ANNA MARIE NAASZ

ELK CITY, Okla. -- Anna Marie Naasz, 27, died Wednesday, August 27, 2003, in Elk City.

She was born Aug. 15, 1976, to John and Kathy Kaye (Gibler) Naasz in Liberal.

Survivors include her father; one brother, Charles Naasz, Hooker, Okla.; one uncle, Devon Gibler and wife, Jenetta, Elk City, Okla.; one aunt, Judy Lamb and husband, Jim, Evans, Colo., and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother; step-mother, Selena; maternal grandparents, John and Alma Gibler and paternal grandparents, Edward and Dorothy Naasz.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church in Hooker, with the Reverend Rick Trobaugh presiding.

Burial will be at Hooker Cemetery in Hooker.

Memorials are suggested to the Luann Fischer Memorial Swimming Pool Fund in care of Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745 Hooker, OK 73945.

JUNE KLIEWER

ELK CITY, Okla. -- June Kliewer, 80, died Sunday, September 7, 2003, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Elk City.

She was born June 9, 1923, to Marvin Powers and Emma Mershon Powers north of Rocky, Okla.

She married Edwin Kliewer March 3, 1942, in Hobart, Okla. He preceded her in death.

She graduated from the Rocky School and attended Oklahoma City Beauty College. She owned and operated June's Beauty Shop in Cordell for 30 years.

Survivors include two sons, Butch Kliewer and wife, Cheryl, Cordelle, Okla. and Ken Kliewer and wife, Jaque, Turpin, Okla.; five grandchildren, Britt Kliewer, Chris Kliewer, Megan Lantz, Kaitlyn Lantz and Courtney Lantz; three great-grandchildren, Hunter Kliewer, Chase Kliewer and Brad Gavin Burnette.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lloyd Powers.

Funeral services are under the direction of Jack Loftiss Funeral Home in Cordell, Okla.

FERN HILL

GREELEY, Colo. ญญ Fern Hill, 82, Greeley, Colo., a former Turpin, Okla. resident, died Monday, July 7, 2003, at the North Colorado Medical Center, Hospice Inpatient in Greeley.

Funeral services are pending and will be arranged by Miller Mortuary in Liberal.

ALONZO "LONIE" RAYMOND POWELL

Alonzo "Lonie" Raymond Powell was born April 28, 1915, east of Hooker, Okla., to Dana and Ida Robinett Powell. He departed this life July 5, 2003, at his home after a lengthy illness.

He married Mary Garcia April 28, 1943, in Hugoton, and to this union five children were born.

Lonie loved to fish, garden, play dominos and pitch.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, of the home; his daughters, Juanita Graham and husband, Barry, Liberal, Earlene Powell, Wichita, Jenny Trisler and husband, Al, Hooker, Okla.; and three grandchildren, Lona Powell and Stephen Indleman of the home, Kenny Trisler, Hooker, Tasha Trisler and Jeremy Friesen, Liberal and a great-grandson Stephen Michael Indleman. He is also survived by two half sisters, Willa Mae Prevett, Yakima, Wash., and Anna Marie Newman; four half brothers, Chet Powell, Hesperia, Calif., Donnell Powell, Grove City, Ohio, Marvin Powell, Electric City, Wash., and Vernon Powell, Green Valley, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Vera Powell; son, Dana Joe; daughter, Carol Ann; two brothers, John and Earl Powell and half brother Joe Powell.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 7, 2003, at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Hooker, Okla. with the Rev. Merilee Berry officiating. Internment was at the Hooker Cemetery directed by the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to the Guymon Home Health Care and Hospice of both Liberal, and Guymon, Okla., and may be left at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, OK 73945.

PATRICIA LOUISE BRAWLEY SANDERS THOMPSON

PHARR, Texas -- Patricia Louise Brawley Sanders Thompson, 70, died Sunday, July 20, 2003, in Tulsa, Okla.

She was born July 21, 1932, to Claude and Frances Brawley.

She married Billy Thompson. He survives.

She graduated in 1950 from Beggs High School. She was a long-time employee of the Tulsa Public Schools.

Her hobbies included square dance, tennis, traveling, the outdoors and hosting get-togethers.

Other survivors include five children, Cindy and John Evans, Becky Reinhardt and John Rogers, Mac Sanders, Sam and Robin Sanders, and Jennifer and Scott Gilmore; five step-children, Richard Thompson, Jan and Don Eckroat, Larry and Linda Thompson, Glenn and Cheryl Thompson, and Liz Smith; one sister, Betty and Don Bowling; 29 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Harold Brawley.

Funeral services were Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Tulsa.

Arrangements were handled by Freeman Harris Funeral Home in Tulsa.

JOHN DEVON "J.D." VOILES

HOOKER, Okla. -- John DeVon "J.D." Voiles, 86, died Thursday, Sept. 25 at Wheatridge Park Center in Liberal.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist church in Hooker, Okla with the Rev. Rick Trobaugh officiating.

Memorials are suggested to the Hooker Lions Club or the Hooker Fire department and may be left at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 745, Hooker, OK 73945

Edwin Hill

HOOKER, Okla -- Edwin Hill, 96, died Monday, Sept. 29 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

Services are pending with Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Okla.

