ROY STEVE RIST

TULSA, Okla. -- Roy Steve Rist, 47, died Friday, April 28, in Tulsa.

He was born April 17, 1953, to Berry C. and Gladys Rist in Liberal.

He was event coordinator for the Tulsa Fairgrounds. He was also a member of the McClure Park Council.

He is survived by three sisters, Phyllis Ikard, Stillwater, Okla., Mona Taylor, Pekin, Ill., and Joan Hartnett, Liberal.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Barry C. and Ronald Rist.

Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, Tulsa.

The family suggests contributions to the Ron Rist Scholarship Fund in care of Beaver High School.

CAROLYN CRAMER

Beaver, Okla. ญญ Carolyn Lola Faye Cramer, 71, died Sunday, April 23, 2000, at home.

She was born June 16, 1928, to Gabriel and Ella (Thomas) Parisho in Agra, Okla.

At the age of five, she and her mother moved to Beaver, Okla. to live with her grandparents, John and Essie Thomas.

She married Russell Cramer Dec. 16, 1946. They had two daughters, Sherry and Sheila. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a loyal, caring friend.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Barnett, Beaver, Okla. and Sheila Varner and husband, Paul, Portland, Ore.; six grandchildren,

Michael and wife, Barnett, Phoenix, Ariz., Russell and Shiloh Varner, Portland, Ore., Mitchell Barnett and wife, Claudia, Hobbs, N. M., Melinda Barnett, Beaver, Okla., Shanna Varner, Portland, Ore.; three great-grandchildren, Marissa and Micah Barnett, Phoenix, Ariz., Maisa Barnett, Beaver, Okla. and several other relatives.

A private "family only" viewing will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Clark Funeral Service, Beaver. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Overton Cemetery in Beaver, under the direction of Clark Funeral Service.

PAULINE "POLLY" McNABB

HOOKER, Okla. -- Pauline "Polly" McNabb, 87, Hooker, Okla., died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, Okla.

She was born April 17, 1913, to John Edward and Lucy Bell (Watkins) Snider in Helena, Okla.

She married Herschel S. McNabb Oct. 13, 1931, in Enid, Okla. They lived for a time in Lefors, Texas, and in 1949, moved to Hooker. He died Dec. 10, 1958.

She continued to live in Hooker and raised her children there.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hooker where she taught Sunday school and was known as "Miss Polly" to her students. She helped with the annual Ground Hog Supper at her church, where she made the mashed potatoes. When her health wouldn't allow her to help, she provided money for relish.

Her hobbies included playing bridge, working in her yard and growing flowers.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Irene Hopkins and husband, Billy L., Guymon, Okla.; two sons, John Edward McNabb and wife, Leda, Duncan, Okla., and Bruce Dale McNabb and wife, Rhonda, Bedford, Texas; a sister, Hazel Ross, Ringwood, Okla.; five grandchildren, Gayla Sue Stofko, Omaha, Neb., Debra Louise Cates, Katy, Texas, Grant Addison and Rebecca McNabb, Waxahachia, Texas, and Monica McNabb and Heather McNabb, both of Bedford, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Brandon Stofko and Alicia Stofko, both of Omaha, Ryan Cates of Katy, Michael McNabb and Nicholas McNabb, both of Waxahachia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Bill Snider, Clarence Snider and Earl Snider; and one sister, Maggie Mahieu.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Hooker, with the Rev. Kim Alan Domnick presiding.

Burial will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Good Hope Cemetery near Helena, Okla., with the Rev. Dean Holt of the Helena Nazarene Church presiding.

Memorials are suggested to the Hooker Ambulance Association or the Hooker Firefighters, both in care of Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, OK 73945.

MARTHA CRAWFORD

CANADIAN, Okla. -- Martha Elizabeth Crawford, 78, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 2, 1921, to Harrison Jones and Della Loree (Clevenger) Jones at Okmulgee, Okla.

She married Dillard Calvin Crawford Sept. 3, 1938, at Siloam Sprins, Ark.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Canadian First Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Shirley (Crawford) Pagpie, El Reno, Okla.; a sister and brother-in-law, Lillian (Jones) and Cecil Miller, Wichita; a brother, and sister-in-law, Leslie and Billy Jones of Calif.; three granddaughters, Marjorie and Jimmy Hickerson of Texas, and Barbara and Martin Hoselton, El Reno, and Joyce Buxton, Canadian; seven great-grandchildren, Kristy and James Hickerson of Texas, Jessica, Gordon, Richard and Robin Hoselton of El Reno, Tanner Buxton and Dustin Hutchings, of Canadian.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one son-in-law, W.O. Crosley, and great-granddaughter, Holly Elizabeth Hutchings.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Canadian, with the Rev. Rodney Karch presiding.

