Harmon Floyd Wallace

PARK HILL -- Services for Harmon Floyd Wallace, 59, of Tahlequah, were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2004, in the Park Hill Baptist Church., with Rev. John Lee officiating. Interment followed in the Tahlequah City Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Lawrence Gann, Bill Cotherman, Mike Medlin, Morgan Whitmore, Clark Cox and Mike Graham.

Harmon Wallace, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend was born March 27, 1944, the son of Clayton and Reetta Turley Wallace. He departed this life on March 1, 2004.

Harmon founded and operated Wallace Floor Covering in Tahlequah for nearly 30 years. He loved to be with his family spending time with his children. He loved to take care of his cattle and to farm. Harmon liked to talk, trade and fish.

Preceding Harmon in death are his parents.

He is survived by Carolyn, his wife of almost 40 years, whom he married on march 27, 1964, in Tahlequah; a daughter, Carla Bailey and her husband Ron of Tahlequah; a son, Carl Wallace and his wife Wendy of Tahlequah; his grandchildren, Ashley Bailey, Ronnie Joe Bailey, Meagen Dawn Wallace and Clayton Wallace; brothers and sisters, Harold Wallace, Lonnie Wallace, Wanta Jones and Clayetta Ridenhour; and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Lucille Stansill

1921 - 2004

TAHLEQUAH -- Memorial services for Lucille Stansill, 83, of Tahlequah, will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 30, 2004, at Grace Baptist Church of Tahlequah, with her nephew, Richard Corn, officiating.

Lucille was born April 19, 1921, at Gideon, and passed away Saturday, July 24, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ollie Corn; husband, James W. Stansill; and two brothers, Lewis and James Corn.

She is survived by two sons, Jim Stansill of Houston, Texas, and John Stansill and family of Corpus Christi, Texas; one grandson, Dennis Stansill of Corpus Christi, Texas; one great-grandson, Jonathan Stansill of Clute, Texas; three brothers, John Corn of Tahlequah, Russell Corn of Tahlequah, and Richard Corn of Afton; two sisters, Pauline Riggs of Miami, and Stella Hanesworth of Tahlequah; four sisters-in-law, Mary Corn of Lexington, Wanda Corn of Tahlequah, Beth Corn of Tahlequah, and Dorothy Corn of Afton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family sends a very special thanks to Roberta Collins for all her help during this sorrowful time.

Tommy Hayes

PARK HILL -- Services for Thomas Gene Hayes, 58, will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 29, 2004, at Park Hill Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at Park Hill Cemetery under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Michael Wasson, Danny Jackson, David Jackson, Larry Hayes, Troy Lee Jackson and Kenny Jackson. Honorary pallbearers include Bob Jackson, Luke Jackson, Don Thompson, Mike Villegas and Freddie Wasson.

Thomas Gene Hayes was born Dec.10, 1945, in Park Hill, to Thomas and Rose (Jackson) Hayes. He passed from this life Sunday, July 25, 2004, in Broken Arrow.

Tommy served his country in the United States Army from Oct. 27, 1966 to Oct. 16, 1969; in the U.S. Navy from Sept. 30, 1976 to Jan. 18, 1979; and in the Army National Guard of Oklahoma from Feb. 10, 1979 to Feb. 9, 1993.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving Tommy are his three sisters, Shirley Wasson and husband Freddie, of Broken Arrow, Ruth Villegas and husband Mike, of Park Hill, and Hazel Thompson and husband Donald, of Broken Arrow; two half-sisters, Valorie Waggoner of Blackwell and Lola Mae Heltman of Tempe, Ariz.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Wanda Jean Rogers Cervenka

COOKSON -- Graveside services for Wanda Jean Rogers Cervenka will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 30, 2004, at Cookson-Proctor Cemetery, with Rev. Neal Dillard officiating. Burial will be under direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah.

Wanda Jean Rogers Cervenka was born Oct. 18, 1942, in Cherokee County, to Carl and Opal (Hall) Rogers. She passed from this life Wednesday, July 28, 2004, in Tulsa. Wanda Jean was a member of the Elks Lodge of Tahlequah. She worked as a beautician for many years.

Wanda Jean is preceded in death by her father and mother, Carl and Opal Rogers; two brothers, Wes and Charlie Rogers; and a sister, Beatrice Tincher.

Survivors include her daughters, Pam Bowlin and husband Gary of Hulbert, Kathy Smith and husband Edward of Dry Creek, and Tresa Moss of El Mirage, Ariz.; her brothers Marvin Rogers and wife Della of Tahlequah, and Vernon Rogers of Tahlequah; a sister, Francis George of Laramie, Texas; her grandchildren, Wayne Bowlin and wife Rebecca, Trent Bowlin and wife Christina, and Mandy Orcutt and husband Jeremy; her great-grandchildren, Karlea Brave, Nathan Orcutt, Wyatt Bowlin, Krista Bowlin and Cailee Bowlin.

Betty Louise Bowman

TAHLEQUAH -- Services for Betty Louise Bowman, 81, will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at Reed-Culver Chapel, with Brother Randall Johnson officiating. The family will receive guests at the Restaurant of the Cherokees directly following the service. Interment will be private at Tahlequah. Funeral arrangements are directed by Reed-Culver Funeral Home.

Betty Louise Bowman joined her Heavenly Father Monday, July 26, 2004, in Tahlequah. She was born March 30, 1923, in Sapulpa, to Robert and Nell (Baxendale) Cooper.

Betty was raised near Sapulpa. She graduated from Sapulpa High School. She met the love of her life while working in Tulsa. She and Lyle made Tahlequah their permanent home in 1964. Betty loved children and operated a childcare facility out of her home for a number of years. Betty was loved by all who knew her for her sense of humor, sweet disposition, gentleness and kindness. Losing her loving spirit is bittersweet. We will miss her but praise God that she was healed as the angel led her home.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, William Lyle Bowman; and by her parents, Bob and Nell Cooper.

Betty is survived by her brother, Bob Cooper of Tulsa; and nine nieces and nephews.

Debra Hammond Cunningham

STILWELL -- A private memorial for Debra Hammond Cunningham will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2004, in Stilwell. This is what she wanted.

Debra Hammond Cunningham was born Dec. 1, 1952, in Wichita, Kan., to John and Evelyn (Harmon) Hammond. She passed from this life at the age of 51 years, 7 months and 23 days. Debra grew up in Hulbert, graduating from Hulbert High School in 1971. She loved and enjoyed her family and friends. Debra always had time to babysit her nieces, then her great niece. She stayed at home to raise her son, Michael James. She loved fishing and the outdoors.

Debra married William (Bill) Cunningham on March 31, 1995, in Tahlequah. They made their home in the Welling area.

Debra is preceded in death by her grandparents and one sister, Ramona Elizabeth.

Her loving husband Bill Cunningham survives her, along with her son, Michael James Howell of the home; her father and mother, John and Evelyn Hammond of Tahlequah; one sister, Sandra Powell and husband Larry of Hulbert; a niece, Rebecca Powell Parker and daughter Alexandria (Lexi); two brothers, John R. Hammond of Tahlequah and his children, Jennifer, Morgan, Eric and Joshua, Roger Hammond of Stilwell and his stepdaughters, Becky Baily of Wagoner, Verona (Roni) Cunningham of Catoosa, Mary of Phoenix, Ariz., Wanda of Minneapolis, Minn., and Megan of Seattle, Wash.; several aunts and cousins; and many more friends and loved ones.
