MILLARD P. MOORE

GUYMON, Okla. ­-- Millard Paul "Mid" Moore, 80, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.

He was born Sept. 20, 1923, to Leuticia Jane (Swagerty) and Roy Elijah Moore in Elkhart.

He married Mabel Marguerite Daniel Dec. 27, 1942. She survives.

He attended Prairieview and Elkhart schools before the family moved to Alamosa, Colo., where he graduated with the class of 1940.

He moved back to Elkhart and then moved with his sister and her family to Las Vegas, Nev., working in construction for a munitions plant.

He began his career in the oilfield with Dowell Incorporated in Hugoton and moved to Guymon, Okla., in 1946. He continued to work in the oil and gas producing industry for another 44 years and retired in 1989.

The Moores were active members of Victory Memorial United Methodist Church.

They also enjoyed fishing and camping. After retirement, he stayed active in his workshop with woodworking, blessing family members with grandfather clocks and other beautiful woodcraft pieces.

Other survivors include a son, Larry Moore and wife Barbara (Mueller), Eagan, Minn.; two daughters, Connie and husband Richard Brady, Beaumont, Texas, and Christy Shriver, San Antonio, Texas; two grandchildren, Andy Moore and wife Jennifer, Farmington, Minn., and Krista and husband Joe, Rosemount, Minn.; two great-grandsons, Asher Moore and Aaron Raschke; and one brother, Eldon Moore and wife Dorothy, Valinda, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Ella Staley, two brothers, Vern Moore and Ervin Moore and a son-in-law, James Shriver, Jr.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday at Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Burkett and the Rev. Katie Brown presiding.

Burial will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.

Friends may visit until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

A Mid Moore memorial has been established for Victory Memorial United Methodist Church and may be given at the church or in care of Henson-Novak Funeral Home, Box 1306, Guymon, OK 73942.

BOB L. GREGG

BEAVER, Okla. ­-- Bobbie Leon Gregg, 73, died Saturday, June 19, 2004, in Lubbock, Texas.

He was born June 18, 1931, to Elven Roe and Elsie Lucille (Reeves) Gregg in Beaver, Okla.

He married Vivian D. Jemes on July 20, 1954, in Beaver. She survives.

He graduated from Beaver High School in 1949.

He was a farmer and rancher in Beaver County all his life.

He was a member of the Beaver Christian Church.

Other survivors include one son, Gary Gregg, Beaver; two daughters, Linda McGlaun, Olton, Texas, and LaNell Forward, Liberal; two grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Beaver Christian Church with Rick Main presiding.

Burial will be in the Pioneer Cemetery.

MARIA R. SCHROEDER

ADAMS, Okla. ­-- Maria R. Schroeder, 79, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at her residence in Adams, Okla.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday at the Mennonite Brethren Church in Adams, Okla., with the Rev. Odie Nunley presiding.

Burial will be in the Mennonite Brethren Cemetery near Adams, Okla.

IVA M. ULLRICH

BEAVER, Okla. ­-- Iva May Ullrich, 100, died July 2, 2004, at Beaver County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Sept. 23, 1903, to George and Ida Mae (Gann) Krouss in Chillicothe, Mo.

She married Bill Ullrich Dec. 30, 1923, in Beaver County, Okla. He preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker all her life.

She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Warren Ullrich, Enid, Okla., Charles Ullrich, Beaver, Okla., and Elvin Ullrich, Beaver, Okla.; one daughter, Norma Smith, Beaver, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at Beaver United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery.

JAMES B. PIERCE

HOOKER, Okla. ­-- James Benjamen Pierce, 22, died July 4, 2004, from injuries sustained in an auto accident near Woodward, Okla.

He was born Dec. 8, 1981, to James Ralph and Barbara Ann Collins Pierce in Guymon, Okla.

He attended school in Texhoma, Okla., until seventh grade, and then moved to Hooker where he completed his education. He graduated from Hooker High School in 2000. He attended college at Northwestern State University in Alva, Okla., for one year. While there he entered the U.S. Army National Guard.

He served in Kuwait and at the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom was transferred to Iraq where he served from January to July of 2003.

He attended Sergeants Training School in Nebraska in January 2004.

He was a Spc. E-4, U.S. Army National Guard Infantry, B Company 1/179th Infantry Division 45th Brigade.

While at school he worked for the Dough Factory. He was a trainee working for Baker-Hughes in Woodward.

While in high school, he was on the 2000 State Champion 400 meter Relay Team, was a four year letterman in track, was on the football team for three years and was on the Power Lifting Team. During the summer he played with the Hooker American Legion Baseball team. He was in FFA for a year.

Survivors include his parents; one sister, Katie Pierce, Hooker, Okla.; one brother, Dustin Pierce, Hooker, Okla.; and grandmother, Martha Pierce, Guymon, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ivan Pierce, and his maternal grandparents, Jesse Collins, Margaret Morgan and Robert Morgan.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday at Hooker High School Gymnasium with a chaplain from the U.S. Army National Guard Infantry presiding.

Burial will be in the Texhoma Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice and may be left at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Okla., 73945.

KENNETH K. RITTERBUSH

FORGAN, Okla. ­-- Kenneth Kay Ritterbush, 67, died Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at his home in Forgan, Okla.

He was born Feb. 12, 1937, to Kenneth Lorriane and Fleta Darlene (Hill) Ritterbush in Beatrice, Neb.

He married Carolyn Nichols on May 5, 1956, in Forgan. She survives.

He graduated from Beaver High School.

He was a process operator for Chevron.

He was a member of the Baptist Church for more than 40 years.

He was a member of the Pioneer Park Golf Club.

Other survivors include one son, Craig Ritterbush, Forgan; three daughters, Jeanne Ritterbush, Texhoma, Okla., Kristi Rash, Turpin, Okla., and Angela Becerril, Perryton, Texas; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday at Forgan Baptist church with Bill Nichols presiding.

Burial will be in Forgan Cemetery.

ELSIE A. PHIPPS

ELMWOOD, Okla. ­-- Elsie Ardena Phipps, 88, died July 7, 2004, in Perryton, Texas.

She was born Oct. 18, 1915, to James Wesley and Nellie May (Rothenberger) Porter in Beaver, Okla.

She married Richard Clay Phipps July 18, 1960, in Tijuana, Mexico. He died Feb. 3, 1987.

She graduated from Alva High School.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Beaver Christian Church.

She is survived by one brother, Harry Porter, Lucerne, Calif.; two sisters, Hazel Blankenship and Elva Higgins, St. Mary's; and many relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Sophia Cemetery with Jack Cornell presiding.

Burial will be in the Sophia Cemetery.
