville and his wife, Shey, Guy McFarland, Dion Kaliopolous, Tiffany Pool and her husband, Dean, Stephany Roush and her husband, Kenneth, Zachary Bevill, Noah Bevill, Jamie Walls, Kirby Walls, III, Kameron Bevill, Joshua Bevill, Crystal Uplinger, James Uplinger, Jr. and Norma E. Uplinger; 16 great grandchildren, a brother and sister-in-law, Ves Shaw and Mary Lou of Mena, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Bevill of Pottsboro, Texas
Her husband, parents, a son, Harold Dean Bevill, a daughter, Mary Counts, a granddaughter, Sherry Bevill Stoner, two brothers, Gene and Leslie Shaw, three sisters, Willa Mae Smith, Peggy Masch and Geneva Hurst, preceded her in death.

Pauline Moore Walker

Age 96, Lawton - Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday in the Eighth & Lee Church of Christ with Dave Dugan, Minister and Harold McRay, Retired Church of Christ Minister, Lawton officiating.

Mrs. Walker died Saturday in a Lawton care center.

Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Lawton under the direction of Becker Funeral Home.

Pauline Moore Walker was born May 4, 1910 in Mill Creek, Oklahoma. She was the fifth of thirteen children born to Henry Oscar and Sarah Melvina (Cates) Morgan. She attended elementary school in Boggy and Harmony, Oklahoma and graduated from Olustee High School in 1929. She married School Superintendent Frank B. Moore in 1930 and later married Ray W. Kinney, a World War I Veteran in 1959. In 1934 she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from East Central University in Ada. Her Masters degree was completed in 1967 at Central State University in Edmond. She taught School 44 years in Middleburg, Dibble, Carney and Kingfisher before retiring in 1975. She moved to Lawton in 1980 and married Harold Lee Walker on January 6, 1989. Mr. Walker passed away December 3, 2001. Mrs. Walker was a member of the Eighth & Lee Church of Christ. She was also active in many civic organizations. She was a member of the Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, member of the Oklahoma Mental Health Council, Cancer Volunteer Worker, Lioness Vice-President, Past Worthy Matron of Carney Eastern Star Chapter 427 and member of the Kingfisher Eastern Star Chapter 40. She was also a lifetime member of the Oklahoma Education Association, member of the Oklahoma Reading Council, Kingfisher County Retired Teachers, National Retired Teachers, President of Kingfisher Study Club, member of Delta Kappa Gamma, lifetime member of the AARP, and NARF lifetime member. Mrs. Walker also taught “55 Alive” classes with her husband Harold for seven years. In 1955, she received Life Membership in the National Education Association.

Survivors include two sons, Ret. Judge Roy Moore and his wife Kaye of Lawton, Tom Moore and his wife Vallory of Lawton, daughter Sue Moore Blakely and her husband Richard of Sun City Center, Florida, step-daughter Lynda Baxter of Sacramento, California, three sisters, Evelyn LaVerne Brown, Emma Mae Noblitt and Sammie LaWanda Burdette. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mrs. Walker Is preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Jo Moore Ridpath, husband Harold Walker, three sisters, Mamie Gertrude Jackson, Dorsie Ann Reid, and Bessie Christine Milne, and six brothers, Wiley Clifford, Rayburn. H.O., Virgil, Horace Haden and Roy Morgan.