FLOSSIE MARIE BAILEY

Flossie Marie Bailey, 81, Hooker, Okla. passed away Sept. 27, 2003, at her home.

Flossie was born Northeast of Hooker, Okla., May 6, 1922, the daughter of Henry Parker and Sarah Ellaveda Mires Lasswell. She attended school at Rock Island Rural School and graduated from Hooker High School with the class of 1940.

Flossie was united in marriage to Guy R. Bailey, Jr., June 29, 1940, in Hooker, Okla. They moved to San Diego, Calif. when Guy, was the first man with a family in Texas County to be drafted into the U.S. Navy. After he went overseas, Flossie stayed in San Diego for two years running a 100 room boarding house. She returned to Hooker and after Guy returned from WWII they moved to Anthony, Kansas where they were in a partnership in auto service. In 1951, they moved back to Hooker and in the late 1950's they owned and operated the Phillips 66 Service Station. In 1961, they began farming full time.

Flossie was a member of the Hooker Church of Christ; past matron of the Eastern Star and was in charge of the Rainbow Girls for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Guy, on Dec. 31, 1992; one daughter, Kay Crump; one brother, Haskell Howell and one sister, Mary Noreen Herring.

Survivors include her two sons, Guy Richard "Dick" Bailey, Hooker, Okla. and Lonnie Bailey and his wife, Cindy, Knowles, Okla.; one brother, Willard "Bill" Howell and his wife, Eileen, Hooker, Okla; one sister, Henriella Booth and her husband, Robert, Tyrone, Okla.; three grandsons, Trent Crump and his wife, Rainy, Tate Crump and his wife, Lori, and Tony Crump all of Pheonix, Ariz.; six great-grandchildren, Jordan, Zack, Kyle, Conner, Kaylin and Lauren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at the Hooker Church of Christ with Neville Buchanan officiating.

Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery directed by the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Okla.

Memorials may be given to the Hooker Ambulance Association or the Leader Dog School for the Blind and may be left at the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, OK 73945.

CARL MCKINNON

GUYMON, Okla. -- Carl Lee McKinnon, Jr., 80, died Wednesday, October 1, 2003.

He was born to Mary Jane (Shelburne) and Carl Lee McKinnon, Sr.

He married Jenny Lou Long, Sept. 26, 1944 in Mountain Home, Idaho. She survives.

He graduated from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene in 1947. He was a partner in Long & McKinnon Insurance. He was the "Voice of the Tigers" for 52 years, announcing at the Guymon High School Tiger football games. He was a World War II Veteran.

He was a member of the First Christian Church. He was an elder and church board member. He was a golfer and served on the Sunset Hill s golf board. He was a member of the Guymon Kiwanis Club, Chamber of Commerce, the Masonic Lodge #335, AF and AM American Legion.

Other survivors include three sons;Lou McKinnon, Roger McKinnon and wife, Janell, Guymon, Doug McKinnon and wife, Deborah, Castle Rock, Colo., Warner McKinnon and wife, Vickie, Guymon, Okla.; one brother, Tom McKinnon, Bailey, Colo., two brothers-in-law, David Long and wife, Mary, Guymon, Okla., and Norman Wilmeth, Guymon, Okla.; four grand-children, Cameron McKinnon and wife, Corrie, Guymon, Okla., Stephanie McKinnon, Guymon, Jacqueline Riley and husband, Tommy , Guymon, Kimberly Rousey and fiance', Jonathan Hunt, Guymon, Okla; one great-granddaughter, Carlie McKinnon; 6 nieces and nephews, JayLile, and wife, Eva, Steve Long and wife,Debbie, Renee Wilmeth, Pat Long, Lisa Gordan and husband, Douglas, Carol Wheeler and husband, John, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and step-mother, Joy McKinnon.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Saturday at the Guymon High School Auditorium with Rev. David Harker presiding.

Burial was at Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church, Guymon Booster Club, Dunaway Manor or the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Foundation in care of Henson-Novak Funeral Directors, P.O. Box 1302, Guymon, OK 73942.

ELMINA MAE HOLLEMAN

BEAVER, Okla -- Elmina Mae Holleman, 86, died in Beaver County Nursing Home in Beaver, Okla.

She was born July 23, 1917 to James and Jessie (Strong) Carter.

She married Junior Holleman, June 14, 1953 in New Mexico. He survives.

She was a homemaker.

Other survivors three sons, Sanford Starr, Perryton,Texas, Dean Starr, Beaver, Okla, Leroy Holleman, Noblesville, Ind.; one daughter Patricia Knowles, Claredon, Texas; one sister, Deloris Nichols, beaver, Okla.; 14 grandchildren, 21 grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today at the Beaver United Methodist Church with Wyatt Carpenter and Torrey Curtis presiding .

Burial was at the Pioneer Cemetery in Beaver, Okla.

LEONA L. ANDERSON

TYRONE, Okla. -- Leona L. Anderson, died Friday, July 18, 2003, in Madill, Okla.

Graveside Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the cemeteryin Tyrone with the Pastor Dee Estes from the Trinity Faith Church presiding.
