DENZIL G. PUGH

BALKO, Okla. -- Denzil Garland Pugh, 59, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

He was born Jan. 8, 1943, to Floyd Woodrow and Myrtle Marie (Young) Pugh in Balko, Okla.

He graduated from high school, graduated from college and was a teacher in Wellington.

Survivors include his mother, Balko; one son, Cody Hayes, Wellington; two daughters, Teri Long, Liberal, and Denise Janko, Beaver, Okla.; two brothers, Donald Pugh, Yukon, Okla., and Wayne Pugh, Shattuck, Okla.; five grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Balko Baptist Church in Balko.

Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Balko.

Clark Funeral Service in Beaver is in charge of arrangements.

NINA CVANIGA

BEAVER, Okla. -- Nina (Maple) Cvaniga, 91, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, in Oklahoma City.

She was born Jan. 4, 1911, to Robert A. and Pearl (Judy) Maple in Beaver.

She graduated from high school and attended two years of college.

She taught school for a few years before becoming a homemaker.

She had been a resident of Oklahoma City for 15 years.

She was a member of the Edmond Church of God and had been an Eastern Star since 1934.

Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Smith, Fort Worth, Texas; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sons, Mark Mayo and Robert Mayo.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Beaver First Christian Church with Tim Keeling and Mike Crow presiding.

Burial will be at Pioneer Cemetery in Beaver.

Clark Funeral Service in Beaver is in charge of arrangements.

MARTHA M. MILLER

FORGAN, Okla. -- Martha May Miller, 96, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, in Guymon, Okla.

She was born Oct. 15, 1906, to Calvin Herron and Jessie (McKee) James in Cadiz, Ohio.

She graduated from high school and attended two years of college.

She was a homemaker.

She had been a resident of Guymon for 12 years.

She was a member of the Methodist Church for more than 70 years. She was an Eastern Star.

Survivors include one son, Gaylen Miller; one granddaughter, Bryana Gahagan, Mt. Pleasant, Texas; one great-granddaughter, Avenlee Ruth Ann Gahagan, Mt. Pleasant, Texas; and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Jim Miller; and one brother, Forest James.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Forgan United Methodist Church with David Mercer presiding.

Burial will be at the Forgan Cemetery in Forgan.

JODIE PARKER

TYRONE, Okla. -- Jodie Parker, 52, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, near Clear Creek, Colo.

She was born July 19, 1950, to C.W. and Beulah E. (Glenn) Weston in Wellington.

She married Larry W. Parker April 12, 1990, in Hugoton. He survives.

She graduated from Wellington HIgh School in 1967.

She moved to Hugoton in 1980, where she owned and operated Jo's Place. She was a resident of Tyrone since 1990.

Her hobbies included painting, arts and crafts, playing Bingo and singing.

Other survivors include her father, C.W. Weston and wife, Cora, Hugoton; three sons, David Allen Downing, Salina, Jon Parker and wife, Melissa, Liberal, and Clint Parker, Liberal; one brother, Chuck Weston and wife, Rhonda, Meade; four sisters, Connie Cabrera, Siapan, Vickie Marlin and husband, Jerry, Granite Falls, Wash., Mona Varraza and husband, David, Spokane, Wash., and Katie Vaugh, Spokane; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Miller Chapel in Liberal with the Rev. Robert Bailey presiding.

Cremation will follow the service.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until service time Thursday at Miller Mortuary in Liberal.

DONA L. PARKER

CORDELL, Okla. -- Dona Leona Parker, 90, former Liberal resident, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002.

She was born July 17, 1912, to James and Betty Smith in Strong City, Okla.

She married William Earl Parker July 29, 1929, in Cheyenne, Okla. He preceded her in death.

She resided in Liberal for 25 years at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She moved to Ponca City, Okla., in October 1999.

Survivors include two sons, Dale Parker and wife, Sue, Blackwell, Texas, and Don Parker and wife, Carolyn, Ponca City; three daughters, Lavesta Ray and husband, J.D., Liberal, Sue Leatherman and husband, Dwight, Ponca City, and Betty Appleton and husband, Richard, Wagner, Okla.; one daughter-in-law, Grace Parker, Blue Springs, Neb.; two brothers, Richard Smith, Cheyenne, and Loyd Smith, Oklahoma City; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two children; one brother; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church in Elk City, Okla., with the Minister Jack Ackerman presiding.

Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City.

Jack Loftiss Funeral Home in Cordell is in charge of arrangements.

AUSTIN T. COFFMAN

HOOKER, Okla. -- Austin Thomas Coffman, 16 months, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, from injuries sustained in a home accident.

He was born June 10, 2000, to Dustin and Jennie (Howell) Coffman in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include his parents, Hooker; one brother, Christian Blake Coffman, of the home; maternal grandparents, John and Debbie Howell, Hatfield, Ark.; paternal grandfather, David Coffman, Guymon; paternal grandmother, Linda Bryan and husband, Tony, Hooker; maternal great-grandparents, Louise Howard, Hatfield, Ark., and Charles and Tina Brock, Hatton, Ark.; paternal great-grandparents, Novie and Norma Coffman, Guymon; maternal great-great-grandmother, Mary Carr, Ardmore, Okla.; paternal great-great-grandmother, Clara Clawson, Liberal; aunts, Vickie Ramizes and husband, Fransisco, Cove, Ark., Sissy Carter, Guymon, and Debbie Baker and husband, Steven, Guymon; and two uncles, Jerry and Jimmy Howell, Hatfield.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, Earnie and Thelma Allen.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Church of Christ in Hooker with Mr. Neville Buchanan presiding.

Burial will be at Hooker Cemetery in Hooker.

Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker is in charge of arrangements.

HUGH SEAWRIGHT

HOOKER, Okla. -- Hugh Seawright, 85, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon, Okla.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church in Hooker with the Rev. Rick Trobaugh presiding.

Burial will be at Hooker Cemetery in Hooker.

Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker is in charge of arrangements.