Graveside services were at 3:30 p.m. at El Reno, Okla., with the Rev. Paul Roach presiding.

Burial was at El Reno Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home in Eufaula, Okla.

PAULINE RUTH CROSS

BEAVER, Okla. -- Pauline Ruth Cross, 66, died April 4, 2000, at her home southeast of Elmwood, Okla.

She was born March 18, 1934, to Cyrus Olia and Gladys Marie (Hoogendoorn) Dean.

She married Marshall Cross Aug. 8, 1953, in Elmwood. He survives.

She worked as a nurse. She was a lifetime member of South Flats Church of Christ and a member of American Legion Auxiliary. She lived in Beaver County all her life.

Other survivors include three sons, Russell Cross, Kirbeyville, Texas, Lynn Cross, Elmwood, Okla, and Mark Cross, Liberal; one daughter, Lisa Johnson, Amarillo, Texas; one brother, Virgil Dean, Beaver, Okla; two sisters, Bonita James, and Donita Eyer, Beaver, Okla.; seventeen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Beaver Church of Christ with David Glascock and George Saunders presiding.

Burial will be at Sophia Cemetery in Elmwood, under the direction of Cark Funeral Services in Beaver.

EDWARD WAYNE MESSNER

LOGAN, Okla. -- Edward Wayne Messner, 47, died Saturday, May, 27, 2000, while working cattle south of Elmwood.

He was born Aug. 15, 1952, to Wayne William and Pauline (Jacobs) Messner in Darrouzett, Texas.

He married Susan Foster Aug. 19, 1978, in Darrouzett. She survives.

He lived in the Beaver County area.

He served in the U.S. Navy and served in the Viet Nam War.

He attended one year of college and two years of technical school and was employed at Enron.

Other survivors include two sons, Darryl and Donnie Messner, both of the home; his mother, Pauline Messner, Logan; three sisters, Texanna Ollenberger, Paola, Deanna Rogers, Ellinwood, and Coleen Bradley, Sheridan, Wyo.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Darrouzett, Texas High School Auditorium.

Burial will be at the Darrouzett Cemetery, Darrouzett, under the direction of Clark Funeral Service, Beaver, Okla.

IRENE E. KRUEGER

EDMOND, Okla. -- Irene E. Krueger, 99, died Monday, May 22, 2000, at Grace Living Center.

She was born Aug. 27, 1900, to Ezra and Mary (Mann) Elliott in Pratt.

She married Lyle E. Krueger Feb. 10, 1962, in Seward, Ala. He died Aug. 6, 1987.

She taught school in Kansas and Montana.

Survivors include two sons, David A. Krueger, Edmond, and Stephen L. Krueger, Kansas City, Mo.; one daughter, Cheryl E. McGuire, Farmington, Mich.; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt, with Darcy Krueger officiating.

Memorials may be sent to the Greenlawn Cemetery Endowment Fund in care of the Ayres-Calbeck Mortuary, 115 E. Fourth, Pratt, KS 67124.

HOMER "MIKE" BRENNON

BEAVER, Okla. -- Homer Michael "Mike" Brennon, 72, died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.

He was born Oct. 10, 1927, to Harry Homer and Rosalie Kathleen (Snyder) Brennon in Woodward, Okla.

He married Zeta Freeman Aug. 12, 1966, in Beaver. She died Jan. 12, 2000.

He was a maintenance worker for the Town of Beaver until his retirement. He graduated from Beaver High School and attended two years of college. He was a member of the Beaver First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Tamara Bonita Bensch, Manhattan, and Melody Maria Clark, Beaver; three brothers, Harold Brennon and wife, Wanda, Woodward, and Delbert Brennon and wife, Margaret, and Willard Brennon and wife, Judy, all of Beaver; two sisters, Juanita Berry and husband, Dwight, Argonia, and Lena Sistrunk and husband, Ralph, Wellington; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Beaver First Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Clearlake, Okla., under the direction of Clark Funeral Service, Beaver.
