Charles Clarence Larkin

PARK HILL -- Graveside services for Charles Clarence Larkin, 90, of Park Hill, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, at the Park Hill Cemetery, with Addison Kendall officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.

Charles Clarence Larkin was born on Dec. 1, 1913 in Russellville, Ark., to Lewis Franklin and Minnie Lee (Wheeler) Larkin, and passed away on Jan. 30, 2004, in California. Charles was raised and spent many years in Fort Smith, Ark., and on Dec. 10, 1932, he and Pauline Berry were married in Fort Smith. After several years of working there as a railroad engineer, Charles moved to Muskogee and continued his career. He later retired after 33 years in the railroad business to Lake Tenkiller in Park Hill. Charles was a 32nd degree Mason at the Belle Point Lodge No. 20 in Fort Smith, Ark.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Pauline in 1997; son, Jack Larkin; great-grandchild, Brian Vowles; and three brothers, Roy, Lawrence, and Lionel Larkin.

Charles is survived by his granddaughter, Marlene Larkin-Vowles of Lakeside Calif.; three great-grandchildren, Breanna, Brandon and Brock Vowles; and a niece, Linda Lee Larkin-Womack of Barling, Ark.; along with many other friends and loved ones.

Roy E. Mullins

FORT GIBSON -- Graveside services for Roy E. Mullins, 83, of Park Hill, will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, with Pastor Cecil Swepston officiating. Interment is with the care of Green Country Funeral Home.

Roy E. Mullins was born the son of Elmer Jackson Mullins and Bertha Maude Cochran Mullins on Dec. 31, 1921, in Russeville, Ark. He died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2004, in Muskogee. Roy was a World War II veteran. Following his term in the service, Roy, worked at home helping his family with farming. He enjoyed spending time praying, and enjoyed not only his grandchildren, but all children. Roy had been a member of the Seventh Day Church of God. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Roy has been preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Mary Jane Mullins, three brothers, William Alonzo Mullins, Wilburn Dodson Mullins and Daniel Jackson Mullins; and four sisters, Francis Lorena Bozarth, Silvia Nona Laverdia Warren, Grace Alma Marie Speers and Hazel Elizabeth Summerlin.

Roy is survived by his wife, Billie Mullins of Park Hill; four sons, Leon Mullins and Bailey Mullins of Chelsea, Elmer Mullins and wife April of Park Hill, and Ed Mullins of Milwaukee, Wis.; two daughters, Stella Oakes and husband Max of Clarmeore, and Birdie Mullins of Stillwater; a sister, Ruby Jean McClendon; and four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Winnifred L. "Winnie" Phillips

TULSA -- Services for Winnifred L. "Winnie" Phillips will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at Moore's Southlawn Chapel in Tulsa.

Winnifred was born July 13, 1928, in Tulsa, to Harold and Flossie Breeding, and passed away Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, in Tulsa. She was a member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Denise Phillips Schaub and husband Derek, Debra Grant and husband Roger, and Dawna Cook and husband Don, all of Tulsa; a brother, Milton Breeding of Grapeland, Texas; and a sister, Carolyn Anderson of Orinda, Calif.

Those wanting to express sympathy are asked to consider a charity of choice.

W. Lee O'Daniel "Danny" Robbins

TAHLEQUAH -- Memorial services for W. Lee 'Danny' O'Daniel Robbins will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at Reed Culver Funeral Home Chapel.

W. Lee 'Danny' O'Daniel Robbins was born Jan. 11, 1941, in Tahlequah, to Price and Anna (Bird) Robbins, and he passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, in a Tulsa hospital, at the age of 63 years. He was a retired geologist for the United States Geological Service, and had served in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne.

He is survived by wife Jennie; a son, Christopher and his wife Teresa; their children, Wes Lee Robbins, Christina Ann Robbins, and Jamie Shelley and Lyssa; a son, W. Lee O'Daniel Robbins II; and his son Taylor Lee Robbins; a son Shannon Robbins; and his son Braiden James Robbins.

Gabrielle Olivia Walters

TULSA -- Memorial services for Gabrielle Olivia Walters, infant daughter of Ryan Blake and Kristen Alena Sweat Walters will be held Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Tulsa, with Robert Vaught officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow at 2:30 p.m., in the New Home Cemetery, Peggs, under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.

Gabrielle was born Nov. 23, 2004, in Tulsa. She died on Feb. 6, 2004, in Tulsa.

Preceding Gabrielle in death are her grandma, Juanita Sweat, and great-grandpa Frank Sweat Sr.

Left to cherish he memory are her parents; grandparents, Nina and Ray Sweat of Tahlequah, and Steve and Linda Walters of Bartlesville; great-grandmother Ethel Sweat of West Siloam Springs; aunts and uncles, Theren, Brandon, Cheyenne, Justen and Leila Sweat; cousins, Hylan, Isaac and Donovan; and numerous great-aunts, uncles, friends and family members.

Calvin "Ponch" Robbins

OAKS -- Calvin "Ponch" Robbins was born Aug. 25, 1958, in Tahlequah, to William and Wynona (Fields) Robbins. He passed away on Tuesday March 9, 2004, in Tulsa, at the age of 45 years.

Ponch was a volunteer fireman for the community of Oaks for 26 years and fire chief for 13 years. He also served as a school board member for Oaks Public Schools.

Ponch was preceded in death by his father William, and a sister, Katherine Robbins.

He is survived by his wife Anita (Anglin) Robbins of the home; two sons, Vance Arron Robbins and Jeffrey Eugene Robbins; his mother, Wynona Robbins; three sisters, Peggy Blackbird, Janette Ellis and Pam Robbins; two brothers, Jimmy Robbins and Roger Robbins; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2004, at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Oaks, officiated by Rev. Don Marshall, Rev. Randall Cummings and Rev. Peg Oetjen. Burial will be at Oaks Cemetery under the direction of the Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Pallbearers will include Bugs Stanley, Dustin McCrary, Bradley Hollenback, Adam Armbrister, Mitch Christie and Chad Strong.

Ruth "Jean" (Turney Webb) Doyle

MIDWEST CITY -- Ruth "Jean" (Turney Webb) Doyle, 75, died peacefully Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, in her Midwest City home after a long illness.

Jean was born April 13, 1928, in Tahlequah, to Chester and Florence (Thompson) Turney. She graduated from Central High School in 1945 and Northeastern State College in 1948, where she was a member of the Central High School and Bagley High School reunion committee. After teaching in Kansas City, Mo., and Abilene, Texas, Jean moved to Midwest City in 1958, where she taught junior high and later managed a dental office.

Jean served as president of the Verbena Garden Club and was active in the Holiday Home Tours. Jean was also president and held many other offices in the Oklahoma County Dental Auxiliary, where she was instrumental in creating a past president's organization. Jean was an ACBL Life Master, and an active bridge player at Midwest City Senior Center.

Jean loved to travel, garden, paint and entertain. Her favorite pastime was following the University of Oklahoma Sooner football team, following the Sooners to many out of state and championship games. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Jean is survived by her husband, William "Hack" Doyle of the home; daughters Jeana Newville and husband Van of Westcliffe, Colo., Kelli Clary and husband Bill of Sand Springs, and Diana Doyle of Tulsa; grandchildren, Caleb Newville of Weatherford, Ashton Newville of Westcliffe, Colo., Eric Epperson and wife Torrie of Joplin, Mo., and Jacob Epperson of Tahlequah.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Oklahoma Cancer Association.

Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at Midwest Boulevard Christian Church in Midwest City, with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery in Edmond. Services were under the direction of Paylor Funeral Home.
